- LG TV 65UQ70 4k
The TV right out of the box is slim and works well. It is 4K UHD and it does 4k upscaling to make everything look great. The TV only weighs 47 pounds so it is easy to carry around from one place to another. I like the edge of the TV also it almost disappears, the colors are vivid and plenty of bright and dark colors. I really like the picture modes, from soft to very bright, sports, film maker, expert bright and dark, vivid, standard and APS. Basically the TV can adjust the picture and sound by itself if I don’t want to play around with these options. I like how it connects easy wirelessly and you have the option to connect via Ethernet wired. The sound is also good, I will have my LG Soundbar hooked up to it but the TV does sound well by itself. The remote is a bit slow to react but it works well and I like the preset buttons on it.
We have been using it for about a week and it Is working well, Gaming, watching movies, shows, it looks great, and when we are not seating, the TV is playing pictures of the entire family.
Overall good value has everything that we need.

for a tv in this price range it seems to have alot more settings options when it comes to black levels and gamma settings than any other tv in its range. i have a samsumg tv i bought a year ago that almost has just as good picture quality but it has limited settings when it comes to gamma and black levels. I can adjust this LG tv to my liking regardless of how bad a games hdr may be implemented and get rid of all the washed out stuff.. this is the only tv in its price range that i am able to do this with. also it supports 120hz with the xbox series x minus VRR but i just leave my xbox at 60hz. i have not yet tested the 120hz option on ps5 when it comes to this Tv... VRR is out of the question but if a game is correctly optimized you will not need to worry about VRR anyways.
A 65" for less than $500? Great buy. Most are $268 or less for 65" & up (open box) now at my Walmart because they are remodeling & putting up 85" TV's. Definitely get it professionally calibrated because i seen this a $300 58" TCL & a $4000 Samsung & all looked the same to me! All were calibrated at Best Buy.

I think it comes down to preference on the operating system. If you get a chance to stop by you local store and checkout the operating system, it will help you decide which TV you're more comfortable with. Best to you.
I bought my dad the 70 inch uq model. And he loves it. I paid 599 at best buy so it's a great deal for 70 inch TV imo. Now imo the cable which is AT&T for us only has 1080p so some things seem a little choppy at times. Now when I watch 4k content on it then it's a phenomenal picture and motion. So imo it's a TV that almost has to have 4k content to get it at ots best settings. But my dad likes watching cable on it. It's not bad enough to where you can't watch cable on it. But it's not good at the motion on lower 1080p content imo. Either way its a great TV for 599 hand down.

@robmadrigal714 yea I got my dad the 70 inch for 599. And he loves it. We have at&t so we only get 1080p on cable. But you can use TH-cam or any other apps on the TV. And then see what ones are 4k and you see how phenomenal it is. But he's right 4k automatically will set itself. As long as your watching something that 4k. The content os what Changes the quality. So you don't have to change settings. Long as it's 4k then your TV plays it in 4k
Help. just got this tv a few days ago and cannot get the Alexa to connect. There is no Alexa button but after researching it says press O. That Alexa is a must so. Pleas3 reach out. I even called LG. To no avail. Thanks youtube world

We just bought this model and the picture isn’t crisp and clear almost like there’s a haze across the screen. We have a 2016 49” LG model 49UH6090 and it’s as clear and crisp as could be. Have you noticed a similar problem?

The software on this TV is faster and better, I like how the new one looks for the price, I have it as a secondary TV. For a much better picture perhaps a more expensive TV would do. Best to you.
I just got rid of a 2016 49 inch LG model and was thinking about getting the 2022 43in version it looks super good in Walmart but deff software is way better and faster I noticed a lag on the 49 inch 2016 model forsure
So I figured out the problem. I had to buy a 4K firestick to achieve the picture quality I was looking for. A regular firestick with the 2016 LG I had worked fine; not so much on the newer and bigger TV. A faster internet speed helped as well. Ultimately it’s a good TV for the price; you just have to make sure your streaming devices are 4K 2060p UHD compatible.

