For real. I'm a 9 month white belt and all the guys I roll with are more experiences and usually younger and stronger. If I try to get their arm in that Americana position, they aren't just going to let me do it.
@@mayatiita1 Also a great entry into the armbar as well.....Good for heavyweights like me, definitely gonna use this, Craig Jones is a fucking beast man.....
Entry is a catch wrestling technique called “the stockades” there’s a few more tutorials on TH-cam about it that are easier than demonstrated here and also work from side control
That shoulder trap is really nice, I remember seeing it years ago on some old catch wrestling DVDs... leads to some nasty cranks, locks, and chokes. Cool to see it coming through to Jits
This common position in Catch wrestling called a Stockade or Further Nelson, depending on whether you use it for control and improving position or as a Neck lock.
Yeah but catch is using this full nelson as a finish and bjj is 5 steps ahead using smoothly to transition to trangles and chokes which are much higher percentage finish. Almost every single catch video focus on pain and making people uncomfortable, bjj focuses on dominant control, smooth efficient transitions and high percentage finishes, yet high level guys dont tap to pain, you have to break their shit or put them to sleep. Watch guys like erik paulson and compare to craig or the ruatolo bros, smooth efficient bjj vs clunky over complicated catch, every catch video looks like a white or bluebelt teaching a cool move they made up.
As an ultra-heavyweight, can confirm this works on all body sizes. Did this to a middleweight and another ultra-heavy. It is my go-to setup from mount now if my arm-triangles cant get setup.
@bernando faira bjj finatics instead of the 2 fists can you put the one fist on the ground and grab the wrist with your other hand to get into that position?
I bought the Triangle Machine from Craig Jones. Anyway, there's one video (37 min) included. At the beginning of the video Craig says something like "In the first DVD we looked at setups, now we look at how to finish them". Where is the first DVD? There's only one.
Same thing I was thinking. I do lots of mounted triangles and the hard part is vs people bigger or stronger than me getting that arm down and then getting their head off the mat if they are good. Will play with it more though. Found a high mount can get their arm straight which makes it a little more vulnerable.
I'd like to see how he deals with that near arm. Bernardo was giving him all the space under that elbow but when you go live that near elbow would be tight and in the fight.
wow looks so slick, though i gotta say when you lean down in the end the free arm of opponent is right beside the crossed legs which they can easily push and mess up the posture it seems. Gonna try regardless and see for myself
Not taking anything away from Craig but check out BMac’s triangle from the Sugar Hold. Old school Catch Wrestling move that leads to a rear triangle. Basic same setup but from side control. Good details as well.
Holy shit, this is dope. Adding this to my repertoire of submissions I can’t do.
lol xD

Hahaha! 🤣
XD I'm part of the club. You tube black belt. Real world blue belt.
“Man that’s amazing,” Bernardo says with bloodshot eyes from getting choked for a minute straight.
That's the best entry from mount to triangle I've ever seen.
Yeah I agree.

Don’t know about you guys but I find Craig totally hilarious. “Buy my dvd” shirt and leopard shorts. 😂
He has the best attitude and is a humble dude. I like his Craig Jones Fucks America channel on TH-cam
The only fans shirt cracks me up
Like he ain't straight
Buy my dvd rash guard 😂😂😂😂
Check out the back of the rash guard.
Used this successfully about 6 times the same day I watched this. It’s my go-to mount attack now. 🙌🏽
Nobody gives a fuck, Salvador.
@@codekama7396 the fuck???
@@lolus8974 It does work well though.
That knee to the inside thigh at 0:52 was vicious.
When a Bernado and Craig video pops up, you bet I'm clicking 😎💪
Thats the beauty of jiujitsu, a high level instructor sharing a high level technique with the rest of the world. Thanks Craig jones!
Craig Jones : Buy my DVD
Me : OK
4:25 Craig having hard time not saying "I just stole it from Catch wrestling, and rebranded it."
He resisted the urge.

