  • I'm not 100% sure why the back wheel was loose. The knock-off was tight and I couldn't get it any tighter. Swap it front to back and everything is cool I have no explanation for why it did that. I only shortened up the studs because of the wheel marks on the back of the wheel I don't think that had anything to do with what they're doing. I don't know but I'm fucking rolling it.

    Are these knockoffs locking to the adapter with bolts?

    • @rustybrowneye
      @rustybrowneye  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They can yes. Way back when I first got these wheels I put a couple of bolts in them because that's all I had. And I know with two it just shears them right off from moving around. I've never tried again

    Are these 13's? did they clear the brake? looking to get some wires for my 98 towncar.

    • @rustybrowneye
      @rustybrowneye  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are 14s but I can clear 13s. I used the spindle in brake components from a 91 Town Car. They clear without any spacers

    • @Dollywood22
      @Dollywood22 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the reply dude. Do you think 15”s would clear without swapping spindles and brakes?

    • @rustybrowneye
      @rustybrowneye  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Dollywood22 I'm not sure. The 98 spindles I took off of my car I put on that 91 and then I sold the car. When I sold the car I had 15-inch aluminum wheels on it and the calipers did not clear. I ground a lot of metal off those calipers before the wheels fit. However a knockoff has quite a bit different offset then a regular wheel. But since they weren't even close to fitting the aluminum wheels I would have to lean towards no, but I'm not sure

  • @stevelozano9523
    @stevelozano9523 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The black chips look too plain.
    Maybe use a long soft bristle paint brush to get inside those spokes. Tooth brush just not long enough. Got a 3 pack at Wal-Mart that the bristles were extremely soft and gentle enough for the chrome.

    bro why do people even use those stupid hammers? if you got the money for some nice wheels why not invest in the knockoff or" dayton tool" saves you in long run cause you bend your knockoffs and dent em then the lead hammer eventually also needs replacing! the only thing you need to worry about the tool is having the rubber tubing on the parts that touch your knockoffs! get a tool do yourself a favor! real talk
