@@ashearer88 yes! I ride it twice a week on average. Makes a small noise sometimes, but nothing that’s bothersome for me. I’d def recommend.

Your timing couldn't be better, we ordered the bike based on your recommendations and the Amazon reviews and just got it up and assembled yesterday. I was worried mostly about the strength of the unit as I am obese and I have to say I was very impressed by the strength of the bike. Nice and VERY solid no wobbling everything was nice and firm, which as an overweight person trying to get fitter, rarely is lower cost exercise equipment designed to actually take any sort of weight and be so strong so I was delighted by that.
I've been thinking about getting this bike since the first video but I'm obese too and that's a lot of money to spend on something that might not hold up long because of my weight. I'm very glad to see this, makes me a bit more confident in making a decision.
You're making me want one now for my home gym. I like how the bikes do not take up a ton of space compared to treadmills. So glad I found your channel. I need the frugal and fitness tips and influence so much in my life right now.
Watching your and your hubby's review was the reason I purchased this bike. I love it. The whole family rides now.
Thank you for the update! Your original video on the Joroto is why I bought mine and I absolutely love it. Mine recently started making a similar noise so I’m so glad you addressed that because I was a bit worried. Other than that this bike is amazing! I also use the Peloton app. It’s been such a source of joy for me!

Hi Christine, bought the Joroto and the mat. Super purchase. My three daughters and I use it almost every day! It amazes me when I walk into the livingroom and see one of my kids on it or just see them switch gears from reading to throwing on socks and shoes and jumping on the bike. Who knew? Yay! (And yes, the computer is bad, but as we are novices, we just listen to music in earbuds or watch a video. No cleats, no pedal upgrades...just a super quiet bike for third floor apartment dwellers...thank goodness!!!) AND Thank you for the video review that finally encouraged us to get/use a bike!
Just decided to get a bike so I could do the peloton workouts with my sister and we can motivate one another, and "spend time together" in a sense. We live many states apart! Definitely will be checking into this and keeping an eye on things. Thank you!
I just can't thank you enough for your video about this bike. We probably would have wound up buying a peleton and wasting a ton of money because we just wouldn't have known what else to do. There are so many different bikes on Amazon and it's hard to know what's junk and what's going to be a worthwhile purchase. We truly were overwhelmed. We LOVE the bike. Thank you!!!!!

Because of your original video, I bought the Joroto X2 last month. I was able to get it at a fantastic price on Amazon...during their Prime days...for $339!!!!! Wow! And I do love this bike so much. I'm 76 years old and live up here in the UP of Michigan...where the winters are cold and snowy! I did just buy the Wahoo cadence thingy and will be putting it on tonight. And I have a resistance thingy (some guy on Etsy makes them...and for specific spin bikes...so mine is for this Joroto!) that is coming next week. I agree completely about using the Peloton app. I do lots of other workouts besides just the spin bike. My daughter and her husband have the Peloton and love, love it. (Of course they do)...but she's happy that I have this one. She tells me about all of the different instructors that she likes, too. Thank you so much for leading me in this direction. Oh...I subscribed quite awhile ago because of your declutter videos with the Mega Motiivation/Minimal Mom collaboration. Love all of your videos.

If you are looking to make a gym and need more mats, see if you have a farm supply place like Tractor Supply near you. If you do, price out stall mats because likely they will be cheaper. My physical therapist did that and was shocked at how much cheaper they are!

Thank you for doing the update. I also have the same issue with the noisy belt and I'm going to try your solution. I think it will work because I see the same debris built up in the grooves.
Get a small wire brush and hold it onto the grooved side of the belt while someone else spins the pedals. A similar technique is used to clean serpentine belts on cars while they are running, when the belt makes noise. Whole belt gets cleaned and you don't have to spend a bunch of time trying to find the issue and then digging it out.

Tip:
- Use a medium bristle brush - a stiff toothbrush to clean those belt grooves.
- Consider upgrading to a high quality Gates or Goodyear Automotive Serpentine Belt just match # of Grooves, length & width of it.
If theres a part # on the existing belt try "DuckGo-ing" it for matching Gates / Goodyear #.
Those USA made belts are WAY gonna outperform the Chinese oe one...

I had the same sound coming from my bike and one of the options given to me by Joroto was to send me a whole new bike from the Amazon Warehouse. However, there were a few hoops to jump through prior to it.

You mention that you can add a sensor for cadence. Have you tried to add the other sensor for speed/ distance so you can record on your garmin or strava?

Bought that bike based on your recommendation. Love it! I do wish I could get closer to the handlebars though. Always thought I had a long torso and long arms but I guess not 🤷♀️
If you have the money 110% just get the Peloton. With all the needed upgrades for an Amazon bike plus shoes, weights and a decent seat.... the baseline $1,800 bike is absolutely worth it for a seamless experience.

I've never done a spin class in my life and after watching a lot of videos we went for it and bought the Joroto. Added the wahoo sensor and got a resistance gauge off Etsy that mimicks the Peloton resistance numbers because I had no idea what the different resistances felt like. Have the Peloton app and am really enjoying it.
What kind of gauge did you purchase?
Would you ever do a TH-cam spin video/tutorial cos I would totally watch that

I'm curious how your replicating the resistance when the instructor is saying "add 2-5 clicks". Is a full turn on the Joroto equal to 1 click? I'm about 5 rides in on the bike and doing the classes and I feel like I'm close to getting the resistance right but want to hear from someone who's been on the bike much longer. Thanks!

Mine seems a little creeky and of course I paid more for it while they price gouged after January. I waited a couple months and it didn't go back down to $400 so I finally decided to just go for it.
The bike was easy to assemble and feels solid. I just cannot get this creaking noise to stop. I have adjusted the screws a few times but it still is there.
This is very informative Christine...My only problem is I've never cycled in my life, but I really want to give it a try. My husband and I jog a bit. Nothing like you and Dave, but we try! We don't care for treadmills, or ellipticals really. We are trying to find a good indoor workout for cardio, and this might be a good fit! Can you do a "Cycling For Dummies" video? Lol...But seriously...
Consider trying a spin class. Low cost way to try it out and make sure you like it before investing in your own equipment.
Hi Christine! Do you have a less expensive elliptical recommendation? I need one with a long stride, like a 20 inch. cuz I’m a little taller. And those longer strides seem pricey. Thanks for all your frugal tips and just being awesome!

I got this bike I ended up having to take the cover off completely because the belt was rubbing against the cover. Eventually I know I will have to get rid of it because dust will get in the belt. It’s not at quiet as it was in the beginning.
I wish you could also do a comparison with the bike they have at Costco. :)

I have a question, I am not sure I have it set up right for my height, etc. I am 5'7 and you seem to be near that. After watching this, I decided to take the plunge on the peloton. I’m usually such a frugal girl but it really shows you get what you pay for. The belts seems to fail on here over and over so it’s kind of investing in long term if you plan on sticking with cycling… 🤔 vs fixing or replacing every year. Yours needed fixing after just a 5 months difference and the reviews on amazing reflect this as well. Wish I loved this but either way I love your channel!!!!
