Awesome video, Paddy. Bar 5 reminded me of one I visited in Singapore that you had to find the entrance behind a cooler inside a convenience store then walk up 3 floors of unlit stairway to get to the door.

Spontaneous beings always thrill me because they’re in the now responding and Note’s answering the phone was brilliant! Thank god for our camera lights!!! Well phones really... as an retired bartender, these drinks evoke a ‘what were you smokin when you came up with this?!?!😝😝😝 I DO however love to live on the edge and do have adventure in my ol bones but yeah, I DID wince upon hearing mustard 😯 anyway travel on my friend so enjoyable observing 👀😃🙏🏻❤️🔥

I’ve lived in Thailand 7 years now and have rode my motorbike everywhere from Yala to Chaing Mai and I’m looking forward to your upcoming adventure. However, I would not recommend your going on your old 125cc scooter. I don’t think safe or comfortable. I used my Honda Forza and had a great time with no troubles. Great Vlog paddy D . Looks like Chang Mai is trying to get back to it’s roots. Many moons ago it was full of cocktail/ jazz bars

I generally skip bars unless I'm only looking for karaoke or piano bars. But, those you showed looked nice - atmospheric and cozy.

If I need a beer between cocktails, I would chose a good craft beer. Btw., there are also very nice craft beer bars in the city where you can chose between hundreds of beers from all over the world, like the "Renegade" near the Tha Phae Gate.

When I was in Chiang Mai, I ended up in a real speakeasy bar. Met some Thais in a club called Las Vegas and they took me to what looked like someone's house. Inside was a snooker table with red seating all around and all of the staff were ladyboys. Had a great night in there until the early hours...5555 :)

Felt claustrophobic just watching this. Nightlife in Chiang Mai is pretty limited, even before COVID. I’ve felt more hostility from Thais recently, like you did at that second bar. Nice video
