Awesome, I have a blackjack 24, it’s been my goal to surpass 50mph, its come down to the prop and I think that TFL “hey big blades I know your the one” (she said). Again another informative and entertaining video! Thanks
I ordered my first OSE CNC prop today. Started with the 42mm, I hope I didnt buy to big of a prop for my BJ24. Im gonna have to look more into the TFL props. Thanks for the awesome guidance once again. BOAT GANG!
I have many carbon Graupner props many are still in bags... so what does 42mm and 59 mm pitch mean pitch wise?... you say just 42mm 4 pitch when explaining so i am lost on pitch on mine saying 59mm ... do you have a video explaining the difference?...thanks
Most props are measured differently from company to company Grouper measures there pitch in inches potentially traveled with one revolution of the prop..... diameter (in) x pitch = inches traveled. Ex. Prop 4214 Hopefully this helps? Hopefully I'm correct?
@@IRONCLADRC thanks but do you have any idea if a 4 pitch is less or more than the same 42 with 59mm pitch... if not no big deal... i usually just look at props and compare than try them for a minute and check temps... i have cooked a lot of parts in the past.but now i do everything in baby steps when switching props.... thanks for all the great information
Checking all your screws Grease the flex cable before each run, add foam to the hatch because the hatch will come off occasionally, sharpened & balanced tfl 438 prop is a great cheap upgrade prop for this boat.. have fun.
@@IRONCLADRC I really appreciate the info. I probably will be contacting you in the future for more question, if that ok? By the way I enjoy your videos. Where can I order the prop?
Hey man I bought a propeller 438 and I thing I bought a wrong one, it doesn't fit the shaft, are you using the stock size shaft? I am all stock, could you give me the a part number please?
It should fit like a glove? How does it not fit? Is the shaft to big? Or does the prop not fit the drive dog? 🤔 let me know I'll try to walk you through the fix
Hey Iron clad I've been watching a ton of your videos on the BJ24 and Veles, Curious if you tried the BJ24 with the stock motor on 4S and if you have a prop you could recommend?
@@IRONCLADRC Thanks your the man fun getting back into this after the supervee days may be in touch some more! Appreciate your stuff and you have a new sub!
I’m sticking with 4s just as a challenge, looks like Big B beat me to the punch but with even a smaller motor than my 3674 Some info on strut angle could help as well, I run mine pretty much like a mono hull. Thanks
I like the challenge aswell I've had 6s in the boat several times with different 6s capable motors, hand down enjoy the boat more on 4s like you said it's a challenge to get the highest possible speed on 4s. The boat handles better light weight.
Adding to Mix. CNC Detounged .440, sharpened and balanced. She's a sleeper, and hitting open water. Holy crap on 3 S. I'm afraid to try it on 4 S. It practical flew. The only thing that caught my attention, was the electronics were a bit hotter, so I am concerned about running a .442. Too much prop? Opions ? I've run a smaller Grim Racer, and a TFL , ,38 mm. hi -pitch. It would be a little wicked ride, on 4S. I don't how you guys have kept a 2.5 Lbs, boat to stay on the water on 6S? I'm not that ambitious. But love the videos. Keep em' coming!
ADDING. THE CNC .440 mm, rides real nice on that boat. But, I also run , a 120 Amp . Dynamite controller. The Stock ESC, strut, and FLEX should be updated . Also add the Heavier flex cable upgrade, and go with the V 2 version, of the strut and rudder assembly. IT has better fittings , and the prop has clearance , doesn't vibrate , like the original version .
Hi man Sebastiano from Italy here. Please can you please give me info about set up of throttle trim and throttle dual rate of Blackjack ? Another great video with this little beast. Thanks man
Wow amazing

I’ve got mine to 65 it’s wild
Hey IC...I ended up with a Leopard 3660 / 2550 kv motor. Is a 90 amp ESC too small to handle that? What amp ESC would you recommend for that motor?
if you wanna play it safe go with the 120 fly color or 150 ose.
Hobbywing 120 pro would be a great speed control for that motor it has turbo functions
@@IRONCLADRC you da man thanks

42 is about the biggest prop I've run on my black jack. You'll love it
Love seeing the Blackjack rip! Hoping to get mine that fast 😂
That 3 blade in a 44 mm is insane on the blackjack 42
My BJ24 is hysterical. I run mine on 6S with a dynamite 120 amp and Spektrum 3200kv motor and stock Sonic Wake prop. 65mph all day long
That's awsome
Miguel Flores :Did you have to modify rudder for the sonic wake prop to fit?

Is that a homemade propeller box ?
Big B , what would be your setup for 52" cat? Both electronics and prop/props
Brother I wouldn't even know where to start with a boat that size.
Hello, man I just got my first boat, a black jack 24, any good advice for beginners ?

@@IRONCLADRC im sure i bought the wrong one. 4mm P1.4 , 40mm. But even it's a 40mm the 4mm should of fit the shaft, right?

Yes, the stock blackjack 24 motor will handle 4s, I ran a tfl 438 &440 with great success, octura 4214 is another good one

Which type of prop keep the boat planted in the water
Personally I like the 438 with proper weight distribution & the octura m440 with proper strut & weight positioning

Bro, a glass top! What better conditions to try out props on a cat? Awesome stuff 👏 👌
I found this really useful Big B..Thanks for sharing with us 😀
Sure thing brother
What if, you used an AIR Dam, and Blue Printed the Sponons? It, may stay down better. ? Just a thought?
I've blueprinted the sponsons I hit 73 the other day on 4s.
Did you run 2S or 2x2S?
2x2 packs
