Emperor Cyber right. I'm freaking the hell out. I have been studying occasionally since January but am scared because AP Bio is only a semester at my school and not a full year course so we only cover half the material ...
You are more responsible for me passing exams than my teachers, textbooks, audiopodcasts or past-paper-questions. Thanks so much for making these videos. So, so, so helpful.
Why don't we all agree that khanacademy, bozeman, patrickjmt, ProfRobBob(If you've never heard of him, he's a great math teacher. I learned a lot of trigonometry from him) are all great youtube teachers :) without them, we'd be suffering in our classes :D
I always appreciate it when individuals such as yourself, take the time to create great educational videos. As you have already been told probably numerous times, thank you for using both biological language and everyday life together, this certainly makes more sense and helps the information stick.
You help so much with these videos. I just wanted to say a big thank you for making these. My science teacher actually assigns us homework where we watch your videos and answer questions about it.
When you're trying to understand satellite and cellular communication, and you get so excited because you thought Mr. Anderson was going to be able to teach you... honestly, I'm crushed.
you are really smart and thanks for this video because I was have a little problem with cell communication thanks keep it up i need better understanding of things like this
This video was good for very broad range of knowledge, but my upper division physiology class requires much more of me than this. Example: The action potential (instead of just "message" travels down the presynaptic neuron, opening voltage gated sodium channels which depolarises the cell. The depolarization opens voltage gated calcium channels, allowing an influx of calcium. This then acts on the vesicles and creates exocytosis of acetylcholine. The ACh diffuses across the synaptic cleft, binding to a nicotinic ACh receptor on the postsynaptic muscle cell (motor end plate). This allows Na+ in and K+ out. The Na+ depolarizes the postsynaptic basilar membrane and reaches the voltage gated Na+ channels, causing an AP. If you could start including the actual terms of things that would be great!
Elaine Morgan Elaine Morgan I wasn't aware this was a biology video. I searched "Physiology cell communication" and this was one of the top videos. But yeah I agree that biology doesn't go as in depth about it.
He's an amazing teacher, but khan academy is also pretty amazing, I personally prefer khan academy because it goes into more detail. Pretty tough to choose between the two though
Great video! Thank you! It helps a lot! However, I was wondering how to classify each in terms of signaling. I'm guessing sticky note is juxtacrine, email is paracrine & Fb is endocrine signaling... But what's autocrine signaling then? :o
When he doesn’t put ads 😫
He’s not here for the money.
He’s here for the science.
I got two ads tho
PKRUBEET yeah I’m getting them too now
I taught myself the whole unit through Bozeman videos the night before the test, and I got a 91. God bless you, kind man
So great that my teacher dumps 80 minutes of these videos on us instead of teaching. Great videos though.
Same here...

Tanya this is for biology tho, not anatomy. They dont go over action potentials in biology courses.

Elaine Morgan I have AP biology and we went over what he said...
Riddizle it’s not about what he said its about what the comment above said he didnt mention that he should’ve

Great video! Thank you! It helps a lot! However, I was wondering how to classify each in terms of signaling. I'm guessing sticky note is juxtacrine, email is paracrine & Fb is endocrine signaling... But what's autocrine signaling then? :o
I think autocrine signaling would be like setting a reminder on your phone
Instead of teaching us this information, my ap bio teacher assigns us these to watch
