I never really played Runescape back in the day. As a kid around the time Runescape was kicking off I was 11 and spending all my time on the fourms like neopets trying to get bitches. I missed out on some peak early MMO computer gaming. The last couple of days I've been absolutely knocking out videos from Colonello learning all about the interesting stuff I missed out on! Looking forward to keeping this on while im working today

I heard that in the first few weeks of RuneScape you could drink beer without a strength cap, so you could drink like 20 beers, get your strength in the 70s or beyond while your attack was still low, and then PKrs would go on a rampage.

good old classic, was 2002 when i first discovered this and subsequently lost my teenage years :D

I think the scholastic RS guidebook came out 2005 or 2006. It helped me with early RSC back when they reopened in 2010 because it was a comprehensive guide to the F2P game at least.

Fun tidbit - So 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything. But they didn't have the question - which canonically turned out to be what is 6 times 9, which was revealed in the BBC tv series and 6 times 9 does equal 42 if you do it in Base 13 instead of Base 10 like our normal math is done in - to account for life, the universe and everything.

For the record, I played halo more than any other game save for RS too. Probably have 70 days in just mcc, infinite, and halo 5 and who knows how many in the 360 halos. RuneScape I don’t even want to know…

I love how you're actively roleplaying the idea of you being a hired blacksmith to arm Varrock with Steel Shortswords as your motivation to get that 40,040gp for the Addy Plate. Good thing is, without any Attack requirements, every citizen and merchant can arm themselves with said swords to fight off the Darkwizards just south of the walls of the city.

I need the next episode, please!! Also: my interpretation on the rules and the character sheet, is that persuasion is not necessarily always Thieving + Intellect. For instance: If you want to convince someone that eating apples is healthier than eating cabbages, you could make a Farming + Intellect test. Or if you wanted to convince the sage that you're not suggesting anything, but actually, you think that he could be interested in that letter, you could have rolled Intellect + Archeology. Does that makes sense? :D
