  • Are you or your partner bad at apologies? Does your partner practically convulse when it comes to apologizing for their hurtful behavior? How good at apologies are you? How good are you at owning your own mistakes and communicating empathy, humility and a reconciliatory heart? Today I'll discuss the markers of a good apology as well as indications that your apology is not only wounding but self-absorbed and insensitive.

I always enjoy your videos Sam! Even in the place of despair what you do is shine light on the dark stuff so we can see it better, navigate it and hopefully come out the other side.

I had to laugh several times at myself while hearing this. I’m so proud and when shame hits I hate admitting my wrongs! Really needed this. LOL.

Thank you so very much! I am praying and hoping that I can convince my spouse to watch this!!! I had to learn this myself and it has taken me a bit to figure this out. No BUTS! If an explanation is warranted start with that first before the apology.

before his affair I’m sorry was never in his realm of thought from something small to really big it just didn’t happen.
In healing the last two years he gets it I see it I feel it and I didn’t realize how much it affected me not hearing it until now in reconciliation.
