i doubt it looks like that. We know what rayleigh meant by invisible armor now so it does not rule out hardening being visible. That and Hyogoro comments on Luffy’s “fiery appearance”
I'm always down for a Haki video!! Such an interesting power system. For the longest I wondered why pirates and marines don't infuse haki into their rifles or bullets, but I think someone actually proved they can or just some of them. Can't wait to finish the video!
Gotta think about how to balance the story with a power that anyone can learn. It’s best to consider that it’s a power built on the reflective quality of the human being and the stress they go through. This involves every aspect their including their minds and emotions. This data is transferred either through observation less material or physical more material. Ya know which Rayleigh speaks of. So with this being said, minds would easily pan to why certain beyond the point of plot, would have such potent haki as their birth rite. Because physical lineage and/or spiritual lineage. But then there is Koby which we assume he has special lineage, but we don’t know this and mind you the way One Piece reveals its twisting world of fate is that there are different methods or catalysts that can provide insight and drive for someone to receive the necessary stress they need to overcome to put them on the map of utilizing haki. So my point is this headcannon must be used, so make sense of a power so neutral that anyone can harness it. But haki fr is just been fleshed out better, Haki is just like Ki from Dragon ball and dragon ball z. And essentially everyone has Zenkai boost especially those that have the stronger wills, they recover and get stronger as if in the multiples. Luffy and Zoro are great examples of course. Also check out when Brook and Luffy drank milk and their bones healed, perfectly example of the vitality factor in play, which is also propelled by another form of haki (in my opinion).
The best way to see advanced conquers Haki is the old classic saying of “Bending objects to your Will.” It’s not a matter of direct contact but just being close to them that can force you to break from their will alone.
@@stutterjones1821 A little of no. Adv. Haki allows the user to admit someone or something with their Haki. Think of it like coating your weapon with it, but in combat, it's used to destroy the target from within. Almost like how a air tank becomes unstable in a low preassure area.
Maybe or maybe not. My line of reasoning is that they are pacifistas, technically artificial cyborgs. They don't exactly have willpower of their own. But some examples like s. Snake going against her orders because of Hancock's feelings for Luffy may prove otherwise
@@El_Eon_Yeah, but were the Pacifictas simply robots, or also Cyborg Androids, the Seraphims are obviously more like Androids in my opinion. The Seraphims seems like actual biological being, the pacifictas did not.
I'm of the opinion That negating the abilities of devil fruits on oneself is reliant on just one's Haki and not a specific application of it. It's never specifically stated or implied that it's Armament or conquerors Haki are the necessary applications to ignore the effects of devil fruit abilities. It might just be how powerful one's Haki is
Yeah, it seems to me to be the case that by chapter 1 oda already had some sort of will-based power in mind. I doubt he had armament or anything of the sort in mind, or else he'd never have let shanks lose that arm. But, I dont think that oda did that scene thinking shanks merely intimidated the sea king
I completely understand where you're coming from and to be fair I can't say whether or not Oda did have an idea of what Armament haki would be by the first chapter but the reason why he had Shanks give up his arm is because Shanks literally bet it on the new generation
one piece theory: i think the perception of the voice of all things is the color combo of conquerors haki and observaion haki, with conquerors making up 2/3rds or more of that combo
This is what I've been telling people, haki is not spiritual energy. Not all power systems require spiritual energy. Haki is more similar to the force in starwars in that regard
Great video , we also know that spiritual energy and soul are two different things in op, so it's not soul related either and more so willpower like oda been saying
@@El_Eon_ I think 🤔 it's more of sensed like how one senses heat but only those with observation haki can sense it subtly and ordinary people can only feel it due to its effect around them especially for conquerors haki
@@NintendoSegaGuys none of the information Ive read hints at this. The admirals used emission which is an advanced Armament Haki to divert Whitebeard's attack in Marineford.
what vegappunk said about devilfruits means that both haki and df's are forms of condensed will. that fitas so well and is so damn romantic, oda delivers every time.
