Hey Frost, great guide. Since you say it's hard to explain on the fly while concentrating on killing all the mobs, just a suggestion but maybe do the commentary after recording. That way you can pause the video in certain spots to give a bit more of an in-depth analysis of what you're doing or what you're trying to explain instead of having to just give a quick explanation as you're about to get smacked. Keep em coming, made lots of gold learning from you!

You can actually stay mounted if you run up the tree root instead of blinking through the tree to make the pull even easier than when you're on foot. If you fall off the root you can always keep going on foot just like this!

My rogue is my "money maker" and i make about 60g/hour with my limited grinding options. I am mining/eng so i can do the DM jump runs like other people because i thought mining would actually make me money instead of what is really making all the money ench/alch.
When i see him with 35k gold and i look at my measely 1.4k gold its not so impressive anymore.
Economy reset or TBC is ruined. I have 60k gold myself but Im a multiboxer farming strat live.
Cutting together all the deaths is actually a really good idea: it shows the pitfalls that one usually is not even aware of when only watching sucessfull runs.
Meaning, if not warned, we all have to find out the hard way and die many many times.
Hi Frost! Where you dismount on the root, if you jump the right way you can stay on your mount which I prefer a lot. that way you can jump toward the bridge on your epic mount. I can show you some time how exactly to do it if you'd like. :)

Found something interesting that I have yet to see anyone post: if you get dazed and dismounted, your RP walk speed will be stuck in dazed mode. As a result, you will most likely fail the jump on the bridge over and over again. Your strafe jump seems to be affected by this in air even when not in RP walk mode as well.
well you are missing 1 pack, which you can pull easily by blinking through the last pack, silencing the furthest croc and waiting for grouping of the mobs and then lipping,

I was just going comment on that! He does pull another pack of crocs with that jump towards the top of the bridge by the waterfall that I've seen some people not pull though.
Frost u are the best! I always join ur stream while im boosting at SM but now 180g/h seems nothing. Imma spend time to learn this pull coz why not but imma start skipping the last croc pac so i can evade the LIP on the learning process. Keep up the good work u inspire my gold farming. @17min Backpedal + jump is the consistent way for Female UD to do this jump that i've found. Shorter models have issues being sticky.
Hey i started playing again yesterday after a 6 months break. Today i started practising this tec. After about an hour and lucky patroles and just 2 fops burned i managed to do this. But i fucked up in the end i had 2 tigers left they somehow did manage to come really late and so i needed to kill them too. This took me too long so most of the mops despawned. In the end i got 5 blues coins and 1 green coin from this 85% successful run. This guide is really good explained. Ty for making this i will keep practising. Greetings from DE

You know how to fix the Problem in the Intro? Mobs dont turn around when you jump up, messed up my trys for days now :-/
you need to find the sweetspot. and backpeddle on the line if they keep coming towards you.
If they keep coming at ya - just jump down the water strafe jump over the log and nova the mobs and go back on bridge - thats definitely the easiest and safest to do to avoid dying.
This pull works like a charm. the only thing that sometimes goes wrong is that im adding the berserker on the left side of the stairs leading up to hakkar. im not bodypulling it but they add through either the tigers or crocs walking there. Do you have an idea how i can fix that?

Running into a weird issue. If i get stunned in a run and salvage the run my bridge jump no longer works as if my jump height remains stunted. Happens every time i get stunned in a run but still get them to the bridge

I just came back here to look for comments with the same problem. its like im jumping as Dazed still, really hard to get up on the rope when it happens
@@Sillen95 fun fact. was able to resolve it via noggenfogger minimize proc. resets ur char status.
A lot of those greens will DE into greater eternal essence.

Hi frost, Everything is fine until I got to the jump on the bridge part, I can do the jump but for some reason. 1 to 4 crocs keep coming to me most of the time (while the rest going the other way as expected), do you have any idea why ?

@@sezmajbit7436 try to move back on the rope and take a small strafe to the left. make sure you have RP walk on. it helps every time.

