Somebody tell me why drive manufacturers (all of them!) don't spend an extra 5 bucks for a full display. These alphanumeric displays suck with all the functionality these drives have!
Hi Andy, Actually they give you the choice. The built-in display is usually minimalistic because these drives often go in cabinets or out on production floors where the display is rarely used, so why spend the money. They also usually offer an advanced alphanumeric display which makes accessing all the features way easier. It's offered as a remote display so you can buy just one to commission the drives without having to spend that money on every drive.