Here's my biggest contention with Haki. How should we view Ace vs Blackbeard? Blackbeard is obviously a user of armament considering he can hit Ace at times without him needing for Ace to be stuck in the Vortex grip. But is Ace using haki? Do any of them use the advanced versions of armament or observation in the fight? Did Ace learn to control his Conqueror's haki? Can he use the advanced version? Initially the fight appeared to be a Devil Fruit vs Devil Fruit match, but considering Ace and Blackbeard are high level combatants from the New World, haki use should probably be accounted for, right? Like, I'll be honest, the final clash of Ace vs Blackbeard could range from purely devil fruit power clashing to advanced Conquerors infusion stacked with advanced armament internal destruction, and we would be none the wiser to which it truly is.
1 thing I think it implied in 937 that imbument and emission (excluding internal destruction) are the same thing. Hyogoro says "STRAW HAT FELLOW! In wano too, there a invisible power that stems from the body and can be fused into the blade" this isn't limited to swords as we know from road to laughtale vol 2 blades can be any weapon or named weapon. It seems like imo hardening is ryuo but limited to the body while emission is when you're starting to put your haki outside of the body whether it be the air or your weapon which I also believe flying slashes are emission as shown in 955 and 1002 by enma forcing zoro to cut the coastline with a flying slash and enma turning flying dragon blaze into a flying slash. Internal destruction seems to be emission with the added effect of ignoring/bypassing external defenses. Also for FS wasn't katakuri able to hear bege sentences while looking into the future? maybe pudding was too far for katakuri to hear her.
I always assumed haki was just a combination of willpower/spirit energy. So essentially one in the same, considering “will” and “spirit” are synonymous with each other. I just feel like it’d make more sense if it was also a type of energy rather than straight “willpower”. Especially since users can get exhausted from using haki. Or how enma can drain a users haki and render them a husk. In those regards, I’d say it’d make more sense if there was some “energy” aspect to it rather than only willpower. At least for armament and advanced conquerors haki, not so sure about observation haki. Although, the fact that when you sense other people’s haki you can see a silhouette of them and what seems to be some type of energy which is their “spirit” as Ussop said. Imo, I’d like to think that the creation of haki was just Oda’s own unique way of “spiritual energy”. Maybe he didn’t wanna outright use his power system as spiritual energy, considering it’s a common trope within anime. Who knows though 🤷♂️ Those are just my thoughts, I’m done yappin now 🙃
Zoro already had haki from a advanced level, it is almost essential for swordsmen, the cuts in the air became haki cuts, literally that is why it is so common in wano, the country of samurai
I already knew well the 3 types of haki. But I like to watch this kind of videos anyway to refresh myself. You presented most of the examples about haki, but I think there are a couple more, for example, Rob Lucci Rokuogan, and Zoro's master demonstration of Haki. Also, Zoro unlocked Kenbunshoku for a moment during Mr. 1 fight, that's why he felt the voice in any object and his sword. Thanks ❤
There could definitely be more examples, I just felt like the video would be a lot longer than I initially wanted to be if I did add them. However, the one I don't think really works is the Rob Lucci Rokuogan since it isn't stated anywhere that it is a haki ability to begin with, it is a six Powers which is completely separate.
Back again, I just realized emission and internal destruction sound the same but just applied differently. It seems you can use the techniques in tandem or separate. Like when Luffy punched Kaido with ACH. He used advanced conquerors haki, with emission to punch kaido without touching, and using internal destruction to go through his scales. I know Kaido said during the gear 5th fight he said Luffy was using like 3 forms of advanced haki at the same time with his devil fruit abilities. Rayleigh used emission without internal destruction on the elephant. Idk If luffy used emission of the tree when he punched it. Or is internal destruction just another application of emission?
