Thanks Dennis, yes it was a nice park with plenty of picnic areas, walks and lookouts. Unfortunately I did not have much time to explore the park after finishing my activation. My CW send speed is about 19 WPM which I find to be a comfortable pace, 73

Very cool video! Always amazing and exciting: sitting in a park with a string of wire and a few watts and making contacts with some antipodes! 73 de HS0ZPR

New radio? Glad you had a nice day’s operation. I’m going out in a couple of hours. I need to beat the day’s heat. Yesterday was 109F (42.8C)!

I bought the FT-710 late last year, I don’t normally take it out in the field due to its size and weight, so it normally use it as my base station. Good luck with your activation, keep out of he midday summer sun. It is winter here so the temperature is around 20C (68F) during the day, 73

Hi James, I am learning CW through the LICW Club. I find all your live videos a fantastic resource. I just close my eyes and try and follow. Live QSO’s are the best practice. Is it OK if I share your channel as a resource to the LICW club?

Hi Gwen, I am glad the videos are helpful with your CW practice. I am more than happy for you to share them with others, I create the videos with captions to help people learn and to encourage more people to use CW. All the best with your CW practice, 73

Nice field setup ; ) What Key are you using? Thank You.

Thanks for watching. I bought the key off EBay a few years ago, it’s just a generic (unbranded) brass key. It weights over 1kg so I don’t take it on my portable activations very often, 73
