My dad was an extra in 1995, in Jim Carrey's old film "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls." Scenes with the monks were filmed in SC. My dad was also paid extra to shave his head to play one of the monks, along with a lot of his Navy buddies, because they were looking for Asians. Dad said Jim Carrey was sooo nice always talking and joking with the extras during breaks for the whole week.
One day, during lunch, dad was near the end of the line with a few others and had run out of food. Jim Carrey found out about it, and he told them to follow him. He led them to the catering section for the actors, and told them to enjoy the food and thanked them for all their hard work. (Dad said the hardest part was sitting on the floor for hours indian style while filming as a monk, which he wasn't used to, legs falling asleep)...lol
He has framed photographs of him in costume and said it was the best experience and Jim Carrey was so kind and real.

Loved this one, loved the Angelina Jolie story. I don't think your question to Jason Statham was too personal "How does it feel to turn 50" is as generic as it gets, he wasn't expected to tell you how his mother and father met, just "It feels good, I have to take care of myself and exercise more ..."

@@Flaawsometalk Every interview I watch I think you are really nice and if I was doing a lot of interviews I would definitely enjoy meeting you. You are authentic, unlike the interviewers that overact and you are polite, unlike others who genuinely act rude on purpose. I would at the very least enjoy the meeting if not feel delighted with the interview. Some people just ask silly questions, but you seem to go out of your way to get to meaningful info. With Elton John, it was a good question and could have lead to "what was it like performing for an animated movie? was it different or just like performing other songs". What type of questions could you have possibly asked?

KF, you are beyond adorable! Okay people, I worked with people of all different mental health issues for 20 years. That doesn't give anyone the right to be rude including people on the spectrum especially as highly functioning as AH. These celebrities make millions and millions of dollars because of us, their fans, so suck it up and be polite to journalists like our lovely KF. They are professional actors so they can ACT like they are enjoying themselves and stop being petulant.

Another good one Kjersti. I always look forward to your shows. I've always thought Angelina gets a bum rap. The way some people talk about her with such disdain. She always seems nice when you see her in interviews. I know she is involved in charities. Wasn't she/ or still a Goodwill Ambassador? She is stunningly beautiful and a great actress. All that stuff about her, Jennifer and Brad is their business. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors in anyone's life. It makes for some good gossip. I enjoy hearing it as much as the next person, but I take it with a grain of salt. I thought about rephrasing the end on my sentence, it wasn't intented, but It's cute.

Hopkins is a bit of a legend in my city. He filmed here, many years ago, and loved it because of how much he could move around without getting recognized. I’ve waited on him several times and he was always very lovely. I never acknowledged that I knew who he was though, as that was my personal rule of conduct working at one of the city’s most high-end restaurants. I just treated the celebrities that came in as any other customer. My co-worker, however, did not and as soon as he made a big fuss, you could see the energy shift as Hopkins became uncomfortable. He was never anything approaching rude, just aloof and maybe a bit self conscious. It’s a smaller city and restaurant culture is unique (iykyk) so we tried to insulate him from feeling awkward by making sure people didn’t approach him for autographs and the like. Not a single person had a negative experience to report. The entire city, at least the waitstaff and bartenders, had fun anecdotes and adored him by the time the film wrapped. There’s no way of knowing for sure but I think if we didn’t spread the word early in the project, he might not have felt as comfortable going out.
My ex was either the key grip or best boy on that project, which is how I know about the comments he made expressing how special our city was… he was good to the crew too.
I spent 13 years with an IATSE film production crew member and have a lot of horror stories I could spill about certain celebrities, but I will take those to the grave because they aren’t mine to tell. The ones that were super positive, which are few and far between, I’m not as cautious with. Of the 10 or so that my ex and I both had firsthand experiences with, only 2 were positive for both of us- Anthony Hopkins is one of them. ❤

I am as compassionate and careful to provide a safe space as can be, but just because you have an issue does not mean it is okay to make disparaging remarks or keep people waiting. I love how that suddenly comes up and is used as an excuse. It is not. I love AH's acting, but I would not give him a pass just because someone in the comments mentions he is on the spectrum. We all have things going on, things wrong with us, and we don't all use them as an excuse to get away with horrid behavior. Stop it, people. If you cannot exist in society, don't choose a situation in which you have to put yourself out there. He wasn't obligated to say yes to an interview. Stop this, people.

