  • Hey guys, sorry for the lack of content lately I have been so busy and just not motivated to edit at all, I promise I'm making more vlogs soon, God willing... but anyways I did this a few days ago, Samuel helped me install the rough country 2 inch leveling kit that had been sitting in my backseat for almost a year now... I really like the new look on the truck now, it definitely feels more like a truck now. Hope this video was helpful if you found it through search! I would've definitely installed it sooner had I known it was this easy! only took 2 hours... you can certainly do it in one quick sitting with a friend.

      You don’t. I rebuilt the suspension this past year, new control arms and shocks and it took at least 6-8hours by myself…. Only way you could go so fast would be with a shop and some extra hands

    That bolt looks a bit short for the leveling kit. I like about 1.5 to 2 threads beyond the nut.

      The next size up was reallllly long they shipped the kit with multiple bolt sizes for some reason, but they’re still doing fine

      Correct but that’s how you learn. Truck now has 120,000 miles on it no problems. Friend was in school for small engine tech so guess it translates ahahah. And I get to design helicopters now 🤩

    Have you towed anything with the truck after the install? I'm considering a leveling kit for mine but am concerned about rear end squat when towing.

    • @ZEPLEON
      @ZEPLEON  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A bunch of stuff, lately a 33ft travel trailer at around 7,000 lbs. was using a weight distribution hitch and it stayed level believe it or not. It did squat pretty good when I about maxed it out towing a friends truck. If you are planning on towing one trailer I would recommend a weight distribution hitch for sure, makes. A world of difference

      No problems at all! Can’t remember my odometer reading since I installed it but I’ve at least done 8-10k only problem is the slight drop in mpg but who cares😂😈

    I just did this yesterday. I'm a bit nervous with the short bolt not having really much thread protruding threw the nut. But the other bolt will most likely hit the axle if used in that spot. I'll just keep an eye on it for now.

      @@ZEPLEON once you level the truck with magneride you need to recalibrate the suspension or you’ll just keep blowing out the shocks FYI for anyone leveling a Denali

    • @ZEPLEON
      @ZEPLEON  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah honestly I wouldn’t even recommend leveling just pay the extra money and scrap the magneride. Got some traditional 2.5 coilovers now and it’s far far better.

      @ZEPLEON  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No not really. Magneride deleted at 120k for some Eibach coilovers and handling has been way better. You can put regular suspension on a Denali too just need to cut the magneride wires. If you want the dic notice to go away you can buy adaptors on Amazon to simulate the oem suspension

    Can you measure the magna ride rod spacer that it came with, like how far it moved it..... I got a kit without the extender and need to make a couple

    • @ZEPLEON
      @ZEPLEON  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh shoot are you talking about the extension for the sensor?😬 did you not buy a non-magneride kit? I will see what I can do as far as measuring it, but honestly man you’d be better off calling up RC. Magneride will freak on you if it’s even a little off.

    Did the kit instructions say to put the lower strut bolts threads facing up?

    • @ZEPLEON
      @ZEPLEON  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We put them back on how the original bolts were in. At this point I can’t remember how it was, but it’s how we did it in the video. I’ve put on a couple thousand miles and it’s doing great. The only confusing thing was that there were several bolt lengths in the kit. I think any of them would be fine as long as the nuts are able to get a whole snug fit.
