Thank you for the comment! I entered into the laptop's BIOS. If you need to access BIOS/UEFI press the F2 key several times at the Dell logo screen during startup. Or, press the F12 key several times at the Dell logo screen during startup and select BIOS Setup or System Setup from the menu.

I tried searching for drivers for the card and came up empty. Did the laptop in the video only support 2.4 GHz?
I'm happy to help! it depends on the model. Some laptops have whitelist for WiFi adapter cards so you can use only specific models of wireless adapters. What's the model of your laptop?
@The MellowCade That refers only to old laptops with PCIe slot. All modern laptops with M.2 slot usually don't have any compatibility issues.

Btw I have another laptop whose specs I'm not much confirmed about.. It's a "Lenovo U41-70" Both of these r mine and I just need the data of the lenovo laptop and I can use it as a experimental laptop to test things on...
Back story: it had a broken hinge so we send it to a technician and he couldn't fix it (at that time I didn't knew how easy it was to fix hinges) and when the laptop came to us it couldn't perform graphic intensive tasks I didn't play much games during that time but when whenever I did the screen would flickker like small black moving rectangles would pop up and start flickering crazily... (He probably did some stuff...)
Any suggestions for this laptop or do I keep it for experimental purposes

First of all, I have to say that only the drive, RAM, and wireless card can be replaced in that model. The CPU is soldered to the board, and you need an infrared rework station to replace it. It's an extremely complex process, and considering the price of a new CPU, it will cost more than that laptop. 8GB RAM is the maximum supported by that model.
The SSD model that you provided is a pretty good option. Go with it. You'll definitely notice the difference in performance; it will be like a brand new laptop. Just set virtual RAM memory to something around 16GB. I have a video about upgrading old laptops' RAM vs SSD and how to set virtual RAM, or you can simply Google it.
The easiest way to transfer your data is via a USB drive, then clean install Windows on a new SSD, and finally copy your data back from the USB drive. You can also clone your old system into the new SSD, but performance-wise, it's not the best option to clone the old system from HDD to a USB.
As for the Lenovo, I'd first reset the BIOS to defaults, reinstall Windows, and then install fresh drivers and BIOS firmware. Most likely, it will fix the problem.

That CPU is not user upgradable! It's soldered to the motherboard and you need an infrared rework station to replace it.

You,re welcome! You can't physically add a second drive to that laptop. There's only one SATA connector for a 2.5" HDD/SSD and there's no an M.2 slot for NVMe or NGFF SSD.
I did add ssd and hdd. I only used a caddy and replaced the dvd so that I can have an ssd and hdd at the same time.
I also have a question though. Is it possible to upgrade the cpu of the laptop? I know the graphics card cannot be upgraded but how about cpu? Thank you very much!

There's only one memory slot so you can get only 8Gb of RAM. You can use any SATA SSD. I recommend using Samsung SSDs.

In the latest laptops models you can't upgrade WiFi cards anymore. They are soldered to the board. So RAM and SSD are the only options you got.

because there's a bunch of screws under the keyboard that hold the back cover.

Technically it's possible but the CPU is soldered to the motherboard so you need a soldering equipment to do that job. Or you can go to a repair shop and ask them to replace the CPU.

8GB of RAM will make it more comfortable and if you replace your HDD with an SSD drive you'll definitely notice the difference. But if you can buy a new laptop then I don't recommend upgrading it.

I ordered the Intel 9260 wifi card for my Dell Inspiron 15 3573 and I am not able to get the laptop to detect the wifi but it works with the bluetooth just fine. I put the card in another laptop and it works fine so I know the card is ok. Any tips on how you got the 9260 card to work in this laptop?
When you go to Device manager can you see new unrecognized device or something like that? Also try to update your BIOS to the latest version and try to install Intel's drivers for that adapter.
@@ElectronicsComputers no it doesn't show up in device manager at all. I have an Intel 8265 and it does the same thing, Bluetooth and no wifi. Bios is on 1.8.0 which is the latest. When I swap the factory card back in it works every time. I work in IT so I'm not new to this stuff but I just can't figure out why this isn't being detected.

Technically you can replace CPU but you need a soldering station and a whole bunch of staff including proper skills to do that. CPUs are not user replaceable anymore like it was 10 years ago.

Your laptop officially supports maximum 8GB DDR3L-1600 RAM. Your best option is 2 modules by 4Gb. And of course after upgrading your laptop to SSD and 8Gb of RAM, it will be completely different laptop. It really worth it.

Yes, there are some special adapters that you put insted of your optical drive and you get 2 SATA ports, so you can use both SSD and HDD at the same time. If you want I could give you the link.

It's totally normal, if you disconnect the battery the BIOS settings will be set to the default and it will also reset the time.

Technically it's possible but requires infrared rework station to replace it. Or you can go to a repair shop and ask them to replace it but this laptop is not worth it.

That model has a bunch of different setups with different CPUs. This particular model in the video has Intel Celeron N4000.
