Beaches On The Air (BOTA) - CW activation of Terrigal Beach using SW-3B and linked dipole

- Beaches On The Air (BOTA) activation of Terrrigal Beach on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. My first BOTA activation on Saturday 23 September 2023. Operating on 40 m (7.033 MHz) and 20 m (14.065 MHz).
The chasers add "chaser reports" using the activators callsign or beach reference. No logs are submitted by the activator or chasers. Further details at provided : www.beachesontheair.com
CW at 20 WPM using SW-3B QRP transceiver, four 3.2V lithium batteries and BaMaKey TP-II iambic key. The antenna is a 40m and 20m linked dipole as an inverted-v supported using a SotaBeams Carbon 6 telescopic mast. The audio has been recorded using Sony ICD-UX570 digital recorded.

Thank you for the feedback Alex. I didn’t notice the puppy watering the mast during the activation but saw it when I was editing the video, it made me laugh out loud too. It was a nice place to do an activation but ended up with sand through my clothes and bag, 73

G'day James, I fine that the SW-3B QRP transceiver with TX & RX so different the RX sounds like listening to a flat drum , Is there anyway of changing the sound in the Menu setting? Thank for your video, 73 Dennis vk4oc.
I recorded the audio using the Sony recorder with a direct line from the transceiver. I may have had the volume too high causing it to clip, so I will need to adjust the settings in future. I didn’t want to record the audio from a speaker as it would have been drowned out by the wind. Thanks again Dennis for your feedback, 73

@@dennispeake1877 Hi Dennis, I will look into it and see if I can improve the audio quality. Maybe I can use the Sony recorder to record the audio from a speaker and use a wind sock to reduce wind noise, 73