This is probably the most entertaining explanation of a piwersystem i have ever watched. I might be exegerating but this covers so much detail tha i just wonder how much research you did to make this video.NICELY DONE
I wrote a novel here, but I needed all of this for my evidence sorry in advance. I think haki is visible, but only if you have appropriate mastery of observation haki. If it wasn't visible, big mom probably couldn't have told kaido to dodge zoro's attack. Working on a "Doesn't have unless shown or stated" viewpoint, she doesn't have advanced observation so she would only be able to sense aura and intent. Something about zoro's aura would have had to look different because if haki was completely invisible even to observation users and she can't see the future, she'd have no way of knowing that he unconsciously used conqueror's coating since we know you can't read unconscious actions with basic observation. Keep in mind that although conquerors haki can be felt by everyone, that's only if it's expressed outwards rather than specifically coated. Also, it's been stated that Shank's observation killing ability is a conquerors haki technique involving controlling ones aura, meaning that it is controlling what someone sees using their own observation haki. Now, if it is visible why didn't Luffy, Kid or Law immediately know about conquerors coating even though it should be clearly visible? 1. Both Luffy and Kid were probably blitzed and one tapped by Kaido during their first encounter. Hard to see a technique when it knocks your lights out before you can react 2. Kaido and Big Mom probably constantly use a low level of conquerors haki to maintain their incredible durability. Even though haki can run out, a slow burn can probably be maintained indefinitely, especially with mastery of it. This would mean that their aura would look "normal" even though there is probably a visible difference in color between busoshoku and conqueror (I would imagine that a simultaneous use blends the two colors together) 3. It would seem that haoshoku haki itself is difficult to see, as when cracker intimidated the nearby homies and caused them to wither, luffy thought it was conquerors, but at this point in the story he hadn't progressed his observation haki much. Haoshoku and Busoshoku haki probably look extremely similar. (Although this is not a reliable source, it technically tracks with people still not being able to tell between conquerors and armament in the anime lmao) 4. If conquerors constantly had the same pressure it does when you use it to knock weaker people out, kaido and big mom would be constantly K.Oing their crew. Using coating is self contained and isn't felt the same way as outwardly expressing it. This also further shows that haki has to be visible on some level, as I doubt big mom would be able to directly feel a coating of conquerors from that distance. Now it's entirely possible that haki can only be felt, but this is contradicted by both forms of observation haki. You can use it to hear what your opponent is saying from the future, meaning that observation haki adds extrasensory information directly to your normal senses. Katakuri was also unable to hear what Sanji said to pudding due to distance, meaning that the information is also relative to how the user would have experienced it. It can be inferred that Advanced Observation is like watching a movie. It's also shown in manga that seeing their spirit with base observation can be taken literally. It wouldn't make sense that their spirit can be seen but the haki originating from that spirit cannot be. Now to clear up the last loose end; Invisible haki usage and black coating both existing. The black coating we see is specifically when armament:hardening is used. Considering that it is a named technique, it can be inferred that applying hardening and just using armament haki is two different things. It may well be that normal armament is "invisible" simply because the denser the coating is, the more visible it becomes. So even if the user is strong, because they used a very low density application it's not easily if at all visible, whereas the dense hardening is clearly visible. There is an alternate explanation to all of this; haki is normally invisible but coating anything in any type of haki makes it visible. Regular armament is invisible because you aren't coating your arm directly, you're just activating the haki in that area. TL;DR: Skin tone G4 is cursed and I will argue to hell and back that haki is somehow visible so G4 doesn't have to look completely goofy
It takes TWO WHOLE YEARS to learn haki omg Wait a minute, it takes FOUR years for any degree, without counting a master degree or a doctorate 100% more time Lmao People take like 10-15 years to master an instrument I could go on, but I made my point
Well two years for the basics. The advanced versions it appears you're gonna have to enter many life or death battles just to have the chance to push your limits. Standard shounen stuff really.
Yes and no. The Force has a pretty wide application like telekinesis and force chokes and some mind manipulation. But it's possible whatever stats boosting effects the Force has isn't as high as Haki. It doesn't really need stats boosts when you have lightsabers that can cut almost anything easily, so it's more a skill match up than a beat down like One Piece.
I don't like the concept of you having to be born with Conqueror's Haki and more so working hard to get it. And I think it was implied that you need to be born with it, not explied*.

