(There were rumors back in 2018 they would be getting new models... People were right, just, half a decade too early lol)

Thanks! I tend to keep a minimal backlog, so i stay excited for projects. I combine a lot of batch steps, and look for efficiencies where i can. I try to chip away a little daily, but give myself days off intentionally. I find the hardest part is starting for me. So i try to push myself to start, pick a small step. If I'm not feeling it, I'll stop when i finish that step. A lot of time i just get sucked in and end up doing a lot more. When i do paint, i really just try and focus. Leave my phone in another room, etc. its me time

Ya, I got really into it. I was recovering from an injury for a few months, and there wasn't much I could do. Ended up forming some habits and just keeping with it when I healed up!
I'm hoping to have another good chunk to show for year 2. Currently, I'm a fair bit behind my pace from last year, but hoping a few concentrated weeks/months will put me back on track!
I started with a dry pallet, but now use mostly a wet pallet. For metals and fluorescents I use the dry pallet still. The paints I use the most is Monument Hobbies Pro Acryl (about 85%) and Vallejo (about 10%) with everything else combined filling in the last 5%.
so can you dm the cloning service you use in your daily life so you can afford that much time in a year to paint to such a beautiful standard and creative too!

Thank you! I try to make progress in some way every day. My focus has been on improving. Everything I've learned is from TH-cam, so the bar was set pretty high. Most of these armies were painted while trying to learn something. The Aeldari were all about learning to use my airbrush. My Space Marines were strictly a project to learn to edge highlight (poorly). The Orks were all about learning just how painful I can make things for myself... I mean, Cell shading.

Thank you! Some of the eldar are vallejo violet, blue violet and sky blue with light sky blue highlights. Others are pro acryl royal purple, blue, and sky blue. The nids are pro acryl dark purple, and a mix of dark purple and white blue.

Hello, I just want to know where I should start and which pakages are worth buying. I was thinking space marines, necrons, tyranids. Same goes for paints I got no idea what I'll need since I would like to spend hrs painting.
Hi! Thanks for commenting! Since you're mentioning both Tyranids and Space Marines, I'd have to suggest the Warhammer 40,000 Starter set. It comes with a good number of models for both Space Marines and Tyranids. I've felt this was one of the better values they have for 40k models overall. They are push fit models, so you can get away without getting plastic glue, though most people recommend using a small amount of glue still. When it comes to paints, and everything else. It will depend a bit on what may be available to you. The only paint I have a fair amount of experience with is Monument Hobbies "Pro Acryl" If you aren't sure of your colour schemes they have a "Base Set" with 24 paints that is fantastic. If you already know what colour scheme you'd like to paint, then you can just get those colours. If you don't have access to Pro Acryl, most brands are making pretty good paint these days from what I've heard. Outside of that, I suggest looking at Gundam model toolsets on amazon. They have snippers, knives and tools etc and it's much cheaper. The brushes I use are from "Golden Maple" on amazon. If you have any other questions, or need clarifications, just let me know :)

Pro Acryl should definitely be available in the area. You'll want a way to prime them as well. It makes a difference. I'd recommend starting with Spray primer for your first box or two. If you're struggling to pick a paint scheme, don't worry. That's one of the hardest elements for many people. I'd suggest maybe finding a scheme you like, or trying the box art scheme for your first time. The Ultimate Starter looks like another good value. Let me know if you end up with more questions. Happy to be helpful.
