Iv seen a new tool that takes off the 2 prong or 3 prong but they are not the same tool but can be ordered separately depending on 2 or 3 prong knockoff that you have even seen a tool for the diamond knockoff too.
What up Terry, I’d love to put wire wheels on my 1989 Camaro IROCZ but I’m in Florida where this isn’t common. I’d love the wheel spacer look on my Camaro where the wire wheels poke out a bit but I have no clue what size adapter or wheel size I’d need or if I need any additional things to make it fit my vehicle. I do know I’d want 15x7 wire wheels for sure though.
Pretty sure the adapters would be 5x5 because it's Chevy, but the easiest thing to do is contact your local wheel dealer or check ebay... British Wire Wheels... the offset of the wheel will determine how much it sticks out...
On the rest of the videos a lot of people say they use spacers for it to fit and I see you're not using it it's not hitting your caliper or did you do some shaving
The adapters 70- 80 lbs is what is spec, but to be honest, never torqued adapters ever... and if you are talking about knockoff, just lead hammer tight...
@@CampfireTalesYT thanks for responding,I got some 13x7s triple gold,I haven't put them on yet,so if I don't grind the calipers how much will it stick out? An inch or a half inch or more? Is it safe to grind down the calipers?

@Jose-yk8et calipers.on this one are shaved, but you can swap.the spindles on the 95 square body Lincolns so you don't have to shave calipers
You run spacers to fit the wheel or shaved calipers
This car already had shaved calipers, eventually I will do a spindle swap
What year spindle swap you recommend on a 1998 town car

Sir, what is the torque specs to tighten the adapters? Thank you in advance.

Are those calipers on that Lincoln grinded down?
Yes they are... bought it that way...
Nice
How many inches does the adapter push the rim out?
It doesn't... reverse offset is what pushes the rim out
@@moneytrain88 Oh I see. I dont know thing about wire wheels, now I know one thing at least. Thx
Most Lincolns need spacers how yours didn't need a spacer to put wheel in the front
13s?
Yes Sir...
Can I ask you a question? I'm want to put some 14x 7s on a 98 DeVille caddy.is it possible?
standard offset yes, but not reverse, the wheels will poke out and look bad imo. You'll have to grind the front calipers too to make them clear.

@harielesquivel1257 itll rub ur rim. You'll need spacers, best years are 90-94 they don't need any modification
@@CampfireTalesYT I got spacers for the back to even out the front?
@@harielesquivel1257 definitely the front
Do u need adapters for 16s?
If it's a tru knock off, you need an adapter... when you buy a new set, usually they come with the adapters and lead 🔨
@@moneytrain88 I just looked behind my wheels the adapters was there whole time gudluk
Where do I order from..
Send me the link..
How much??
British Wire Wheel on ebay... they are out of Cali
What size tire you have

155 80 13
What year is your Towncar?
99
you need to explain more clearly left hand thread left side of car ie passenger side right hand side driver side etc
Knockoffs are threaded specifically per side, the concept is that the knockoff will not only maintain tightness, but get tighter while driving...
