Hey love the channel just wanted to say one helpful tip with your snowmobile is you should put a piece of wood under Track to keep it of the concrete the concrete will ruin snowmobile tracks
The typical issue with those is a float issue I've had 2 like that. Try adjusting the float or maybe if the compressions low it might be that but my 2 ds80s have had the same issue and my friends did too
Them ds 80s are actually good little bikes I owned 2 of them before a long time ago when I was 14 and one was original and the other had a 1978 rm100 engine on it along with 1983 rm80 front forks and swing arm, shock and wheels i called it the hillbilly big wheel.....
Damn dude I didn’t realize you had all these nice bikes I’m going through all your videos Jesus you have a quad Zila RM 490 KTM 500 lol you got some good stuff out in your town or state
Omg man. I am l looking at buying a ds80....same price(cus it's a trade). One is a 1979 and one is a 1994 or 1995. I've looked up specs and found out that any ds80 before 1981 apparently only has 6.5hp while any after 1981 has 7.6hp. I cant decide on which one tbh how does yours run?
If you wanted to you could probably get Plastics for the Suzuki 80 and a CRF 100f is a great bike I have one and love it the only thing I don’t like abt it is the suspension is to soft
Gavin Bixler yeah I can agree my first bike was a crf100 the suspension was really soft. Tbh if your looking for an upgrade the kx100 is what I went to next great bike lots of power
@@2vintage That engine will implode soon enough it the bottom end isn't getting lubricated with oil then, I would sell it I have owned a couple ds80s they have some interesting technology but most you find run like crap because people do "mods" like that and they were never designed for them.
Idk I think you're thinking of an rm80. Every year I believe of ds80s from 1978 all the way to 2000 when they were discontinued for the jr80s production were all 5 speeds. (Same bike different plastics). On the other hand rm80s and rm60s were 6 speeds
Bro if I was you I would keep the quadzilla and get a banshee and than a 250r and just have a collecting and dont ride them for a few years and they will be worth so much money.

Dude so funny . I saw a quadzilla on face book for sale and then ran into your videos . I think I'm like 15 minutes from you😆😆
Wow thanks! I will use this Tin foil trick on my 1991 Voshod 3M 175cc 2 stroker! Its a cool project bike!
Soak parts in soap and vinegar, had rusty fmf pipe on my rm250 and a vinegar bath cleaned it up nicely and some good ol scotch brite

Your petcock or fuel inlet might also be clogged I've seen that
Floats are horrible If you don’t know what you’re doing with them I hate that little needle
I've watched your channel progress over the years and I want to say good job man. I love the videos keep em up

Good to see the the old bike run liked !
So you have to do something beside pluging carb to stop oil injection i heard if you don’t remove oil injection gear it will cease up .
Good vid man. Also make sure to cap off the oil pump Inlet on the carb. Air leak for sure
Love the minty channel

Honestly, this trick gives flitz a run for its money. I gotta try this myself 👍great vid
Cleaning up that exposed flywheel or whatever probably wouldn't hurt it either haha..
Yeah true true😂
check inlet manifold rubber for splits, clean carb inside and out for starters.

I love suzuki's ts , ds, tm , rm .
Hey my pw 80 does the same exact thing were it would start then turn of

xXTID3P0D133Xx yeah I want to go to a Yamaha YZ 85 but idk
The swingarm and rims wont rust. They are aluminum. Aluminum will tarnish.
Keep up the awesome vids
What college do u go to?
Ya run premix cause if the pump ever fails it will seize ur motor! And try and get a air filer that fits on there like from a pitbike store 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Can you use it on a pipe its a pro circut platinum pipe
@Badass Busta Brown thanks
those ds80 have crankcase injection using the pump, look it up. If your pump dies then your going to blow the bottom end by design.
Yeah I run prefix in it.because the pump stopped working.

My 1986 ds80 was a 6 speed and it said it on the ignition cover

I've been watching you since you had 583 subs. You guys are still awesome. Aaand keep the good vids up. 👍💓❤🔥🔥🔥🍕
The Suzuki is triple minty!! Where’s Chuck?
Ummm...no? No it's not.
Sucks you sold the lt 500 but oh well, you'll get another one probably for cheap anyways in the future👀
Yeah hopefully!
It runs decent I saw 2 for sale
Please get the atc 250r
Will it work on quad rims that are aluminum
Nah
It will scratch them
If there aluminum they dont have rust. Scotchbrite pads Will shine theme up a bit though
Use autosol on them if there ally it brings all aluminium parts to a mirror finish
The ds80 have 5 or 6 gears
5
@@2vintage I had one a couple years back, parts are super hard to find in Scotland, UK 🇬🇧 my one had a snapped kick start shaft and no back pipe
@@rabbyredpath3598 yeah parts are pretty tough to find here too..
Good vid
get a cover for that flywheel
Fine steel wool works like 10x better than tin foil
I've tried that before and I have to say I disagree with you
@@69headwound it used to be called tin foil...virtually the same thing except tin is softer and more exspensive.
headwound just stfu😂you’re arguing over tin foil and aluminum foil💀
@@2vintage its more abrasive and it just seems to remove oxidation and rust a lot easier
SOS pads due the same thing :P
Check the petcock
Bro if I was you I would keep the quadzilla and get a banshee and than a 250r and just have a collecting and dont ride them for a few years and they will be worth so much money.

Yea boiiiii
Tap the carb on ds 80! Might b a stuck float
i nearly got a 72' ts 250 with 3 spare engines it was cool but i don't have the room for anything hahaha
