Mama & Little Neta had a bad cold so daddy was a hero and did the shopping this week. He actually does an amazing job all on his own. Sometimes people ask why I go shopping if Marc is so good at it. I think it's probably because its's fun! Not fun like a merry go round, but fun more like a crossword puzzle. The challenge of finding the right items, seeing what's in stock, what's out of stock. It also inspires me so the next week when I make a list I see the other options & how much they cost. For the kids it's one of their favorite days of the week. The little ones come with us and the older ones usually go busking on Tuesday evening (the night we shop.) Busking helps keep the wheels on with all of the music expenses and especially with audition season which requires extra lessons, recordings, and payments to accompanists, I'm really grateful for the kids' efforts along side Marc and I to keep things afloat in this very challenging economy!

Saturday: Sandwiches, Chips, Juice & Grapes, Dinner: Burritos
Sunday: 🍀 (St. Patrick's Day) Nachos w/ Green Salsa Dinner: Corned Beef & Cabbage w/ Irish Soda Bread
Monday: Tuna Melts, Dinner: Hamburger Stroganoff, Salad, & Bread
Tuesday: Burritos, Dinner: Costco Food (Hot Dogs & Salad)

Marc handled Enoch's "running away" so well. Enoch is so sensitive, and Marc was so sensitive in his reprimanding. Great parenting!❤

Bless Enoch he thought he had seen dad but thankfully dad found him, those are the most scariest moments, dad did a lovely talk to him in such a calming voice that Enoch listened, Moses is so adorable he’s a little chatterbox now so sweet, hope you and Netta are feeling a little better soon, love to you all ❤
I love how Mark explained to Enoch how it was for his safety and he was scared for him. He’s so calm and patient. ❤

Poor little Enoch, he looked rather scared to me, I was a wreck just being out with my two little granddaughters, trying to keep an eye on them, you guys are doing great watching so many kids at once, Mark you explained the reason to stay close by to Enoch so nicely and you’re also a great shopper! Moses is the cutest little guy🥰 he makes me smile. Amber and Neta get well soon. ❤️✌🏻
I have a son and daughter. They both hung on me when we shopped. Enoch is such a sweetheart. I know he realized not to wander off after Marc explained sweetly how serious it was. There are some awful people out there unfortunately. My hubby got a fraud email this week. He came straight to me. I knew it was a scam. I reported it and forwarded the email to the fraud dept. My hubby said I am a little detective 🥸

It quite often happens when a new baby blesses a family. The next in age all of a sudden grows quickly in behaviour and ability. Mo is such a cute little boy and is always so helpful.
Because new York has so many people I always worry about kids safety because here in California at Walmart they tried to take 2 small children out of the store thank God they caught them running with them so scary there fast at taking them always they have a car near by, you were calm at telling your son I hope he realizes how scary it was for you, mark your always an excellent shopper especially with that many kids to keep track of too 😉 😊❤😊😊😊😊😊Chloe and Anna are such great helpers 😊awww mark your such a wonderful husband missing your wife shopping and your a great father too

He is always respectful in choosing the fruit and vegetables in terms of touching it all. It's sad that we have to be careful of what we get to avoid rotten produce. It's the same here in New Zealand, but most of the time we can pick out our own without buying it in a bag where it's hard to see all of it.
Great video mark. If you cook the corn beef in the instant pot it turns out great. We put a mustard and brown sugar glaze on ours. I hope you feel better soon.

Aw thank you! Yes, they are super sweet about staying together, but Enoch saw someone that looked like dad and followed him. I did that too as a little kid. I was an only child. I remember it was at Sea World in San Diego. It’s so scary to be lost!

I was a timid child and was normally clinging to mums skirt but even I ended up holding another mums skirt oncd. It happens and Marco handled it perfectly.

So very happy to hear dad remind Enoch to stay in sight. I haven't commented on this before, but there really isn't safety in numbers when it comes to children. About a year ago, someone tried to take 3 children from a similar grocery store. The oldest ran to get help, and the other two were abducted. Happily, they were quickly located in the parking lot.
It’s dangerous to send them to the food court unsupervised.
I live in a relatively safe country and if I had kids I still wouldn't let them out of my sight. It would be so easy for someone to pick up one of the little kids from the food court and take off. When I was 13 my parents took my sister (15) and I to America. We flew into New York from LA but the flight was delayed and we arrived at midnight. We hadn't eaten in hours so we went to the hotels restaurant to get apple pie but my parents thought it was too expensive so we went in search of somewhere to eat. My dad was a seasoned traveler as his job took him overseas but my mum had only been to one other country. We struggled to keep up and Mum was concerned about the homeless people etc and yelled out to Dad about not feeling safe and we ended up back in the hotel eating apple pie. My parents took my sister and I down to the subway for a look but told us it was too dangerous to use it. This along with movies had me very concerned that Amber and Marco take the kids on the subway and often the kids are either waking quite a bit in front or behind them. Amber is always filming so isn't focusing on the kids. I thought maybe it was just my experience but seeing more people like both of you comment about the dangers I realised it's not just me. I love the family and this is the only thing I see as a bit concerning.

