In this wow classic video we are back in ZF, but with a brand new power leveling pull that makes it SO MUCH EASIER for the boostees! They come into the instance and go AFK. This should hopefully help to make the farm more lucrative and get a higher gold per hour. It also gets a higher xp/hr though due to pulling extra mobs, the ZF scarabs, and the ZF Graveyard! We end up pulling over 100 mobs a run! They also have fantastic loot tables that can get some really nice gold in wow classic! I hope this helps you with your boosting farms!!

One quick note i've discovered doing this- instead of pulling all the zombies around the heroes, it's much easier to just single target frostbolt them down, since they don't pull zombies with them. I just shoot down the 3-4 heroes in my GY and then the pull is MUCH easier.

Just about to mention that, I have been killing those, I also have been doing the first scarab pull with the 12 pull, that way I don't have to deal with grouping the zombies and it usually goes faster that way. (can also pull all the scarabs, PLUS use the scarab room to group the zombies ahead of time and basically not NEED ice block for the zombies since they're all RIGHT on top of each other that way. )

This guy is a genius, He is like a modernized wowhobbs on steroids. He probably pulls 200 mobs in his dreams and wakes up and thinks of a hundred ways to optimize the pull in the dungeon that doesn't even exist.

I didn't know about the dead heroes, plus the minor speed boost has helped tremendously. I am basically pre-bis frost lvl 60 mage and I still find it tough at times to nova out of my IB and survive. I think with the bigger pulls such as this, the LIP or thornling seeds will do me wonders. Thanks

You can kill all the fallen heroes first in the GY, they won't aggro the zombies so you can clean that up pre-pull and not worry

little tip you might not of known that ive been doing since launch in ZF gy area, if you quickly go into that bosses room and activate his emote THEN bug out on thew wall, EVERY zombie in the GY will not aggro you when you open them, and instead go to the boss area THEN come to you. gives you a load more time and less chance of dying
Yup! Thank you, and that's what I used to do! Unfortunately when you do a pull like this where you're activating all of the mobs then trying to agro them, you can take a lot of damage if they're clumped up like this. I find that when they're not clumped and just on the graves I take much less damage.

Arlaeus is amazing. Has taught me how to farm like the pro farmers. Played mage as 1st class in original vanilla and have played for many years across different platforms of wow (Ps+retail).I have done crazy things like solo kite bosses and dragons but now have started farming in new ways. Did the original aoe farms in WPL etc but the new ones farming scores of elites in dungeons take the cake. Its incredible to have experience and have someone keep adding to that

I'm often having issues with the Zombies crazy range of leeway. Taking into account the difference with scarabs? Truly crazy. The LIP potion seems like really logical choice. Still I salute you for figuring it all out.
My question is why do you take Elemental Precision talent? Unless you plan to do any content on your level and only focus on low level farm the spell hit is not really necessary nor useful to my knowledge?
I use the specs for various farms, but you don't need it if you're just doing ZF! Glad it's helping you :)

Came here to say that I've noticed the heroes have much less hp than the other zombies. Other comments have suggested single targeting them down before the pull. Great idea! I do wonder, though, if it would be faster to just pull the whole room and aoe them down until the heroes die then grab scarabs and take everything to the front. Either way, avoiding the RNG scuffiness is key to this and I'm glad there are methods we can use to overcome.
Thank you Frank, I really appreciate it!! So i think the only issue with that strategy is how close the mobs may be to you when you get started. I'm not sure if you'll have time to agro up all the scarabs before they can get to you. I like where you're thinking though!

Do more videos of this! Where you boost and killing heroes with frostbolt as the comment said :) Btw, to avoid LIP, you could ask a boosted-mage/warlock/hunter etc to do a channeling aoe, for example Blizzard on you, before you leave IB, and then just cancel aura and nova!

To avoid that half of the mobs evade ur frostnova i would recommend to tell ur boosties to wait outside until the mobs are in the nova. Its kinda random if they evade it or not but it saves ur time for sure.
What I do to not use a LIP is when I ice block I have my alt mage in the group. When I ice block I alt tab to my alt mage and blizzard. They'll start aggroing to my alt mage and I just cancel ice block then frost nova. I can blink away then start my rotation on my 60 mage. Or just let a mage in my group for free. Either way works tbh.

Also a note for the end, if you did solo mage runs from 44, then the last part shouldnt be a big problem, worst case have a mana pot ready and just stall with rank 1 CoC, or evo. Great vid!

Another way to kill the scarabs 100% alone is to kill the 1 dude patroling between scarabs and GY. You can then easily and safe lure the scarabs back to the GY and jump up on the regular wall and take em down there. Jump up from the left side of boss then the mobs wont teleport away.

