Question? What's anyone's opinion about getting your TV Professionally Calibrated? I went into Best Buy & seen this TV & all their others They were all Vibrant & beautiful! I asked the sells lady if they were Calibrated? She said, yes. All of their Display models are professionally Calibrated. I mean a $400 TV looked like a $4k TV in there, I couldn't tell the difference
It's possible that they were calibrated but most TVs have a "demo" or "store" mode where the display is at maximum brightness and oversaturated vibrance and colors. It might look good at a glance in a store, but would probably be eye searing at home. Calibration is definitely worth it for a higher end TV but probably not worth it on a sub $500 TV because you're paying hundreds of dollars towards a cheap TV that probably isn't capable of a proper calibration's full potential. However you can look at rtings and other forums for recommend settings and get a ballpark calibration for free.
Expensive Samsung just died and so I'm looking for something cheap to tide me over for a while. Had a LG from 2013 and really liked it (until I killed it, long story), nice to see this one is solid for the price. I think I'm going to grab one. Thanks for the overview!
Our first LG TV lasted for 10 years until we got rid of it because it was a 32" 720p TV. The other one we had lasted 4 years until it got a discolored spot but I'm not sure how old it was before I bought it used. But either way they seem to last for several years.
The presence of an LG 4K TV will not be tolerated near my 1080p Samsung TV territory. If an LG 4K TV should dare to intrude upon the vicinity of my 1080p Samsung TV, 1080p Acer gaming monitor, or the Amazon Fire tablet with HD, it will face immediate expulsion and trigger a state of war.
I just got one of these. LG is confusing - They hype up how these are compatible with Alexa/Google with voice. Then you read closer: Requires the Magic Remote to use those functions, sold separately. Uh, ok, I'll get one. Over at LG's site, they further hype the TV as compatible with the upgraded remote. Yeah, ok, I'll order one, right? Not so fast! When you go to the product page for the remote, it emphatically says that it's not compatible with the UQ7070 ZUE. Excuse me? Is there a Remote to use instead? Nope. We're just SOL. The TV ad copy seems to lie. And the included remote sucks for the unexpected amount of use it gets, setting up. I like the picture quality for the price, but the rest is irritating.
I know zero about TVs and this would be my first smart TV. Watching other TH-cam videos it seems that I need it to be WiFi. Is this WiFi? Thank you so much for any assistance! Very best, Dina
My 2009 tv went out and I wanted a non smart tv,try to find that, but this looks good enough for me as I am a low tech person so I can plug my ROKU up and it should do fine for me.
Dagum, I should've bought the $316 - 65" of this model at my Walmart.. They had 2 65" left & they were clearing them out for new Construction. I just wasn't sure when this TV was released I may just get the 65" U7H Hisense. I don't game or anything, I just watch HDR through my Streaming Apps. I sit straight in front at about 13 feet away in a dark living room
@@BigRed0011LG is always gonna be better than Hisense, LG is a long running quality electronics company only thing better is Samsung and Sony even then depends on models. I’ve loved every LG I’ve had
I own one. I've posted my settings for it, I say we'll worth the 400 dollars I paid at Walmart for it, got great picture, for price, only tvs I'd consider over it fir around same price would be samsung crystal uhd series of tvs do far from what ive seen, Philips and Vizio are also good choices, but I'd go eith this tv myself over them I've had both a Philips and Vizio inpast
Just bought today and going to return tomorrow , quality is garbage and we tried adjusting it in every way and still looked bad. Netflix and Disney app especially looked blurry and old.
I bought this piece of junk too, streaming on it is a nightmare, no matter what I do when watching 4k movies it's fucking junk, blacks are so saturated and blurry it's a joke
Perfect timing. I was shopping for TVs at Walmart and settled on this model but have to go pick it up yet. It was the most expensive of the 50 inch models on display (some are as low as $238) but standing in the store comparing the pictures, this was much sharper and better contrast. I almost went for the Hisense which is $80 less because it had the next best picture quality but looking at the horrible reviews made me stay away. It has a 1 year warranty for a reason - the box usually dies after 18 months. BTW, what is the warranty period on this unit? Can't find that anywhere. Thanks.
I think electronics tend to be 14 to 30 days. I declined the extended warranty. I also decided on the LG. I had a TCL and, although it had a good picture, I don't really like RokuTV being the OS, and I'm not really a fan of Samsung's OS anymore either. I wasn't even going to consider Hisense, Onn, or any of the other brands. So far my only issue (same as the S95B) is the bass is way too boomy, even after EQ adjustment, so I had to buy a soundbar for the TV. I got he $80 Vizio 20" one.
@@Mr.Everything I declined the warranty too. I figure at these prices it's disposable if something goes wrong plus I might want to upgrade in a couple years anyway. I still have my Bose soundbar I got a couple years ago. I figured I was going to have to use it since the audio is where these companies try to save on costs. BTW, if it does die after the warranty is up I see that plenty of parts are available online. A new motherboard is like $50.