Thanks for the video, really great explanation. Only issue I've had is after I use the lip and run around the corner as you do, I aggro the soulflayer and it kills me. Is that just bad luck with the pat route or am I doing something wrong with the timing? I try to start running as soon as I enter so it's not like I stay on the entrance and waste time or anything like that

Me and a mage from my guild tried to do this farm separately the day after we were in the same raid.
I was in a group with my alt, and he on his alt. We ended up in the same instance despite being in different groups. We had to take turns on farming. 😔
I am aware of that we shared the same ID, because of the raid the day before, but wasn't aware that this was a problem. Haven't heard anyone mention it in any of the videos I've watched. And I also know that is not the focus of these videos, but I just wanted to mention it. Maybe someone has any tips on what we could do differently. It's hard because we almost always raid it as soon as a new ID is available. Maybe I have to level a new mage and provide him with best Eagle-gear available. 😆

If we ignore the ID problem (doing it same time as another mage with the same ID) I talk about in my post, I was able to reset the instance with no problem (when he was offline), and at least the first berserker seemed to be in the same place every time I resetted. But I was still practicing, so can't vouch for the other packs.
But thank you for pointing that out. I need to level another mage so I can keep it in farm-spec all the time, and farm on fresh ID:s all the time. Respeccing for 100 gold every week seems like a big waste.

you can do similar things with other classes too. give a look to Ebbnflow ! he does it with a druid. in BC are some raids were you can farm with a Warlock solo or a Hunter
How do you do the bridge jump without crocs ignoring the new pathing and killing you? I've tried jumping with my back against the rope, jumping at a 45 degree angle, jump strafing with walk on. Nothing works.

@@user-nv8hz7jl5s So I've got the run down to the point where I almost never die now. I was never able to completely prevent this, so what I do is make sure the mobs are slowed 100% of the time. A lot of rank 1 blizzards. If they come toward you on the bridge you'll have time to back up until they go where they should be going. Once you back up enough for the pathing to work properly, that's your new rope spot.
I do everything fine but when it comes to the bridge jump the crocks go for me still even though I made the jump...... why is this not working

Absolute madness
This pull is 100% rng, you may spend hours to get it done perfectly. I tried a lot to execute it that way, but I was able to do it maybe twice; even then I did it with 1 pack less. I either ended up running across the berserker when I pull the pack behind the bridge or the the tigers get messed up the whole thing running wrong direction and hitting me from water even though i was on top of the bridge, or sometimes the crocs kept attacking me even though i was able to jump on the side rope of the bridge. I don't think it is worth the time you spend to be able to pull this off. I go back doing what i was doing before, with less pulls and less deaths.
This run is far from 100% RNG, I tried it out and I managed to do the pull on the first two tries, where on the third I failed a jump, which was on me and not RNG. After that I just have the occassional fails now and then due to simple mistakes.
When you pull the pack behind the bridge, and the Berserker is somehow walking your way, then you can just jump off earlier down on a ledge below and run to end of it and jump towards water that way instead.
There is no vertical distance in classic wow, that's why they're trying to run below to hit you. That's why you need to make sure they all get grouped up and slowed by Blizzard. To avoid the RNG of which side they run to when they run off the bridge you can either keep the going back and forth on the bridge only, not letting them run off it. Or always keep them on left side of the bridge from the start, and never let them run on to the bridge.
For the crocs hitting you, there are certain spots on the rope that will make them able to hit you still. That's why you need to make sure you jump up completely on the rope and not a little bit. So that you're pretty much standing on the left side of it. If they're still running towards you, just backpedal a bit or jump and reposition on the rope.
But if you feel you won't be able to pull it off, then yeah, you're probably better off with smaller pull, if that means you don't die to every pull.
I always die at 6:04 a berserker appears out of nowhere behind me and destroys me

Sometimes the mobs refuse to walk back. You need to backpeddel 2 feet on the rope, that will make em run back.

i somehow love my QWEASD walking. even tho i dont use the A S and D. But sometimes when i casually ride somewhere and use my right hand to drink or eat, i use the A and D.

Frost, even on a fresh I.D I am running into the zerker at 6:15. i don't know if it's becausee my mount is 60% or not. I start immediately upon entering the dungeon, any tips?
i dont get the instance reset to work. the patrols seems totally random :S sometimes theres snakes or troll duo on the first bridge and zerkers are not in the same pos as in ur vid even tho i time it perfectly

how can you prevent the mobs bugging up to the bottom of the temple and pulling the berserker that is next to the stairs leading up to hakkar? this happens so many times and just instant ruins the whole run.