Excelent vid! A couple of questions though..
Q: What level to enter ZF? Is it the same as SM or will we still be doing SM boosts to bridge the gap?
Q: If the Dead Heroes don't chain aggro from the zombies, couldn't you just kill them before you start pulling? They have very little HP.
Q: Could you pull a Shadowcaster or two as you're running past, say the two that are channelling a spell around the square thingy, for regen if you're in regen spec?

1) I believe that it's lv 30 to enter. SM is a faster boost than ZF, so i'd recommend SM till 40.
2) Yes, 100%! I honestly didn't even think about that, but I 100% should have!

You can see how many mobs you killed on Details if you change it to Frags, it also shows how many of each mob you killed.

You can bug the graves by pulling the Boss at the graves.
Then you reset.
If you now open the graves, Mobs will run to the Boss first so you have more time to save pull and maybe do it in 1 try.

Yup thank you! The difficult part about that is that the mobs are then stacked and if you get too close will all hit you at once, rather than taking less damage while running through agroing them all

You can frostnova them if you need to.

Awsome work, totally sick. I salute you for putting in the time to figure this out. What you also can do, if you feel ballsy. Is if you have a second account, you can take agro with another toon of yours and leave IB -> nova. I will def try that with my mage & priest combo.

Why not reset after the first pull when only the shadow casters are left. Pull (some) of them when you bring the scarabs and zombies to keep your mana up? 2-3 casters would easily fix the mana issues, right? if you have the resist/regen spec 3 casters would = ~15% mana regen every 3 seconds or so...
You can save a couple of bag slots by putting the keys in the keyring though :)
Thanks for the vid! That initial pull is brutal if you don't have Magic Absorption. I go oom every time. How did you do that with the Flamestrike talents?
Hey B C! So on that initial pull you shouldn't be losing any mana really prior to the pull while agroing the mobs, so once you have them into position it's just about doing DPS. What I would do is come out of block and go for a flamestrike shatter combo on all the mobs, Kill totems, but outside of that cone of cold kite until nova is up and then do it again. At that point the mobs should be close to dead and you can aoe them down. Once the melee (with doctor + blood drinkers) are down, you can go ahead and evocate and move onto the shadowcasters, as you won't need evocate on the last pull with this spec!
Arleus, as for July, what do you think about this boost compared to others?

Are you able to loot the graves after pulling all the mobs to the entrance, without them despawning? The cloth/greens/golden tusks are really worthwhile imo. Great guide! I too struggled to get my alt to the GY in one piece.
Thank you Delusa!! Likely not with the boosting as you would have to run all the way back to the end. What you could potentially do is open up the graves slower and double click every grave to loot it as you go. If you open them in say 5 rotations instead of two you could likely loot all the graves as well!

Thank you ZRM!! I think it really depends on your servers prices and how much people pay for boosting! Most of the time I'd say Mara, with BRD being a close second.
Arlaeus And what abou the solo runs? I mean sometimes it’s pretty annoying to boost people, especially in ZF, maybe you can’t have a full group everytime, you know what I mean?:D so i suppose ZF is a good run to solo farm or which one is the best?

I'm trying to boost my warlock on my other account. Won't the IB just make the mobs run to my lock? I ask because yesterday I took some gold to run a couple guys through SM Cath yesterday, they kinda followed me a bit close, and the mobs immediately ran to my group as soon as I IB'd. They didn't heal or anything (to my knowledge).

I have the improved CoC talent, but I think I mess up aiming it well in big polls. It looks super easy and consistent in your videos, even when you're doing it in passing. How do you make your CoC angle so good and consistent?
Hi Ashley! Practice practice practice and you'll get the feel down :). Ultimately, once you get a feel for your leeway range with your character you can use it in your favor as opposed to against you. Another thing that may help in the mean time is jumping, but I wouldn't rely on that in the long term as it could potentially cause some lack of movement issues.

I'm following the same path with ice barrier and mana shield on for the gather portion, and the zombies eat through both shields and i get down to about 60% before the beattles. It seemed okay yesterday, but today it just seems like the zombies have 10 yard arms that punch from far away!!
Do you have any suggestions on perfecting the initial round up? I kill all the red colored zombies with fireball, scorch fireblast - so aggroing other mobs never happens. I just slop at the initial pull for some reason..
Hahah those long arms are brutal! It's about not running too close to the mobs, but just close enough!

How about using Slow fall when you jump down? Doesn't that solve all the problems with jumping down?
You run the risk of slow falling into extra mobs, but you can certainly do this if you'd like! jumping down in the middle though is very easy and you only lose like 4% health :)

If you get a bunch of dead heroes why not start the pull like you're doing the ledge jump solo farm and aoe til the heroes die (they're non-elite with less hp) then reset?
fire strike build is not working at all for ZF. i wish you had a video showing that one.
New tip I found out: the non elites in the graveyard can be killed without aggro’ing the elite zombies. I frost bolted them down before the pull so I could grab all of the elites.