When they got there, she thanked the man and said "I'm sorry , but I feel like I know you". Everyone has bad days but some days are particularly bad. We have no idea what is happening with people. Sometimes it's a bad day in a bad life and that's particularly hard. Fame is very hard on some people even if they are paid well but they love the art of acting on film as opposed to in a play. For some people, you are right, it will be that they couldn't be bothered to make the effort and they are entitled and may even be mean. And for others there may be a legitimate reason why it would be very challenging to be friendly that day. Exposing the unfriendliness and even rudeness and unkindness or coldness of some I agree is helpful in that it gets the stars to know that what they do has impact and that they're not entitled to that. I also believe it is important to be more nuanced in your judgement

Okay, I understand about being a nice person and treating people with respect and being polite. I'm that way, typically, especially when out in public, and whenever dealing with anyone. That said, I was at the grocery store, just being the way I am, conscientious and (probably too) nice and the cashier got all upset with me and called me passive aggressive because I wanted to make sure he could take a fifty (dollar bill). I don't usually have bills in that denomination and maybe it was just silly of me to ask, but that's just how I am. I used to cashier, so I was thinking of it from that angle. Anyway, it really confused me that he would call me that and the other people in the line were looking at me like deer caught in headlights. I apologized and told him I hadn't meant to be that way, but that only made it worse. 🙄 If I ever go to that store, I never go in his lane and always check to make sure he's not working the lane I do get in. But, I rarely go to that store anymore. It's not that I'm afraid, I just don't want to deal with weirdos who don't get me. 🥴

Well “that’s” actually not why celebrities get paid so much, “cause they have to deal with the attention”. Specifically if we are talking about actors, we are talking about big investments all around so you need to invest in someone who will most likely give you a good return on that investment…and not bankrupt your studio with one project…”Cleopatra”🤦🏾‍♀️I think it makes people feel better to say the A list makes a ton of money so they have to deal with drawbacks. But no, they get paid a lot of money cause they are WORTH a lot of money. Mind you a lot celebrities made significant risky investments and decisions at different points early on. It’s not easy to take the path….and generally it takes talent that you can’t just find in just any and everyone. It’s “easier” to get a safe job. But is it fulfilling?🤔

I love these videos! I think its definitely true that it's sometimes hard to say if someone is having a bad day or not. Personally I'm such an introvert naturally I think it'd be so hard to be a public figure and deal with lots of people and have to put on a happy face all the time. I struggle a lot with depression and chronic health issues and I always feel bad if I'm having an off day since it's hard to be around people when those days hit. I've met a few celebrities at local comic cons and one of my personal favorite celebrities I've ever met is Jason Isaacs from the Harry Potter films. I got to meet him twice too! The first time was getting an autograph and he was kind and insightful in answering my questions. And I quite literally just today got a photo op with him and the Baldurs Gate 3 VA cast and he was the first to shake my hand and just be incredibly kind. 😊

This is a really good point! During bad days, we should still keep ourselves nice and polite. It's nobody's faults the way we feel or the problems we have those specific days. Therefore, it's not right to make surrounding people feel miserable. Loved your mindset❤❤❤. Being polite has to do with education, empathy and sense of professionalism.

