Omni-Man has the opposite issue that Red Rush had. To Red Rush, a second felt like hours. To Omni-Man, Debbie's entire lifespan would feel like a mini vacation for him. Nolan wished that Mark would have never developed Viltrumite powers. Most likely, he was hoping to wait until both Debbie & Mark died of old age before revealing to the world his true intent.
*Viltrumite age FYI:* Nolan's age was never directly stated, but it was mentioned somewhere in the lore that a Viltrumite's lifespan could reach 100 thousand years.

As fucked up as he is, part of me can still sympathize a little bit with Nolan. He grew up in a completely different world, a world where only this narrative of their empire exists. He literally never learned anything different. Until he met Debbie. She taught him completely different values to that of his core believes, and he liked it. But ultimately, in his mind he knows that this is inevitable. And with Mark getting his powers he felt like he might as well do it now, since Mark would live just as long anyway. The flashback to them watching him play baseball clearly shows that he enjoyed his life on Earth, and his little lone drops of tears clearly show that he probably wishes for things to be different himself as well. As a character I definitely love him.
Yeah, they dropped clues through the episodes about how old omni man really was. Like him "remembering something yesterday" but then debbie corrects him and says that was years ago. That's because that's how he sees time, years to him is like yesterday. He's around 2k years old at this point in time.
That’s pretty crazy if they can live to the six figures but people also misinterpreted what he meant when he said Debbie was like a pet to him. For a human 100 years is a long time and stated as a full life, but for him that’s 1/1,000th of his own lifetime. So because he has learned these new values from Debbie and is one of the kindest/sympathetic and yet strongest viltrumites being the real heir to the throne he knows that he can’t get to attached because her entire life is a flash to him. As humans have to come to terms with, with things like their pets cause they live an even shorter amount of time. He does love her like a lover and soulmate just tells this to himself mentally in the background.
Random thought while watching Mark try to fight Nolan: Omni Man takes "dad strength" to a whole other level.

@@BeautyandtheBeard1yep. This show came out in march 2021. It’s taken almost 3 years for season 2 to come out. Luckily they did season 2 and 3 together so season 3 should come out in a year or year and half

Coincidentally the first part of Invincible season 2 starts on the 3th, and the last part of AoT on the 4th.
I couldn't wait and I read the comic, ngl the liberties they took with the show were kinda bad but it's invincible so it's still good lol
The thing a lot of people don’t realize is Omni man’s time on earth has been just a spec in his life. Vilturmites live for thousands of years. I don’t think people realize how long that is. And the fact that Debbie and Mark was able to make Omni man actually feel something in that tiny time is remarkable. Yeah he called her a pet but it makes sense. And not only that. Everything omni man says makes sense once you reach the finale and Omni man beats down mark. But this finale was so great and I loved this show and can’t wait for season 2.

So one thing alot of people don’t realize is when Omni Man calls Debbie a pet he isn’t literally calling her a dog or a possession. He’s saying she’s temporary. Im convinced he genuinely loves her, even if HE doesn’t believe it, but his conditioning as a soldier is so strong that he can’t unbreak from his beliefs.

Because it is dehumanizing and degrading. It devalues them as a person. Even if it is little time for him that he spends with her, he could still value it for what it is.
He already valued it for what it is, 20 years of a viltrumite's lifespan, that's like having a hamster pet that would die in 2 years, you have to remember that before his little time on earth he's been a viltrumite for 200 or 400, hell maybe even 600 years, he's not going to magically change and forget everything he experienced as a viltrumite for those centuries just because he'd lived 20 years on earth@@Dark__Thoughts

It's crazy how durable marks body is. Fun fact, dc's the flash is terrified of superman moving at full speed during a race, because if flash trips it could kill himself, if superman trips, his body and momentom would destroy everything it touched. Just like Mark and the train or the city.
