The beast is not the only prince to experience pain and yes, I think they all do deserve a song like this.

This was my favorite song from the movie. The bass in Dan Stevens voice really brings the mood of the song vs Josh Groban's version. which sounds a bit more upbeat and faster tempo. loved this!
Since Josh Groban's version was for the credits, I guess it makes sense for it to be happier. It's nice to have a highly trained singer with a beautiful voice to sing during the credits. But as far as giving chills down the spine during the movie, Dan Stevens wins by a long shot.

Just listening to the lyrics, I don't think this can just be about the loss of Eros (romantic love). It could be about Agape (family, think sister, mother, maybe aunt even) or Philios (love between friends) as well. It doesn't just have to be about a lost lover. I know that's the message intended but it be put through different lenses and still make sense. (Example, I typically use the song to create a story with one of my immortal characters longing over the death of one of his closest friends and being upset he can't join her. This song ALWAYS makes me break down sobbing uncontrollably and there’s a reason behind it. This was the film me and my grandma last saw together when I went to visit her for Thanksgiving week 2017 just before she died 2.5 months later due to multiple organ failure brought on by an extremely rare autoimmune disease. The Beast’s words describe EXACTLY how I felt because me and Grammy were extremely close and I felt like my heart had been ripped out, not to mention that 9 days after she died, salt was added into the wound when one of my all time favorite Star Wars characters was killed off in one of the animated series (OUCH!!!) So this makes it all that much harder to watch the film which is a real drag cause Beauty and the Beast has been among my all time favorite films AND love stories (and still is) for as far back as remember (the original film was released into theaters one month before I was born!)

I met a girl during a summer internship we were both a part of. At the end of the summer we had to split up and go back to our separate universities. Words can't explain how much I love this song, I love this song and this movie because him singing this song actually shows how much he loves her, when usually its the princess singing for the prince. But for this movie it was both of them singing and they both had their solos. Not to mention how sweet this song is and how he was gonna accept if she left because he truly loves her. This was my favorite song from the movie. The bass in Dan Stevens voice really brings the mood of the song vs Josh Groban's version. which sounds a bit more upbeat and faster tempo. loved this!
Since Josh Groban's version was for the credits, I guess it makes sense for it to be happier. It's nice to have a highly trained singer with a beautiful voice to sing during the credits. But as far as giving chills down the spine during the movie, Dan Stevens wins by a long shot.

Just listening to the lyrics, I don't think this can just be about the loss of Eros (romantic love). It could be about Agape (family, think sister, mother, maybe aunt even) or Philios (love between friends) as well. It doesn't just have to be about a lost lover. I know that's the message intended but it be put through different lenses and still make sense. (Example, I typically use the song to create a story with one of my immortal characters longing over the death of one of his closest friends and being upset he can't join her. None of his species can fall in love, not even, him so it wouldn't make sense to use with that perspective.)

This movie came out when I used to be a server at a dine in movie theatre. Every SINGLE time this song would play I would drop everything and run to which ever theater it was and just stand there crying 😂 I loved it so much, can’t count how many times I did that.

I'm sooooo glad they added this song in the movie!!!!!!! It's like the best original ost for a movie that wasn't even in the original.
This song ALWAYS makes me break down sobbing uncontrollably and there’s a reason behind it. This was the film me and my grandma last saw together when I went to visit her for Thanksgiving week 2017 just before she died 2.5 months later due to multiple organ failure brought on by an extremely rare autoimmune disease. The Beast’s words describe EXACTLY how I felt because me and Grammy were extremely close and I felt like my heart had been ripped out, not to mention that 9 days after she died, salt was added into the wound when one of my all time favorite Star Wars characters was killed off in one of the animated series (OUCH!!!) So this makes it all that much harder to watch the film which is a real drag cause Beauty and the Beast has been among my all time favorite films AND love stories (and still is) for as far back as remember (the original film was released into theaters one month before I was born!)

This song for me was what sealed my love for this live action version of my childhood favorite movie. It's deep and full of so many emotions. It's Prince Adam speaking of his deep love for Belle but also his fear for the future and his sorrows. It's a wonderful song for Adam/Beast(I'll call him Adam since that's what I am used to, canon or not lol) for it most certianly develops his character further. SOMEBODY NOMINATE THIS MOVIE OR AT LEAST THE SONG FOR AN OSCAR!!