I bought this TV a week ago and I am returning it. The image is dimmer than I expected even in a dark room. The screen also has a warped look to it and the colors are washed out. Filmaker mode is not working right. To many auto enrgy saver settings. ugh.

I just purchased LG 65 inch but 800 series...it is same as yours? From Costco..it is good choice ? I never have that brand before.. ..I bought Samsung 58 inch and lasted only 2 1/2 Year., It is normal...I have 2 tv in 4 years...

It has true motion and it will support 120hz output for at least the xbox series x but i have not checked with the ps5 and pc. I know with the ps5 the ability to output 120hz on some televisions is nearly impossible even when a Television support it with xbox and pc. The ps5 does not have the same toggle features as the xbox series x does when it comes to 120hz so it wont just let you force 120hz from the console@@ReviewingEverything

It’s pretty good I just bought one
We just bought this TV (Jan 2023). Same remote control and the same box showing the Netflix and AppleTV logo. When you press the Netflix button on the remote you get this mssg on the screen: “Content is unavailable. This page is not available. A2.46.SA” So I went to the apps store to download it. It is not there. Strike 1. While I am at the app store I look for the AppleTV app. Not there. Strike 2. (Why do they show it on the box if you can’t download it?) So I try to check what’s available on the over 100 LG channels advertised on the box. I can’t find a single channel. Strike 3. I am returning it tomorrow.
Hello and thank you for sharing your experience, I also hope you subscribe to my channel, I think restarting your TV might fix the problem, turn off tv, unplug wait a minute then hold the power button on the TV for one minute, wait for 30 minutes then plug it back on and it might work. Make sure your region is correct, if its not in the correct region it will do what you said. finally it could be the internet but I think calling LG is best for them to walk you step by step to fix it. I am not sure if many people got this problem but I did not on this TV, I did have something similar with my other LG TV but once I restarted the TV then it worked. Idk much about specs but i have this tv along with a PS5 and I honestly love it more then a similar samsung that went out due to a hdmi glitch from the PS5 the graphics on the LG are amazing

Yes it's 60 htz nativebut it can "adapt" to 120 (I do not remember the term) for the night it's very bright, however, I Believe that the dinamic range for blacks is not the best (my first thought, since I purchased it yesterday night)

We recently picked up this tv after returning a Vizio v series 70".....told the wife she'd hate the picture, and we are far from penny pinching but for 450 bucks she got her way, took a day and she agreed with me...
Now have the 65" lg thinq you have here, excellent pic for the price, especially at the last second we were going to spend 1500 bucks but this tv is straight up ass kickin period.

It is 60Hz Native and it is great for watching movies, streaming, videos and more. The 120Hz its more for gamers since the refresh rate is more smooth while gaming, for everything else I think the 60Hz is mostly enough. Best to You.
I just read your comment and I figured you have had this TV for a while so are you able to help me I can't get the Alexa app to turn on or to work at all. I did research and it says press the o. But there is none. I don't need a fantastic picture due to my eyes but I do need Alexa Can you help? I hope you're happy with your TV if you cannot help

The app interface was atleast in my opinion very well done, even compared to the LG one we currently have now I believe it to be Superior. That said I cannot remember accurately to be of any help.

I think the biggest difference is the Operating system. Tizen from Sansumg vs webOs from LG and it is a matter of which one you like better. Either one is a good TV. Instead spending 1 minute n the sound that nobody will hear correctly anyway, could you focus on the picture quality, the difference between the UP models of 2021. One doesn't learn much by watching your video. First and foremost, it's the PQ that counts. Please say a word about the PQ.

I have the 65UP70 model which I bought at Walmart. The TV works but I myself hate the fact you cannot buy or use a Magic remote with it. The supplied remote IMHO is a joke and hard to use. My TV I believe has the upscaling to 120 motion rate. I paid $398.00 dollars + tax for it so I it's just a cheap 65" TV. Researching TVs in advance of purchase is super difficult as they all have their good and bad points I now find out after purchase. If I could lift the TV to box it back up I would so I could buy one with the magic remote.