I argue that Armament actually has two mechanisms to it's solidification against Logias. There's unfortunately only one piece of evidence I can remember, but it does showcase my argument pretty well. I argue that armament haki solidifies a logia user's body and grants them the ability to hit the true body of the user allowing Logias to take proper damage. The solidification and true hit capability are separate functions, but used together in armament haki. In the brief encounter Apoo and Kizaru had in Sabaody, Apoo was able to "cut" Kizaru's hand off and then blow apart his body. This shows that Apoo's fruit has this special ability to interact with an opponent's body as if it's solid 100% of the time, meaning Apoo can bypass the intangibility barrier of a Logia user. However, since it wasn't Haki infused, the attacks still do zero damage since it lacks the true hit capability, and Kizaru can just reform like nothing happened. Out of every attack Kizaru has taken so far, nothing has been able to replicate Apoo's effects, this dismembering of an intangible Logia user's body without damage being done to the real body. Again, it's only one example in the whole story, but it does land some credence to the argument.
@@El_Eon_love the video❤ I wanted to add something about advanced observation haki When *BASIC* observation haki is used, it's written that the person *ANTICIPATED OR SENSED* an incoming attack When *ADVANCED* observation haki is used, it written that the person is *READING AND SEEING* attacks before they happen, this is stated by Katakuri And if you look at Sandersonias fight with Luffy, Luffy and Sandersonia state that Sandersonia is in fact *READING* Luffys attacks This is proof that Sandersonia is an advanced observation haki user
Conqueror’s haki can be trained, it just can’t be made stronger through training. Using it to gain more control is training it, so if you couldn’t train it every use of it would relentlessly knock out anyone nearby the user.
ok idk who all will see this but i got this theory right! and major spoilers for the egghead island arc too!! ya done? awesome ok so basically dr vegapunk said that all things in this world are born out of desire!! including the devil fruits! "i wish to be like that, i wish to be like this!" etc etc! each fruit is just a power someone desires for! being able to change into a elephant, a leopard, being able to become living magma! or having a body made of rubber! all of that! but here's the thing!! it's loathed by mother nature, aka the sea, because it's a unnatural evolution, which one makes me think that the sea itself is living to a degree, and has exTREME desire and distaste, too sucha degree it outright destroys, weaken, or be rid of all devil fruit users just by being knee deep in water! and further more!! what if haki is desire manifested!? think about it, will power is desire, at least close enough! for example one of the cocky logia user's! you'd want to inflict as much harm and as much damage to someone who just ignores that damage! and as the desire grow's, and the will power to ether destroy- or protect, grows stronger too, maybe it manifest as a destructive force that inflicts said harm upon another! even works with armament or infusing haki into weapons and objects! your wanting the weapon to strike true and inflict as much harm as possible, it is your desire, you want it, so you can ether destroy your enemy's or protect your friends! whichever your motive is! in a sense almost everyone in the one piece verse is a reality bender of sort, if my theory is remotely correct- XD
I wouldn't say willpower is desire, not even close it. More like it's antithesis? Counterpart? It's more that one can temper and control their desires through willpower and discipline. That's how Haki is learned and developed compared to say eating a fruit and gaining godlike powers based on what fruit you get. In my head, it's less that the desire to hurt using Haki, but more that Haki suppresses the "desires" of the Devil Fruit power itself, making even the intangible Logias tangible for example. And when seen in conjunction with Kaido's statement that "a devil fruit user cannot conquer the world, only Haki can," it fits pretty well.
@@msaag5490 but at the end of the day it's still somewhat 'desire' right?? like there's some assortment of wishing, strong desire, and manifesting your ability to hurt logia's am i right?
@@unknowncrafter7828 Well, in the way you describe it, ambition would fit. Ambition just being your desires in a more disciplined manner, which is another translation for haki. I see where you're going with it, it hits at the heart of the themes surrounding the power system of One Piece. Which is a clever way of looking at how Haki interacts with Devil fruits.
@@msaag5490 ye! there's still like LOTS of room too interpret it, but the overall goal here is to get people too take what vega punk said, about people manifesting/dreaming or wishing there desired powers into reality, and combine that with the idea of haki! it isn't so much of proving who's right or wrong or like 'my theory is better by default and everyone else is wrong' no i just wanna state there's clearly a connection between these two! we just gotta connect the dot's!
