Taking the bait here. BJJ is viable in a fight because of physics. When on the ground a person cannot punch or kick you with all of their strength. It takes the violence out of the fight. Hence the gentle art. From there isolate a weak point and apply pressure. Pulling guard right away, ya you will get hit and kick in let’s and arms but you can also tangle up a lazy foot and then the attacker will wish there was a referee to call the fight
18:48 No doubt he is 100% correct. But most people can't think that quickly when under pressure. Watching Mikey's mind calculating while going through holds, in the midst of battle, is awe-inspiring. What an inspiring young man!
He is a machine. An athlete at a level only the world's elete work in. With a person that good he can't teach what he knows because his mouth can't speak what his brain is covering. When he is in there rolling around he is processing so many things all at the same time he couldn't possibly be able to relay that to a person verbally. That level comes from being in that behavior over and over again and analyzing every move as it happens so many times he is doing so easy it's like walking to pee on the middle of the night. It's automatic for him and he does it without any effort at all. He is maybe the world's best. I would like to see him work with Bo or Gordon

The graceful and gentle way he lets go is as smooth as the way he slips his hands and legs around people. It's amazing.
bouta say ayo then i realise bjj is already sus so may as well let it slide ahah
@@by_men_for_you 😂
I wont lie the first BJJ/Grappling/Submission video you guys uploaded had me like wtf ? HOWEVER now im fully tuned in to each and every video dropped! Not just Boxing & Kick Boxing for me anymore.
I'm not into grappling it's kinda boring to watch but this man changed me.. very humble and excellent fighter
2:58 he just jumped on the guy's calves from behind to take him down, I've never seen anything like that in my life!
You should Google "Imanari Roll"
this is absolutely not practical in real fight.
Example with the big guy.. in a real fight that big guy would bounded his head into nothing .-.--- lol dropping down in front of your opponent what kind of stupid fighting style is that :D
This nonsense will end up like Wing Chun
Taking the bait here. BJJ is viable in a fight because of physics. When on the ground a person cannot punch or kick you with all of their strength. It takes the violence out of the fight. Hence the gentle art. From there isolate a weak point and apply pressure.
Pulling guard right away, ya you will get hit and kick in let’s and arms but you can also tangle up a lazy foot and then the attacker will wish there was a referee to call the fight

@slickmick6635 and a leg lock is way easy when ur opponent have shoes on😂
18:48 No doubt he is 100% correct. But most people can't think that quickly when under pressure. Watching Mikey's mind calculating while going through holds, in the midst of battle, is awe-inspiring. What an inspiring young man!
Let's appreciate the fact that he's very cautious not to hurt his opponents
Real Fighter!
BRO WTF “the limb collector” is such a metal fucking name that shit needs to go in the hall of fame
He is good at his game.. for sure. What he said about thinking is correct too.. As long as he stays where he is, he will be fine - Don't do MMA Mikey.
Used to train with him at shark JIU JITSU in wellington fl, absolutely genuine and humble guy. Not surprised to see how far he’s come
This kid is a WONDERFUL contrast to the BJJ machismo of the 1990s!
I really like how alert he is not to injure his opponents. And of course his fighting skills are breathtaking.
This guy is like a human tarantula.
Doesn't get better than Mikey - Technique MASTER!
Love his compassion for the sport and for his opponents. What a genuine young man!
How can you not like this young man? He has a face that says he’d never knowingly do anything wrong, ever.
How can you not like Mikey. I call him the Rubric’s Cub of grappling.
Wtf?! Evanglion op music at the end 😂😂😂
No matter how old you are, we can always learn to be humble & have humility in the way that we act. Mikey sure has my utmost respect as he demonstrates this beyond all means -- what a champ!
Well done on this. I didn’t know anything about him but enjoyed watching him! Appreciate the great content.
Pullin' some god damned crocodile shit. I love this kid. As a dude who is 5'7 and not terribly big in general, Mikey is a massive inspiration. I am definitely getting into this sport now.
@dellwright1407 I second that, but would also caution to the OP to keep in mind that M.M. has been doing this stuff since age 4 and with a real passion/obsession. That's a big part of why he is so, so good.
Great content as always and dude narrating the show is funny AF🤣🤣, Watching from South Africa with love💯
30 seconds in and already smashing the like button for the beautiful use of Hero's Come Back!!! 💯
Ending the vid with Cruel Angel Thesis?? You just earned my sub @votesport
Great Dialogue as usual, great to see some nerds competing and excelling in a rugged combat sport.
Apart from the odd exploded joint or broken leg I think Grappling is a much better sport then MMA in as far as technical competence, and long term damage, as in MMA, Kick boxing etc the Brain is horrendously battered, we are going to see the consequences over the next 2-3 decades just as has been seen in Pro-American football.
BINGO !!! As Jerry Quarry could not even put on his own underwear before he died. Ali had Parkinson's for cause, not happenstance.
Geeky kid with the glasses dont be overlooked ! Go Italian boy🇮🇹
Quite the wrestler, just a machine on the mat. 100% Sportsman
That was jiujitsu
@@adoboFosho You must not train if you think wresting and Jiu Jitsu are two entirely different things.
@@Dawood4 They are both forms of grappling and you can use wrestling in Jui jitsu but Mikey doesnt really wrestle so much as use pure Jitsu. Like there wasnt a single takedown by Mikey in this video.
A guy of love and peace. Not looking to hurt. Just compete. Love this guy!
We’re not gonna act like Masamuchi doesnt have a few loose screws😂😂
How can you not like this kid? I’ll be watching for him going forward.
Mikey is an amazing human being! when others boast about their powers, Mike plays it down to being a young nerd! what he doesn' t tell you is the crazy amount of physical strenght, endurance and flexibility he possesses, and the amount of training he engages in! Kudos!
Sneako is talking S on this kid? Sneako would get chocked out in one round
Absolutely, just a damn stud. Keep on doin you Mikey!
ACTUALLY FIGHTS LIKE A CHILL GUY NOT A DEMON,L THATS HOW YOU GET GOOD AT THE ART
Mikey might look like the ultimate nerd, but that dude is the ultimate technician and a straight up SAVAGE!! His training routine is insane, and the fact he only eats pizza and pasta is hilarious too bc somehow he is still totally shredded!!!
Bro im just waiting for the moment where someone underestimates this guy on the streets after some drinking, and then just gets his ass kicked by a nerd-looking guy. I need security footage or something of that xD
14:18 that opponent willingly let his his muscles rip and ankle break.
Not a normal sane guy, a freak of nature.
Mikey is an absolute savant on the mat.
Legendary fighter, but most importantly, a great human being. His parents are sure very proud of their good job. I will always cheer for this kid.
Can't help but love this kid....Class act and an absolute beast.
What a fantastic documentary. Lil old lady here and loving every moment!

I've been watching him for some time on One and I'm impressed by his humbleness and gratitude to the arts. He's very respectful, honors his opponent before and after fights.
The Mongolian dude may be tough, but it's stupid to potentially ruin your career over not tapping.
This kid is AWESOME!! Humble, efficient and kind….. oh and CRAZY, MAD SKILLS with a sweet face as well!!! ❤❤❤

@@tanelviil9149 Grapplers dont fight in Boxing Tournaments. Just like high divers arent trying to beat Michael Phelps in the freestroke.... Socalled "Real Fights" arent anything like ANY ringed professional fight whether boxing, jujitsu or anything..
