    The one cardinal sin I have committed with this video is the fact that my most popular video, with almost 3,000 views, includes the mispelling and mispronnounciation of the word "reclist" throughout the entire 6 and a half minutes of this thing.

    if you voicebank sounds slurred, select all notes, right click on a note, click Region Property, and set the consonant velocity to 200-300

    • @Rocaloid
      @Rocaloid  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The UTAU folder is what holds the software after downloading it. In it you'll find a "voice" and "plugin" folder, and in that voice folder should be defoko. (Defoko isn't important for anything, she's just the default voice that comes with utau and a way to know that you're in the right place.

      @@Rocaloid What role does the reclist play in a finished voicebank? There are so many different reclists for cv and I downloaded an utau vb to listen to the samples in it, and I notice there are samples in there that aren't in the reclist you recommended. For example, it has "ああいあうえあ.wav" which doesn't seem like typical cv stuff? How does utau know what to do with the samples I put in the voicebank, do I have to do some kind of programming when I make a voicebank to tell utau what to use for what, or...? I am so confused

    • @Rocaloid
      @Rocaloid  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@instant_mint it’s a lot more simple than you think. If your voicebank has extra sounds, chances are they just won’t be used by Utau. You can have all the extra sounds you want and they literally will not do anything unless you use them. A voicebank is literally just a file folder, it can work with anything you put in there.

  • @G.A.Z.F
    @G.A.Z.F ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Well, I'll ask a question, what happens if the audios of my jinriki I decided to do it with a low pitch? I mean, I changed the pitch in Audacity and then I cut and save them. Am I doing something wrong? because I already otoned them, they don't sound.

    • @Rocaloid
      @Rocaloid  ปีที่แล้ว

      They don’t sound low? Yeah, utau (especially the tips resampler) tends to do that. You can fix this with a feature called flags (that you’ll have to research because idk how to use them) but basically they tell utau to change the pitch of your voicebank.

    • @Rocaloid
      @Rocaloid  ปีที่แล้ว

      Try using the voicebank without the tips resampler and if it sounds fine, then maybe that’s the issue. I can’t recommend another resampler though, because my computer’s antivirus blocks literally any other resampler i’ve tried

      Like you try to find a japanese syllable for your voicebank ("wa" for example), you search through the Acapella of the singer or character you are making a voicebank.
      But you couldn't find anything compatible, any tips for that?

    • @Rocaloid
      @Rocaloid  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@endlessveemo well, you could find words that have the sound you want in them. For example you could find “wa” through an English singer saying “wall” or “water”
      But if you’ve exhausted all options, you can combine the “w” and “a” from other sounds in audacity using the cross fade option. I don’t recommend doing this unless it’s your last option, because usually it ends up sounding really choppy.

    • @Rocaloid
      @Rocaloid  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What are you trying to do?
      For a good sample, you have to make sure it's clear and you can understand what's being said. If you have to, you can use an AI website to remove background music. Vocalremover .org. But it's got a limited amount of uses everyday so use it sparingly.

    • @Reiko8467
      @Reiko8467 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Rocaloid I'm trying to find sample that sound clear, have a neutral tone and are the right pitch.
      I think I might've screwed up by getting a VERY long voiceline compilation of the character i'm making, which contains screaming and all that stuff. So I have to sort through it a lot to find what i need.
      It's the only voice sample without background sound I could find, that's why I used it.
      Maybe I'm better off looking for shorter clips and removing the background sound, as you said. (As a side note, the character's voice is in English, so i'm guessing it's just naturally harder to get the sharp sounds you'd normally look for an UTAU)

    • @Rocaloid
      @Rocaloid  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Reiko8467 finding the right sample is not as specific as you’re making it. Firstly, all of my voice banks have English voice providers, and you can make Japanese voice banks with them just fine once you know how to pull Japanese sounds from English words (for example: mu from move, ko from cold, etc.)
      Also, they don’t need to “be the right pitch.” It doesn’t matter what the starting pitch of the sample is, utau can make it sound the way it needs to.
      What I would do if I were you Is to cut out all of the screaming from the voice line, as that is unusable, then tackle whatever you have left by listening to the words spoken and seeing if you can find a sample from said words. It’s a lot easier than it sounds.
      Good luck on your journey!