Jerry the King Lawler was one of the weirdest celebrity encounters I’ve ever had. This took place at a comic con
My husband loved him. I didn’t know him at all. I’m not into wrestling. So when my husband goes up to meet him and I am there to take a picture of them, it got kind of weird. Mr. Lawler thought I was there to see him. I was standing a little bit back so that I can get a picture of them together. He clearly was not impressed with my Harley Quinn costume. So we had a silent conversation between the two of us, for him to realize my husband was the one who wanted attention and not me. He looked me up and down with a frown on his face, then pointed to his fiancé to show that he was already taken. It was a bit annoying. I kept pointing towards my husband who was standing right next to him. How he didn’t get realize I was with the man, who is standing next to him, I will never know.
There were all kinds of women wearing tight costumes. So the fact that he thought I came to his booth to get attention was just weird. I can only assume this because I was in a corset thought that I was there for the attention. My husband had no idea that me and Mr. Lawler had this conversation. He was fan boying. So he didn’t notice.
The whole time I was thinking dude, “I don’t even know who you are. I didn’t dress up to get you to look at me. I’m here for my husband. I wouldn’t ever gone to your booth for myself.”

Hi Kjersti!😊 Love your videos so much!❤ Have you interviewed Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and if so, what did you think of her? I haven’t met many celebrities, but I’ve met many authors and have found several of them to be quite rude and mean to me, even when I’ve always been nice and friendly to them whenever I see them at events. Leigh Bardugo made me cry when I met her for the first time because she was really mean to me, and it completely affected my ability to read and enjoy her books afterwards. I still haven’t seen the Shadow and Bone series on Netflix because Leigh Bardugo’s name is attached to it. She just triggers me too much for me to be able to fully enjoy any of her work anymore, sadly. Tysm for sharing your experiences and making me feel less alone whenever I think of interactions I’ve had with people I admire who haven’t always turned out to be as warm and friendly as I expected them to be.❤ Being kind is so important, especially towards others. Can’t wait for your next video! Tysm once again for everything you do!❤❤❤

I remember when I first started out in the industry I would always ask: "How's so and so?" Finally, I was told: "Dude, they're people, they're people too." I thought that was blasphemy at the time. Years later, I've found the ones that are still around are around because, crews and people like working around them. Makes sense. Would you want to work with a person that's unpleasant - not saying that doesn't happen - it does, but it's more rare than people realize. On the interview front - it seems like speed dating and one time I was visiting a friend who is famous as he was at a convention signing fan autographs - I got worn out just sitting next to him as he signed autographs and talked to fans - it takes a special talent to do all of that. I enjoy watching these videos.

Honnestly you should not apologize. Just because you are on the spectrum does not mean you can be disrespectful. Nowdays people use any diseases to justify behaving like jurk. That's just ridiculous. He chose to be an actor. That's part of his job to answer questions and he does not need to be an actor if he can't fulfill his job. There plenty of invisible disabilities are you supposed to guess all of them. People could cancel last min because of horrible migraines, painful periods.... It's not your job to guess
And even actors with no disabilities may just be physically or mentally tired of stupid questions but in those cases the least they could do is at least find ways to make it up for the journalists who had wasted their days because of you. He and his manager could have proposed other alternatives. They did not so he is just a jurk. You can have a disability and still be a jurk.

Whereas less successful people are mean because they're taking their insecurities out on other people - I've had a lot of people be mean to me and I try to reassure them that they're in fact very talented and worthy, and that they don't need to be bitchy to get ahead (I've worked as a dancer for nearly a decade)

I think you may be presuming too much when you assert that celebs can just defy their publicists/handlers. Those are personal-professional relationships with their own dynamics, and these junkets must be exhausting, it's just a lot to presume. Maybe Angelina and her people communicate better than Elton and his. Statham seemed to give his publicist exasperated side-eye but at the same time, he just shrugged it off and didn't answer the birthday question, and I think that's fine. The question that Angelina answered over objections was much more sophisticated

    • @princessebob
      @princessebob 6 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

I think you underestimate how much celebrities don't feel they need to answer to anyone. Their publicists might have a job to do that involves steering their clients away from saying anything too controversial but, aside from that, they don't 'get' to tell celebrities what they can and can't answer. It's their priority to make the person who pays them happy and so they are often acting on their client's pre-discussed wishes and/or moods and it enables the celebrity to come out looking faultless.

I hope this helps Good luck on your journey.
