    Went and picked up some tires to mount on my set of Work Rezax 2's . Ended up going with
    225/35/18 Achilles ATR Sport 2 for the 18x9.5 front wheels. And then went with 255/35/18 Lexani tires for the 18x12 rear wheels. The aim with using an off brand in the back was so that I would have a setup with minimum grip since a 255 is pretty much already guaranteed to snap stock 240sx axles and break RB20 transmissions.

      He’s building a drift car. Running stretched tires has its function in that there is no sidewall flex that amounts to more consistent flick and smoother weight shifting and drifting. Drifting on high sidewall or normally fitted tires causes a lot of tire roll sponginess and uneven tire wear.

    • @OxBlitzkriegxO
      @OxBlitzkriegxO 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@d1zguy864 this is what people say when they have 250hp shitboxes. your suspension is far more impactful on the things you mentioned. as long as the tires are inflated even somewhat correctly, a properly sized tire will be just fine. if someone was that concerned about sidewall flex, you would run a lower profile tire to begin with, not do dumb ass ricer stretch trash.

    I need to run wider tires for soft sand... is it safe to run 245/50 (9.5 wide) on a 6.5 " wide steel rim? I did for over 5 years previously and want to do it again on a van. The recommendation is 7" wide steel min.

      Irving Aguilera totally agree but stretched tires do have their Beni fits and downfalls and on certain builds it does look clean... but you have to know what your doing... the stretch on the rear is way too much for the style and well it’s just ugly in general

    Great job removing all of the structural integrity that was designed into the tire, making your vehicle extremely dangerous for you and "everyone else" on the road by exposing the thin sidewalls to premature failure, I mean F them as long as your ride looks sick right?

    Tire Dimensions in this format:
    225/60/16 or what ever your tire size may be.
    The first number would be 225 millimeters across the tread width, the second number represents the height of the sidewall measured in percent, tread height is 60% of the tread width(225mm) - the sidewall height is 135mm, and of course the final of three number is rim diameter in inches. Just saying...

      I’ve been running a shop/full service gas station for a little over 7 years, it such a frequent question, it’s nice to just have it written, I wish I could write it down in my shop to avoid explanation, but as far as customer service goes, the giant STOP (employees only) sign to my shop entrance isn’t enough to deter them as blatant as it’s posted. I try to teach as many customers as I can that are interested in vehicles some of the basics of auto/small engines to the mud truck and rock crawler aspects of owning a machine in northern Minnesota(rust land). It amazes me the frequency of people that are clueless to even fill a tire, let alone getting the tire specs that are usually in the door panel. The rate of things to learn in automotive is traveling at such a fast pace, it’s hard to keep up and learn everything. I just wish drivers training would spend an extra five minutes to explain checking your oil and tire pressure, than again... job security.🤷🏽‍♂️