Just fyi, Costco offers a bag Caesar salad that's organic and really delicious, it comes with Parmesan cheese, croutons, and a seasoning packet that makes it taste so good. I think it might be a better bargain than the one in the prepared food section at costco. Love your videos!

Yes, those little markets have just about everything. Even small independent hardware stores and drug stores. Those gas stations and gift shops you find off I95 driving north to south have practically anything you may be looking for.

When I realized Marc called Chole Melody I started laughing, in my family it’s a generational thing that parents mix up their own kids names. We joke it gives you time to run away when you’re in trouble. I’ve absolutely witnessed a couple times of relatives going through a few names and finally just going, “hey you, that one, get over here!” 😂
Hats off to all that have big families I'll will never be able to do What Mark did. That must be stressful. Especially in that big city

We always put a bit of yogurt in with our cereals then the original taste doesn't matter and it's kind of a bit healthier and it's yum!

I remember when my son got away from me at the mall. Around Christmas time. He wasn't far, but that panic is something I remember to this day! He has a baby of his own now , but I sure remember how horrible I felt! So glad it was a happy ending!!! ❤❤

The Irish version of your corned beef & cabbage is boiled bacon and cabbage with potatoes . It is delicious, in my family we make it with champ a northern Irish potato dish. Enjoy your Paddy’s day. ☘️🇮🇪
Yes. I debated on whether to explain the fact that Irish did eat bacon and cabbage. When they came to NYC, the bacon was very expensive and not as readily available. The Jewish area of NYC had the cheaper cuts of meat they brined and preserved… so corned beef was their substitute for their bacon and cabbage.
Wow that’s so interesting! I should have guessed the connection because the local Jewish delis here have prepared corned beef for sale for the st. Patrick’s holiday.
I had a feeling that you were sick Amber. We your fans know your routine and when mom is sick everything changes. I know everyone normally goes to church together on Sunday. You record it then you go somewhere special and I was just wondering where in the world are y’all and what’s going on. I knew in my heart that you were sick. I am so sorry, it’s rough when the mom is sick no matter how many children you have. So thankful you have a wonderful husband as I do as well. I’ve had my husband for 61 years. We are so blessed and in love still. I was sick last week really sick throwing up something I very seldom ever do. It was awful this week. I’m suffering with my back which I do every day but it’s been worse, but I’m hanging in there. My hubby will do the same. He will cook supper tonight last night he went to a place Zesto it’s a place where you can get chicken several different ways or even a hamburger but they specialize in chicken and it is delicious. I normally eat half of mine so I save the other half for tonight. Get well soon I miss seeing you and that precious baby❤❤ so thankful for your wonderful husband Marc😂 who just takes over. I was aways worried something would happen to one of my kids. My boys were not allowed to get off our street without permission. We lived on a dead end so for the most part it was only neighbors that came through. I was also more concerned for them after an incident that happened in our town. A 10 year old little girl rode her bicycle to the mall and disappeared. That was in 1983. She has never been found. So I was overly protective of my kids. My oldest made a comment one day that he wasn’t allowed off our street until he was 16. I laughed and said it wasn’t that bad. He laughed and said close.
Yes, it’s nerve wracking… but worth the extra effort. My girls want to go to the park but I have them take one of their big brothers with them. I think being in a group helps deter predators. I’m grateful the kids have a built in group. You rarely see children playing outside anymore, but I understand why.
I remember you saying Pearl ran in Central Park. The bad gangs of illegal migrants now here, are getting young girls. I worry about all of the young people traveling alone in NYC. Im glad they out the national guard in subways. I know someone who just got called up. They don’t know where they are going. Reminds me of when Biden called my son in may and by July he was in afghanistan for a year deployment during bidens withdrawal. I knew something bad was coming… things are always in the works before us grains of sand hear about them.

my kid went to costco with a co-worker (3-13-2024)..WOW 17 items and spent $147.10 unreal! yes, it for large household items but... it is insane how much groceries cost.
Instead of the dollar store, it's the $100 Store!
I have a five month supply of toilet paper for myself right now. I have been slowly buying all of the paper products that I can like the toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex and other household products so that I am not totally caught off guard like I was at the start of covid. I too price point toilet paper, lol. And by watching your video's I have decided to incorporate trying to buy one food magazine with lots of recipes or one cookbook each month to start trying to branch out into new foods. God Bless💞💞💞💞

it's adopted in the eastern side of Canada as well (corned beef and cabbage) usually with potato and root veg added - the Akkadian version "A Jiggs Dinner". So yummy and so simple to make.

I live in Europe and I prefer my groceries to be delivered at my door😅. We have good customer care linie and I can even get them free delivered sometimes,with a small fee to the delivery person.
The fee here is really expensive, but everything in this city is haha!
@@TheHappyCaravanI think Whole Foods has a flat fee of $10. They also don’t Mark the items up like Costco does with instant cart. I’ve used them a few times when we were sick and during the pandemic. Their service is better than instacart and the items are packed with care. The cold things are in insulated bags.
Hope Dear Chloe has seen a Dr. Her limp was really bad in this video and I felt for her having to walk thru all those stores.
