    I would love to hear about signs your liver needs some extra care. Thank you!!

      It is very individual thing, and can vary! Some signs we've noticed in some of us were dark circles under the eyes, not feeling great in various ways, and mood issues. There can definitely be others as well, such as digestive symptoms, skin issues, etc. We consulted with Dr. Becky Plotner about the symptoms, and liver support was her recommendation. Dr. Natasha talks about liver symptoms and support a lot in her new blue GAPS book, "Gut and Physiology Syndrome." Hope this helps!

    Hello dear Marisa, you introduced me to using tallow shampoo bars and I wanted to share with you my discovery of washing hair with egg yolks in case you have not heard about it yet. It is life-changing! I only need to use egg yolks on my hair now and the results are better than when I used conventional haircare products. The GAPS book introduced me to this way of washing hair and I will never use anything else again. Highly recommend it! I use 5 egg yolks since my hair is very long past my butt, but less will do the trick for shorter hair. Thank you for your videos, love you and your kids!

      This is amazing. Do you use it as a regular shampoo or mask? My grandmother from Pakistan would use homemade yogurt straight from the cow to wash her hair. Silky smooth

      @@umarah4329 Yes, I mix 5 egg yolks without the membrane covering it with half a cup of water, put it into an applicator bottle and massage it into my wet hair in the shower. Then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and done! Very easy to detangle after the shower and leaves the perfect amount of hydration in the hair. I have also heard of using yogurt to wash hair. I have tried it before, but it did not clean my hair as well and it was too much protein for my hair. Egg yolks are the no shampooo miracle I had been searching for! By the way there is zero egg smell when removing the egg whites and membrane from the egg yolk.

      @@estefania1858 thanks so much! In the past I used a egg hair mask and it scrambled in my hair in the shower so I never tried it again 😅 do you use hot or cool water?

    • @estefania1858
      @estefania1858 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@umarah4329 I use lukewarm water, definitely not cold! I hate cold showers haha. Pure egg yolks cook at much higher temperatures than egg whites. I never had it scramble in my hair by just using the egg yolks.

    Oooh this was great! Because I am working on restoring my hormones through GAPS, liver support has been huge for me. In the beginning, I struggled sooo much with digesting animal fats, but it's improved a lot. I still can't handle more than a couple of tablespoons at a time but hopefully that improves the longer I'm on GAPS. I did a ton to detox the liver on intro & I think I went way too hard. Nowadays, I drink dandelion root tea daily, GAPS shake daily, & take beef liver capsules. How often would you recommend detox baths? I was doing them everyday at first but I'm wondering if that was too much. I've completely stopped for now, mostly because it's too hot in Texas! Thanks for sharing, Marisa!
    PS your girl is getting sooo big!

    How do you do this diet if you have to exclude sulfur thiol food because of metal toxicity.. I tried to start the diet by excluding all I am sensitive too.. like eggs, lemons, beets etc. and made myself really sick in part because of days of constipation and tried epsom salts which then was even sicker. Feeling lost but financially have to figure it out by researching.

    I was doing the shakes with 1 egg yolk and they seemed to be going well apart from mild eczema flaring up. I am sensitive to both chicken and duck yolks . Would you recommend to keep having them and pushing through?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's hard to say without knowing more; it's definitely possible that pushing through is a good idea, but I would want to look into the potential egg sensitivity before making a recommendation.