So I wanted to ask you, seeing as you've done extensive research on One Piece. Do you think Luffy could beat Plastic Man? I mean in one hand Plastic Man can probably outspeed Luffy, on the other hand Luffy can probably one tap Plastic Man due to Haki.
That's probably a question. I'm not the most fit to answer because I'm not a big comic book guy, aware of how insane plastic man is as even Superman and the other members of the Justice League were on edge when he showed up in the injustice timeline. That being said, I don't actually think Luffy has any method to beat him. I'm also not sure about how fast he is so I'll just take your word for it that he could probably speed blitz Luffy but Even then, I'm not sure as to how he could actually beat Luffy considering the damage that Luffy can take.
I think I would maybe give it to Plastic Man, only because he can do rather scary things. The fact he could probably make himself thin enough to get inside Luffy's nose or mouth, then inflate enough to stop his breathing is already too much. Or mess his organs up itself, frankly Plastic Man can do a lot.
@@msaag5490 I don't think plastic man can inflate himself indefinitely to the point Luffy can't expand as well. And his body especially in Gear 5 would probably make it so that messing with his organs by stretching them or trying them together isn't as effective as one might think but idk plastic man like that either. Also how fast is he if he can outspeed Luffy?
@@El_Eon_ I'm just like you, I don't know the physical stats of plastic man. So I can't tell you how fast he is. Maybe Luffy can resist plastic mans very literal internal organ attacks, but I honestly just gave it to Plastic Man cause him being able to do just that gives me the chills. Imagine plastic man using Luffy's esophagus like a stringed instrument.
Great video you explained the applications of Haki pretty well, only thing I'm really questioning is the spiritual energy thing. The way vs battle explained how haki is spiritual energy kinda helped things make click and sense to me, if it ain't spiritual energy I'm cooked 🤣 I give up 😭
It's just a "translation. The wording as I said doesn't say it is spiritual energy but allows one to sense it. Other translations use other words that don't imply it is "spiritual" but they are all synonymous with the term "presence".
I'm in the belief that Haki is visible or at least Luffy's is. I hear a lot that it isn't visible to people and is only a visual indicator to readers but it is called or translated to "Colour of Arms/Observation/The Supreme King", but if it isn't I'd really like to believe only Luffy's would be visible because his devil fruit, in the vein of Red Hawk or his Gear 4th/Snakeman tattoos, literally colours the spots he covers in Haki because he believes it should be visible
Haki being able to negate devil fruits on themselves was something I thought would be possible since the time skip Someone with that high lv of Haki would even be immune to dangerous fruits like the Hobi Hobo no mi Personally, I always felt even before Haki, the way Oda wrote the story, there would be someway those with no Devil fruits or less powerful ones can still make it to the top Haki confirmed that
I would like to add the case of Gecko Moria, a man who most likely had all 3 types of haki at one point but lost it all or most of it because he lost the thing haki relies on, his will. If he ever comes back into the story (alive) he's most likely going to exhibit usage of haki since he's not in his safe bubble of sadness anymore and has to actually get involved and keep his remaining crew alive
How come you did not mention armament haki being referred as ryou in wano similar to how observation haki is referred to as mantra on skypeia? Yes, hyogoro does state that ryou is a synonym for haki, but when he was training luffy, the type of haki he was training him in was armament haki specifically, the advanced application, not any other form of haki. Observation, armament, and conquerors all fall under the umbrella of the term haki, and when using this term in a discussion you or anyone are talking about all three types in general except if there is a distinction that needs to be made. I bring this up to your attention because the one piece wiki refers to "ryou" as armament haki regardless of advanced application. Besides that question I would like to ask you if you thought that law used haki (will power) to reverse the affects of Doc Q's sick sick fruit or did you think he used armament haki as a form of defense instead?
That might have been a mistake on my end. I wrote the script a few weeks ago but couldn't do the voice recording until last week and I was working on another video so it may have flown over my head. As for the law question, It might just be an application of Haki on its own. It's never explicitly stated whether kaido and big mom could ignore certain devil fruit abilities because of Armament haki or just Haki itself, So I came to the conclusion that it might just be Haki on its own because there is usually some kind of identification throughout the series. Since there wasn't any indication of hardening and law doesn't know emission or internal destruction then it leads me to believe that it is only an application of Haki itself.