Is the only reason you pull them back to the start of the zone for boosting? IB and kite in scarab area might speed up the run.
Yup that's the only reason! You can definitely speed it up with the scarab area. I do it in the start solely so that the people getting boosted don't have to move :)

Where do you have info on edgemasters dropping off the scarabs? I don't doubt you but I don't see them on classic wowhead.
Ya so what I've found is that wowhead isn't completely accurate. People told me they have in the comments. I was very surprised, but it appears that wowhead was missing a lot of items that others have received.

Thank you Chase! That is weakauras combined with a script to track instances. If you google "weak auras script to track instance lockout" you'll find it!

There is a mara orange/purple pull thats also really good, and it picks up the rare mob so you can get some more gold by selling his loot to your boosts too, maybe check that one out

Do you downrank aoe spells? Even in full tier 2.5 and mana back on spell resist talent i'm oom in no time.
cant clear the first part with the flame/coc spec not enough mana to burn them down, i could do it easily with the resist spec though

Great video, been using this method for 7 hours today boosting my alt.
I have one problem tho, sometimes when I run back towards the entrance with the Zombies, they despawn when I jump to the place where you can go for an Evo/Bandage. As in, they just disappear and teleport back to the GY.
Do you know why that is? Happened 5-6 times out of however many runs I did in those 7 hours, and it's just annoying that you have to run back and redo.
they likely just reset because you got too far ahead of them.
Instead of popping a LIP, what if instead you get a member of your group to aggro for a second or so and then nova instantly?
Hey @SuperRealmedia! Yes, that will work perfectly! If you have someone with ranged or a healer in your group that's a great method.
I cannot for the life of me do this on my half raid geared mage. I don't get what I'm doing wrong. The mobs just wont die and they hit like tanks.

What I did was make a cancelaura macro with LiP and just spam it. You sometimes get hit a few times, don't think there's anything to do about that.

Why didn't you aggro the boss first so the zombies dont immediately attack you?
So he can cherry pick the zombies and leave the dead heroes. Also, the boss will probably aggro other stuff like witch doctors as it chases you.

Hi @Mitch! That is weakauras combined with a weakauras script that you can grab from googling "wow classic weakauras script for instance lockouts" and you'll find a bunch and can pick the one you like!

Mr arlaeus, I'm not doubting your claim but can you confirm your statement about scarabs dropping freezing band and edgemasters? I've had 2 underworld bands drop off scarabs but never seen an edgemaster or freezing band.
I can't personally confirm it, but when I made my ZF vs Mara video the other week people were commenting how they've seen both. Due to the quantity of people saying that they've seen edgemasters I would believe it's true. Wowheads loot table isn't great though, so I'm not 100% on it.

Stay there till 54! Then quest/aoe grind until 57
If your doing zf gy pull, you can stay there till 55 and make a ton more gold, still viable xp but plenty more gold
+Arlaeus My LootAppraiser keeps resetting? Like it's installed - but unless I do a /la at the beginning, it's not counting anything. So if I start it up say 5 min into my farming - it starts from then on, it never collected the data from the beginning or the drops etc. Is there a setting I am missing? Yours seem to be counting even when you have clicked it away.
It makes me think i should really get my blade of eternal darkness.

Hey @Dustin! Yes, this is around 70k xp/hr roughly! Mara is definitely a bit harder, but this is likely more manageable for a lot of people, and doesn't require running over to desolace, so it's very person dependent!
i find im getting hit alot by the casters in the first pull. What can i do to resist more of the spells? better gear?
Did people do this in vanilla? I mean im sure someone did it, but was it this popular? I wonder if youtube is why this is so popular. I want a mage so bad now :) I just don't feel like leveling up again ugh I can only play 2-3 hours a day so its slow to level. but I guess I will cause this stuff looks so fun
If you have gold you could have people help you level! People did this in vanilla but not frequently and typically not to this scale. TH-cam has really helped its growth! You got this man!!
I really don't like they lip methods. It's 4,5 - 5g a pop on my server.
I guess it's fine if you're boosting or if you are really into farming.
@arlaus Do I need the epic mount to pull this off? they seem to catch up quick and I take a lot of damage on the zombie pull

How do you do this without ice block there when boosting? Do you just fight them somewhere else?

You can! The alts are far enough away that they aren't seen by the mobs and so the mobs stay on you!
@@arlaeus9491 i'm trying this method for some time now. In 3 of 5 attemps, 1-4 mobs run away from ice block directly to the peoples.
i'm checking everey range, its no difference.
