    The more you heat sesame oil, the more it loses its flavor. Always add it at the last minute or directly in the dish once it's ready to serve.

    Chinese Noodle Soup
    BROTH
    3 cups chicken stock/broth
    2 tsp mince garlic cloves
    1/2 tsp ground ginger
    1 tbsp soy sauce
    2 tsp sugar
    1 tbsp red wine vinegar
    1/2 tsp oil
    TOPPINGS & NOODLES
    6oz fresh egg noodles
    2 large bok choy or other vegetables of choice
    1 cup shredded cooked chicken
    1 scallion / shallot

    I think I might try that for lunch today, since working from home I feel like this can be whipped up in minutes without taking up too much of the lunch break. I have leftover cooked chicken. I wonder if I can replace bok choy with Kale. should I cook the kale? would it taste ok if I boil it like the bok choy or should i saute it with garlic and olive oil? also how do I avoid that spoon of sugar, would a little bit of honey work?

      That's just a chicken broth or stock according to her website. You can make stock by combining leftover bones (or chicken for broth), carrots, onions, etc. with some water in a pot, bring it to a boil, and let it simmer for a while (hour or so), or just throw all the ingredients in a slow cooker which is what I usually do. Maybe you know this already but I hope it helps!

    do you use the can of Campbells chicken broth straight or do you dilute it with a can of water as per the can instructions ? Thanks George

    Cooking the chicken with a little 芽菜 and 豆瓣酱 also makes it very tasty

    Super good, simple . Ive made it twice , in quebec it is pretty hard (near impossible) to find Chinese wine so had to do without it

      Try replacing the wine with Japanese mirin and not adding in the sugar. Or, you could use dry sherry.

    10mins is a bit of a lie. You need to cook the broth and also the chicken. You didn't even show that in the video!
    To cook broth you need to cook the bones and that takes 5hours minimum.

    Why not cook the vegetables and noodles in the broth instead of water ? Makes no sense to me.