Huge honor for me... to watch this great instructional. Thank you! #OSS

Yep. I’m a catch coach….saw this right away. Love it!

What are you talking about? LoL. This whole sequence, including the finishes are just directly copied from Catch. Nothing new in this video.
@@timothycarey3883 dont the ruatolo bros train with paulson
Caught 3 people with this already. Thank you!!
Saw this months ago and finally hit the setup and the tap today in rolling, works so well thank you!
this is the greatest thing ive ever seen in bjj
You explain technique very well!
Love Craig johns, thanks guys
the two coolest dudes in the community. OSS
Just pure art
A huge honor 0:02
Huge triangle for me!!!
Esse é o cara também neeeeeeee o cara ...
Great! Nice to hear Mr Jones also uses original Japanese nomenclature.
Thank you sir. That's bad ass.
I can’t wait to try this! 🤙🏼
Great set up and you can use it for more than just the triangle and other submissions, mma for striking too.

Awesome video deffo gonna get his DVD

Love this! Thank you.
Awesome man, this is slick..
I love you Craig !!! Am going to use this one
Good Job man!
"very tight, Craig!" "one more time, Craig!" (Bernardo rules)

Thanks guys, but how do you move the elbow to the position from the centre line?
Just tapped a purple belt for the first time with this. Thanks craig jones.
Does Craig Jones ever mention where to get one of those rash guards? I want.
3:15
Thank you 🙏
Slick technique! Main issue I see is getting that first arm that extended with just one hand. Especially if they are already sweaty.

Been doing this for about a year its a catch position its hard to get the stockade from Mount though in my opinion
Looks like a neil malanson type thing. Catch vibes
Yeah that’s a great technique 👍🏻
When I noticed Craig's t-shirt I burst out laughing
Thanks 🤙🤙🤙
Beast!
2:47 really bad sound
Love the shirt" buy my dvd "
As a tall, slim, triangle-spamming white belt, I see this as an absolute win.
Sick!
I'd like to see how he deals with that near arm. Bernardo was giving him all the space under that elbow but when you go live that near elbow would be tight and in the fight.
can someone please tell me if this is legal in white belt competition or is it a crank?
Stockade from mount to triangle.
Is he finishing with his calf muscle strangling the other side of Bernado neck? I’m used to the hamstring being tight on the neck.
wow looks so slick, though i gotta say when you lean down in the end the free arm of opponent is right beside the crossed legs which they can easily push and mess up the posture it seems. Gonna try regardless and see for myself
I've seen bas rutten used this as neck cranck
how do u get his arm over his head, you cant just pull it? 1:20
i have a strange urge to go by Craigs DVD.... cant figure out why...
Niiice!
shi-it, gotta try this next time in the gym!
With Craig you have to wonder if something like, "sometimes you need two fists" is not extra 😂
Is this legal in Kids tournaments?

you guys need to check mic levels, couldn't hear craig that well
Gotta respect craig hustlin
1:45 gorilla movement to the triangle
The heart part seems to be at the start getting his hand above his head
Exactly what I was thinking, if I could do that so easily I'd throw my legs off over his other arm and go for the Americana.
Where can buy this pants and rashguard!???

Great technique thanks man. Craig your accent is so confused now haha
What’s that move at 5:53? Is that a choke? Is he going after some type of Americana?
I think it’s just a figure 4 hold on the arm to maintain back control

Wait... did he say that’s ilegal in jiu jitsu?
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Is this IBJJF legal?
So is that really illegal under ibjjf rules? And would cupping the hand instead of using a fist really make it different?

Before the TRT
Is this move ilegal at white belt?
no
@@loopeygoopey ofcourse he just said its illegal in ibjjf
Same entry as catch wrestling.
Only you drag that arm behind the head with the crossface grip/fist you put in armpit.
The video isn't up yet to be bought. I'm gonna have to invest in a grappling dummy
Commenting for TH-cam Algorithm2
Why not just do an Americana?
Bigger grapplers can definitely take 2 fists 😂
