LK-150 Needle Beetle needle selector - making Tuck Stitch on LK150 knitting machine.

- Kriskrafter has something new for the LK-150, LK-140, LK-100 users.
It's called the Needle Beetle needle selector. Here is a demonstration showing how to do a tuck stitch. (this is a simple 1x1 tuck)
The Needle Beetle needle selector selects needles and pushes them in to "D" position so that you can then perform Tuck, Slip, Lace, Fairisle, etc. You hand select the first 8 needles in to the arrangement you want, then push the Needle Beetle across the needle bed and it will select the rest of the needles lickety spilt! Yes, this is similar to the old LS6 but a couple differences: first mine is all made in the U.S., not overseas, and secondly the old LS6 selected the needles only to "C" position - you had to then push them manually to "D" position.

The Needle Beetle will work on the 6.5mm LK-150, LK-140 (and also, I believe the Japanese machine GK-370), as well as the 9mm LK-100.

Kris, this little device is going to be a Godsend. I am frequently interrupted when I am at the machine, there's nothing I can do about that unfortunately, and I am always looking for devices and procedures that will help me resume my knitting without errors until I get back into the rhythm of things. Thank you again for bringing this little lifesaver to market. I consider my LK-150 as perfection in itself -- it's not a "starter" machine for me, but more like my rigid heddle loom, imposing its own inherent limitations of course but so full of potential for creative hand-produced fabric. My fondest hope is that someone will find a way to bring the LK-150's fair isle carriage back to market, and if that person is you, please put me on your waiting list. :-) After you get over your experiences bringing the Needle Beetle to market of course. Thank you again.

Os it able to select needles for patterns OTHER THAN needles for tuck syitch
Oh yes! for tuck, slip, fairisle, lace, and weaving. In fact if you search "Needle Beetle" here on TH-cam you will find Diana Sullivan's video demo-ing the Needle beetle. Midway thru the video she shows slip stitch. Also you'll find a french video showing needle beetle being used with lace. I am sure more will make videos over time as this is still pretty new. :)

sorry no, it doesn't. We are looking in to it to see if we can adjust parts to make it work on other machines, but for now, no.
