Overnight camping always causes issues. Pee bottles, septic discharge, trash, and overstays are just some of the issues. Prostitution and drug abuse are also concerns. Horse droppings and human feces really aren’t comparable, one is much more repulsive. Truck driver specific, I have always been told large commercial trucks put stress on the parking lot apron. It makes sense to me, especially sitting for days. I completely emphasize the need for more parking. The truck and rest stops are full and electronic logs means you must stop.
Thank you for your response. (Side note) I generally do not understand if homeless individuals and truck drivers have many of the same issues then what are some the solutions? Tough question, but humanity is still relevant.
@@garybates2053 I don't know. It's a doubled edged issue as large commercial big box stores depend on truck drivers. But as private land owners they have the lawful right to dictate how their property is used and who gets to park there. I think there is realistic concern that repeated use by full trucks on a asphalt apron CAN put ruts and crack the structure reducing it's life span. The compromise may to allow trucks visiting the commercial facility a pass.