Bro keep believing and trusting that your views will rise higher, You are sheesh amazing in quality of content, keep it up🙏🙏🙏.
This is what I've been telling people, haki is not spiritual energy. Not all power systems require spiritual energy. Haki is more similar to the force in starwars in that regard
Great video , we also know that spiritual energy and soul are two different things in op, so it's not soul related either and more so willpower like oda been saying
Nice guide of Haki.
Thank you! There was a lot more nuance to it than I first thought
Where Is It explained that in order to make a black Blade you Just have to constantly pour haki into It?
Nice if only oda and toei were consistent in depicting haki
Yeah, I wish we knew if it was 100% invisible or not
That annoys me a little, it's a failure in visual storytelling
@@El_Eon_ I think 🤔 it's more of sensed like how one senses heat but only those with observation haki can sense it subtly and ordinary people can only feel it due to its effect around them especially for conquerors haki
It is visible there are just different levels, I don't think it's that hard to pick up on.
Light application = non-visible
Heavy application = visible
I see what you're doing. You're making this video so that you can refer to it in the future whenever you power scale a one piece character 😁🤫
🤐
Who knows though 🤷♂️
Those are just my thoughts, I’m done yappin now 🙃
I hate how mangakas always say “this is so the readers can see it” nah just say haki is black. It’s demon slayer all over again 😂
Yeah it makes things a bit more complicated.
Can wait for Imu's conq haki 😊
They're two different applications of CoA. Luffy used internal destruction on the tree
Such a good video, I rly enjoyed how u explain it😁

This is probably the most entertaining explanation of a piwersystem i have ever watched. I might be exegerating but this covers so much detail tha i just wonder how much research you did to make this video.NICELY DONE
I did A LOT of research 😂
Hard to see a technique when it knocks your lights out before you can react
2. Kaido and Big Mom probably constantly use a low level of conquerors haki to maintain their incredible durability. Even though haki can run out, a slow burn can probably be maintained indefinitely, especially with mastery of it. This would mean that their aura would look "normal" even though there is probably a visible difference in color between busoshoku and conqueror (I would imagine that a simultaneous use blends the two colors together)
3. (Although this is not a reliable source, it technically tracks with people still not being able to tell between conquerors and armament in the anime lmao)
I will buy into this theory just so I can also avoid skin tone Gear 4. While I am being facetious, this is a pretty good theory.
It takes TWO WHOLE YEARS to learn haki omg
Wait a minute, it takes FOUR years for any degree, without counting a master degree or a doctorate
100% more time Lmao
People take like 10-15 years to master an instrument
I could go on, but I made my point
Well two years for the basics. The advanced versions it appears you're gonna have to enter many life or death battles just to have the chance to push your limits. Standard shounen stuff really.
Awsome video! This is the most thorough video abou haki I've seen!
So Haki is the Force from star wars, but much OP

Run up this subs!!!

ok idk who all will see this but i got this theory right! and major spoilers for the egghead island arc too!!
ya done? awesome ok so basically dr vegapunk said that all things in this world are born out of desire!! including the devil fruits!

Haki confirmed that
Very good video but I'm gonna throw this theory out there before someone takes it, funitora is a clone of the one dude in the 5 elders

Nope, just my main focus as of now but I'll be making videos on other anime like JJK and Naruto
It seems to me that advanced CoC is used to hurt not just the body, but the very will of the oponent, thus the exponential damage increase
My head cannon for the visibility of haki is that it’s like nen from hunter x hunter where you can see it if you are well enough versed in haki

whitebeard is pretty much the guy who won the champions league and people ignore it
he is canonically confirmed as the strongest with the ONLY contenders being imu, kaido and potentially joyboy and xebec but only kaido has enough information surrounding him to make a valid point and imu is simply the final villain its mandatory that he/she will be at least on primebeard's level