99 times out of 100 I get a random croc or tiger that completely ignores when I jump on the lip and b lines it for me on the bridge anyway. The other 50 mobs will path back like they're supposed to, but one just decides he wants to end me immediately. How do I prevent this and/or recover from it?

This is a very impressive strat and is without a doubt an excellent display of knowledge. That being said I would call this an "exploit" it is very clear that the initial expectation of the mobs as a player should run down the bridge and attack you, the fact that you are jumping up a very short ledge is messing up the A -> B pathing. This isn't like jumping down a level on the boat for VC (A.K.A. DM) where there is a massive jump that is clear, you are moving at most 1/2 a foot of distance. Blizzard should 'fix' this.
Either way fantastic video and clear explanation as always.

@@joshualehman685 Nah, it's working that way, but not as intended. The developer did not build a pathing routine to have it screw up and give easy loot by players jumping up a ledge. However, it's there so we can use it.

is this still the best gold farming method for a mage? been doing DM E lasher runs and want to step it up to something bigger, but there's so many different ZG runs it's hard to pick one.

I keep running into an issue sometimes where when I jump and strafe onto the "rail" of the bridge sometimes the mobs just keep coming instead of turning around. Any idea what's causing/ how to prevent this?

I don't know if race has anything to do with it, but on my gnome there seems to be a very high chance the mobs will not run back up the bridge when i am on the rope. I backpeddal, strafe a little more to the side at the extreme edge of the rope, and they still will not reset.
@@herrpdurrp little late but: this happens when you let the crocs come to close to you before you jump on. If you jump on sooner you will not have this happen nearly as much. I did notice my gnome has this problem far more then my UD.
I’ve tried back peddling on the rope, not letting the crocs get close, but it happens so often even from far away that I must be doing something else wrong but not sure what. I notice if they have rounded the top of the bridge and heading towards me on the bridge, apparently that is still too close? I’ve given it about 20 attempts and all failed because sooner or later a croc will not turn around when I jump up on the rope. Pretty frustrated. Any advice besides not getting too close and back peddling?

How do I reset the instance after a pull ? If I log on my alt and reset it, the mage always spawns on the hearthstone location but not at the entrance of the instance. Any tips how to do this most efficiently ?
What are you using to show the barrier/frostnova time remaining? I assume its a weakaura?

was charged 90g for 5 runs on my warrior. so we're other 3 players in the raid. So basically you might get your money back in 2 - 3 hours.

@@TTrAAsTT I found a "fix". You have to pay close attention to the parts where you have to wait. for example the croc pacs you pull before blinking through the treeroot, you can wait for 1 second there and it'll help group up the tigers and crocs and prevent a de-aggro. However now I am finding myself having to go further back on the bridge than before. It is still doable but weird that the "safespot" suddenly moved back a couple steps. Ah well, 15 year old game and whatnot.
bijus are now like 3-4g on my server and there are HUNDREDS of it on AH, too many mages are doing this. Its only going to get lower and lower. but this is still prob. the best gold per hour grind now i guess

sorry but you’re not making 500g an hour on any server doing this. the max number of leachers is 3 paying 20g each per run at lock out speed is 300g/hr without any deaths. bijous in 5 runs is about 10-50 runs at most. bijous sell for 1.5g so we’re looking at 375g for 5 runs getting 10 bijous per run. including the 1-2 green drops per run which sell for 1-1.5g or you can disenchant them and get 1-2 illusion dust 90% of the time. so all in all with no mess ups and getting the most bijous per run you’re making under 400g per hour. no need to click bait

if u do it perfectly u can almost do it naked , if ur low geared u have to max rank blizzard only on clearcasting proc , still on mage armor , its gonna take time , but u can do it. I may ask if the 100% mount is also required.
I would suggest that you spam scholomance for a day or so to collect the necropile and magister setpieces, these have high intellect/stamina/spirit as well as decent set bonus, perfect for doing this farm
