To deposit 189gp, wouldn't it be faster to: 1. withdraw 1gp [190gp] 2. withdraw 10gp [200gp] 3-6. deposit 50gp four times? Six steps? Edit: Doesn't seem like you can deposit 100gp at a time. (it'd be four steps in that case)
I just recorded an episode of a 2009scape let's play!! I'm going to wait a bit before posting it and recording more, but that server is SO on my to-do list!!
Glad people preserved classic. While I get it isn't really popular enough for Jagex to keep investing in it, it is nice to still be able to play it. I normally hate Private servers, because they are normally insta level servers full of meaningless junk, but preservation servers like this, with no dumb changes I am all for. Kinda makes me wonder if they made Old Oldschool like this, if people would want it or not. Honestly if they did re-relase classic, I wouldn't want any major changes. I do get why Oldschool is frequently updated, it's because the game is essentially the alternate version, of what if MTX, the graphics overhaul, and EoC didn't release, but with classic, the legit only reason I want to play is for Nostalgia. It wouldn't really make sense to add more content, past what was in the game before Rs2, outside of maybe some scrapped quests or content they maybe had planned. Honestly, with these private servers, Jagex doesn't need to bother. At this point, I would almost just like a offline version on GoG, or Steam that you can play singleplayer, with an option to host a game to play with friends if you want.
I miss these days of no game audio. I still play osrs to this day with no audio because I started before audio was added, and when they did add it. It was off by default for me. It wasn't until rs2 that I ever heard any sounds or music and I turned it off very quickly and continued playing in silence to this day. Only turning it on for boss ques. PS There shouldn't be any runite in the game because the rocks were deep wilderness, and wild isn't in the game I dont think. If it is then rune rocks are the 2 north of lava maze where they have always been.
Do you play music in the background or a livestream or something instead? Or do you really prefer to play in silence? And if so, why? I’m genuinely interested!
All that clicking is why auto-clickers/auto-miners were created. People loved the game but it was super tedious and yes ore regeneration is slower but you can get into a good rhythm after a while. If i remember corrrectly tin and copper are ideally timed if you have to walk 1 step hit the rock then walk back to hit the other rock. Also i believe higher ores have longer regen timers
At some point they added a prospect option on right click and it would say ore currently unavailable or something similar if it was on regen timer. Or it would say what ore if you had high enough mining level and ore was in it
I actually love seeing this version of the game. I've only ever heard rumors about it... so actually seeing it is awesome! Definitely looks like way too demanding on constant focus for my liking XD Do the prayers do anything in this game mode?
are there any clients like runelite for open rsc? I've heard about the original RSC having some client that increases visibility and enables move camera movement... is that feasible here too?
Shouldnt be any rune equipment in the game yet. And yea the 65 smithing is only good for mith and not even all of it i think 66 for either mith greatshield or platelegs and 68 for platebody

There are 2004Scape, 2006Scape, and 2009Scape preservation private servers available right now!
Also OpenRSC supports singleplayer and self-hosting! You should join the Discord if you're interested :)

You can also make all kinds of custom tweaks on your own server! It's surprising how configurable they are!
