Even tho I don’t have this type car, I saw a couple with the same car struggling to pull that thing off their car but it wasn’t working so I asked for their car name to search about it to help them out than i saw this video and helped them out they were so thankful and I felt so good knowing it and being able to help them out and they couldn’t do it themself since it was their first time charging at a charging station 😄Thank you for this video!
I hit unlock on the fob a zillion times and had to use the emergency release inside the car. There is a round cap that unscrews a quarter turn and you can pull on a rubber handle to get it to release. That was the only way I could get mine released. My EV6 also gets cranky about letting go from fast chargers as well but not as bad as the V2L.
Two things to try. First, there is a “open charge door” button inside the vehicle. Press that and if should unlock. Secondly, in the EV menu, there is a setting that locks the charge cable in place automatically. Set that to OFF and you will always be able to remove the adapter or cable.

Was in the same position last night with my Ioniq 5. Had to lock and then unlock the car but it would not lock because the bonnet was open
