The city fathers were so agasst they banned him from performing at the Civic Center Music Hall again. Silly 😜. I was a security guard at a casino in 2009 when Three Dog Night appeared and he did this song again. Didn't miss a beat. Rest in peace Cory Wells

Thank you Cory Wells for sharing your talent all these years. You truly are one of the great ones. Rock and Roll Heaven is getting better every day.

Cory had style and held his youth quite well. In many ways, he was the personality of 3 Dog Night. Cory and Chuck had the voices with Danny being smart with business and contacts. I think there was an overall nice quality about Cory that made people relate to him. He was the common man who became a music superstar but he never forgot his roots. Though a shell of 3 Dog Night still performs there is no band without Chuck and Cory.

It was written in 1932. Bing Crosby recorded it. Otis recorded it in 67, 3 Dog in 68 shortly after Otis died. While Otis's is my favorite, this is a fantastic rendition...the 68 version was pretty fine too. Tough song to sing.
