And that is a very good thing to have in society lmao but why are you even pointing this out? Anyone with a brain knew this while watching this movie (or rewatching the movie in their future)
It is actually about Peter learning how to be a grownup-how to be a selfless father who thinks more of his children than he does of himself. The movie begins with Peter a selfish, useless father who can't stand his children and wants nothing to do with them; it ends with him literally flying at the mere thought of his children and risking his life to save them. He transforms from a spoiled child to a consummate hero father. He grows up!
I always loved that detail that Hook swaps from his showy ceremonial sword to something a bit more practical, or maybe that he prefers to use when he actually has to fight a worthy opponent.
There is also a genuine matter of practicality. He swaps a slashing sabre for a piercing rapier. A good decision given the tight quarters and Rufio's armor.
5:47 I always found it hilarious that this epic battle is going on, but Smee is just doing his own thing and stealing all of Hook's treasure. It explains how he was able to get a new life outside of Neverland when he went back to the real world with Peter Pan.
Actually, I didn't know if he could go back. It's funny to consider - where would the guy spend the treasure? The pirates just collect it out of habit 😂
@@jamesboulger8705 Mr.Smee appeared at the end as a janitor when Peter returned. He either got a little bit of fairy dust from the lost boys or found another way when Peter and Hook fought. When it comes to the treasure, he definitely spent it somewhere considering that he wasn't wearing his pirate gear and had on regular street clothes.
@@edicus_18moffett57who was watching it when it came out though? Us. Not that younger people can't appreciate it. One of the best films of my childhood.
@@edicus_18moffett57yeah but mostly 80’s kids saw it when it came out because I wasn’t born yet nor the majority of 90’s babies. The only 90’s babies alive were 1 or a couple of months old.
Every time I watch this movie I see some thing. At 3:04 When hook extends his left arm with the hook to drag smee to him, smee grabs his hook and puts his belt on it himself lmao.
Not gonna lie as a kid this movie really had me believing if i had happy thoughts i could fly and when i didnt im like damn am i only thinking negative thoughts? Lol
3:18 The first time I saw this epic movie, my little brother literally thought Smee was saying, “everybody stop fighting!” 😂😂 But after a few seconds he learned what he actually said!
4:35 - 5:46 Thud is just stacking KO's and generally being the most V.I.P combatant in the war. That fat boy is one jolly beast. And people wonder why Peter chose Thud to be the leader.
Hah even if I'm right or wrong? The Captain Hook seemed to be a little nice person! Like Peter Pan and Hook would've made friends with each other have peace and such!
Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?

BANGARANG!
Dustin Hoffmans portrayal of Capt Hook is a top 10 villain performance of all time. Same with the musical score by John Williams
Definitely
This movie is a movie of a generation it truly does deserve more acclaims
This whole flick is a euphemism for a dad relearning how to play make believe with his kids again
You make that sound like a bad thing😢
And that is a very good thing to have in society lmao but why are you even pointing this out? Anyone with a brain knew this while watching this movie (or rewatching the movie in their future)
@@fredfry5100it would be called woke today
@@fredfry5100 Howso? That's literally what the movie's about. It doesn't sound like a bad thing at all.

Love that it’s mostly practical effects & sets rather than CGI.
Dustin Hoffman was such a brilliant Capt Hook.
Robin Williams 'portrail of Peter pan is brilliant.
I seriously forgot how much I loved this movie!!!! Amazing cast and just a great story.
I love this movie version of Peter Pan, RIP Robin Williams
Also sadly, Bob Hoskins (Smee) has also been lost to us as well
And Dame Maggie Smith RIP.
I used to reenact thus scene in my living room when my parents weren't home. “remember the fires from hell that forged you!”
I love The look of pure psychotic joy on hooks face when he sees Peter pan
That's because the return of Peter Pan is the happiest day of Captain James Hook's life, the day Peter Pan finally meets his well-deserved end.
it gets me every time on that. Turning from a surprised look to a joyful smile.
Agree or disagree this is the best live action version of Peter pan and hook
No one would disagree
I 100% agree
Agreed!
Aside from the Disney classic film, this is my other favorite Peter Pan movie.
Rest In Peace Robin Williams.
Also Rest in Peace Bob Hopskins.
I’m still going to miss him.
And bob Hopskins too
I met Robin Williams when I was a kid!
For now, Rest In Peace Robin and Bob, until resurrection is made (as scientists are said to be working on).

4:16 his reaction is hilarious 😂😂😂
Hook: "Smee do something intelligent."
Smee: 5:47

That was not asked. I know it is Bob Hoskins, but it doesn’t say it is. The sweeper is credited as Smee, according to sources.
No one could have played Peter better in this movie no one
Same for Hook, Dustin Hoffman was one of a kind for that role.
4:17 man that look, he's so baffled at being beaten by children
The coordination and strategic thinking that it took for these kids to pull off this siege is amazing
Bangerang!!!!!
Gets me every time.
4:16 When a fight goes unexpectedly not planned.
2:01 The pirate standing on the canon watching all the pirates fall! 😂
This is why 80’s babies are the best 🤝🕺🏽
Actually this came out in 1991

I love the effect he has on pirates. Once they believe he is back in form, the pirates are scared shitless of him.

I never noticed that before! Bob Hoskins was incredible.
This and the Disney animated movie are the definitive versions of Peter Pan. Exactly how J.M. Barrie envisioned it when he first wrote the story.
This movie and the pirate screaming at 2:58 never gets old Hook and his men got caught off guard 🤣
Rest in peace robin Willams 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
Thank you, steven Spielberg, Dustin Hoffman, an of course,
Robin Williams 😇😄!!

The way hook pushes the boy off to the side lmao

I love the fact that Hook knows his pirates are being defeated by basically children games and toys.

Did john williams win anything for the music in this ? Its phenomenal .
That good 'ol spielberg magic.
Thats my dad but he hates to fly with a smile and a laugh is my favorite part of this clip
Here come the Cavalry 2:24
Luckily i own this movie on dvd. This is the best peter pan movie ever. RIP ROBIN WILLIAMS ❤❤
How can a kid to forget his dad in 3 days?!
That's Neverland for you.
Wow
I like that some of these pirates are getting hit with silly eggs and tomatoes and some are getting straight up disemboweled by Rufio and Peter
This is speilbergs most underrated film.
NOICE
One of my all time favourite films
Imagine being one of the kids on this set. Had to be awesome
When you cant tell whos the actor it makes it better. You seen them in alot then this whattttt
5:29
Only Robin could pull off puns during a fight
R.i.p robin williams you were my childhood 🙏🙌
Dustin Hoffman remains my favorite Captain Hook
I never noticed that Hook doesn't use his fancy sword for Rufio. Like Hook doesn't consider him worthy enough for his own sword.
DUstin you also play shifu from kung fu panda
Best scene is an adult Peter pan fighting captain hook
I think Smee did indeed something INTELLIGENT!!!
A rooster laying eggs 😂
4:35 - 5:46 Thud is just stacking KO's and generally being the most V.I.P combatant in the war. That fat boy is one jolly beast. And people wonder why Peter chose Thud to be the leader.
Fun adventures

So the food fight was practice for this battle?
Growing up is realizing that Peter murders two men at 1:15 and 1:19 😬

Who are the children supposed to be with Maggie?
Lost boys that got caught. In the book hook it explains it
Thud Butt going Sonic the Hedgehog on em
Peter Pan is christ the lord
He might locked in passed
Funny how people just be stabbed with a sword and no blood
😂😂😂 it's funny because his not my brother
Marbles captain hook lose
Robin Williams 💚 you made my childhood.
