im a medical student and whenever i need to understand concepts, i just watch your videos because it just makes so much sense from the analogies and their functions. Especially the illustrations make it more memorable. UR A LIFE SAVER
So, I'm a nursing student and my teacher actually showed us this video today while going over our immune system chapter and I am so GRATEFUL that she did! I remember better by seeing pictures I can put with what I'm learning and this is absolutely amazing for the way my brain works! I am so thankful she showed me this as I plan to follow and watch all the videos that pertain to what we are learning. I am so thankful for you guys!
Are you kidding? You have such perfect timing! After break, we are going over this, and you're already ahead of time. Kudos to you! Thanks for everything you do. You help a lot of us out ;D
I needed a review of the immune system to begin to tackle my graduate level Pathophysiology class as I'm in Nurse Practitioner school. This was BEYOND helpful! Thank you so much!
Thank you for the love of God. I don't pay very good attention to health because of how he teaches, it's really slow and I can't focus that long on one subject for literally the whole class without moving on and learning something else about the same thing. Luckily for me, there are people like you that exist and can explain 2 weeks' worth of material in 9 minutes with the same in-depth knowledge that has been taught to us.
As someone who felt a little unsure about this topic, this was truly a lifesaver! After taking notes on this video, I understand a lot more about the lines of defense, white blood cells and how pathogens are stopped. Thanks a ton!
OH. MY....STEM CELL. I saw the notification saying that this video is about the immune system, while I was working on the script for my own video!! I am soooo grateful that this video has been posted at this time, now I'll be able to research better!! Thank Amoeba Sisters, your science channel is the best and funniest out there I watch these instead of Netflix...... .....Maybe that is why I am a nerd who lives under a rock... Oh, who cares, I like it that way! Thanks again for the amazing content!!
I've covered this topic in high school, in first year uni, second year uni and so on... yet I always get mixed up one way or another. For the first time in my life, it just clicked! Thank you so much Amoeba Sisters! This was perfecto!
I'm a pre-med student preparing for medical entrance exam. this channel is my go to whenever i can't understand a topic. thank you, very well explained and the animations are a cherry on top.
I’ve watched this video several times and each time I find the illustrations even funnier. I showed it to my nephew and he couldn’t stop laughing. Thank you for making learning so fun and easy. I owe the succession of my 2nd year of studies to you. 💕😂
Also, guys, Cells at Work visualizes all the cell types and responses SO WELL in a way that's so easy to remember. Like, if this is good bc of its visualization, I def recommend cells at work bc it goes into a lot of depth/detail with visualization, in a VERY memorable way (it's an anime, but it's obviously different from most anime). No joke, literally saved my anatomy test score :)
does anyone else watch these and actually chuckle at the animations while simultaneously being entertained? thank you amoeba sisters, for somehow making cell membranes funny.
The first thing that came to my mind after watching this video was the manga/anime "Hataraku Saibou" (Cells at Work). Thanks for bringing back that memory, amoeba sisters!
For a person with autoimmune diseases, this video made me come to terms with my immune system, no mater how haywire it is now, it’s just trying to protect me. Now I’ll just imagine my immune “army” as these little guys portrayed in your animation. ❤
I am a first year nursing student and this video was so cute and helpful. Really simplifies things and helps to remember them. Thank you so much Amoeba sisters!
That. Was. So. COOL. I loved that you explained it in a way that didn’t involve words that nobody understands and then you’re loosing interest and you like forget it🤦🏽♂️. Amazing👏🏻
I love your videos. Halfway through nursing school, and they no longer get into detail enough, but they still make a nice review before the in-depth topics.
Such a fun and informative video! I am watching this before my biology exam, and am happy that the working of our immune system is explained so simply here.
When I was at my senior year in high school I enjoyed watching your videos for fun! And now I'm 3rd year in my pre-med course and your videos get me through the whole year🥹🩷
So...I have my exam tomorrow and this a cute little video that has summed up everything in 8:55 😁 Thanks. I've never loved amoebas so much!!! (I wish my teacher was an amoeba😛)

For fun, I wanted to see whether reading a textbook from my teacher gives less or more information about a topic, like the immune system! Looks like a helpful video like yours gives way more information and understanding than a scrummy old textbook! Thank you for producing amazing videos like this one!

The illustrations help me so much especially in making sense of the information. It also helps me retain the information. Thank you so much for the video!
Ahhhh! I love this video! I already use so many of your videos while teaching and I have been waiting for one on the immune system. I teach microbiology, so of course we go into all of the details, but this is an excellent overview video on the big picture and the connections between innate and adaptive immunity. And IgE wizard antibody cracks me up.
This is amazing! We’ve just finished a chapter on the immune system in class I great detail, and this sums all the main ideas really really well! It’s super useful to link all the different response and get a global understanding of how the immune system works 👏👏👏i love your videos!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
