Great job K.Y. , your method of overlapping flanges and making only one cut is a real time saver.
Two years ago i bought a 18 foot trailer car hauler , used it once and now it just sits in my building .
Still looks new like the day i bought it.
thanks for the tips getting ready to build fenders you saved me having to make my own plans joe
Good luck with your project!
You do you, boo boo. Nice work.
Thank you!
Quality work Yank-E
One more mod that I would do is box in the tail lights to protect them, they always seem to find a why to get hit and broken. A Yankee trailer has to be some combo of Red White and Blue.
I need to make some of these.
Great job -- THANKS for sharing! Better than storebought.
Thanks, they worked out great!
Not going to lie, I was like no way that's going to be strong enough! then you running across it sold me!!! Haha, youtube magic at its finest!
They're very strong actually, happy with then still haven't painted them yet
Best video ever ! Great job and I enjoyed your humor ...
Thank you!
nice work!
Nice!! You do good work.
Thank you!
That's awesome
Great job!
Thanks!
Thanks for the video helped alot got them done for $80
Wow that's cheap enough!
Awesome job dud. I was considering buying my trailer fender from rural king but they are a $100 plus taxes each. Thx for the video.
Thanks they worked out good really strong I like em
Smart guy creative thinking good job
Thanks!
Just found your channel and have my own trailer to "restore" as well. Thanks for the ideas and your trailer is lookin' great. Keep up the good work.
P.S. I wonder if that Kentucky license plate is still available for that giveaway.
Thanks!! I don't think I have anymore
Looking to fo something similar so I can side load an 800 lbs Atv with the ramps on the fender
Good work on them black fenders.
Thank You!
thanks for the vid man & that part you said regarding acting a fool back in day and now all serious and how sad it is etc was hilarious 😂. ain’t that the truth, back in day it was just for fun, now there’s more pressure to get things done as we have other stuff to deal with …. While still fun, it is different no doubt.
So true! 😂😂 Thanks for watching!
Thx greatly appreciated
NICE AND GOOD EXPLANATION..
what size is the sheet plate you used.?
I think 4x8 made both fenders but sorry I can't remember for sure the measurements are in the video tho thanks for watching!
Thank you
How's she goin'? You did some job on the fender. Looks real solid. I think the colors will be Red with Grey and Black trim....
@@kentuckyyankee You guessed it!!! Then my Massey Ferguson GC2300 will look good next to it!!!
Nice job
Thanks!
New to channel love it ky resident
Welcome! Thanks for watching!
Nice fenders
Thanks!
What is the final angle you got for them? 25° angle?
Am building my first trailer and am not sure what gauge of diamond plate should i used! What do you recommend? Is 16/6 feet long by 5/10 two 3500 axles.
@@kentuckyyankee thanks!
I made a jig that I sit over the flat metal with the angles already on it so all you gotta do is bend it and tack it. It takes me 5 minutes to make a fender now
Good deal! Sell them make money💰
These look tuff
They have been so far
@@kentuckyyankee what gauge metal? What are the dimensions altogether of the sheet before the bend it at the shop?
Great video why a yankee in Kentucky?
Moved here over 20 years ago from N.Y. 4 seasons here winters are mild taxes are cheaper. They always call me a Yankee in Kentucky 😂
You know what they say runs don't rust.
is there a way to bend it without going to the machine shop?
I'm sure you could do it like the other bends I made, just more work
@@kentuckyyankee Thanks, and I would but I just want it to be straight. How much is that sheet metal ? like 4x8 needed for the video
@@doucheonmandickd3994 I'm sorry I don't remember.
What was the thickness?
I think 1/8 inch
Have to give you credit, at least you’re wearing proper PPE , I see so many TH-cam guys wearing shorts and flip flops, crazy stupidity. Great job.
Thank you, but I'm guilty of not always being safe. 😂
I'm guessing you'll paint it black and put reflective trailer tape on the sides. Then you might put some grip tape on your new fenders. I don't recall seeing a battery/cargo strap box. But that I'd guess would be diamond plate aluminum, polished like them rims.
Figure as a buyer, fixer upper and seller, your need to have it presold to someone that wants the wild colors, that's why I went with just black. Though.. Maybe some race stripes on the deck where the tires of the car would roll or maybe even a center line in case it's a mud tractor.
Seeing as you're still MMA emperor K.Y. Might have use for them lines. It'd Help get 6 illegally built units on at a time. Gotta drain the mud tractor swap of the illegal units to make way for the K.Y standard to replace it. LoL
Will this get me hate messages from those really happy mud tractor people?
flush cut them bottoms to trailer
That's a fender !
Nice fenders
Thank you!
