POV you aren’t a fan of WRXs but you’re a fan of yours. STI isn’t a car it’s a brand name company that Americans confuse for a car because of the way it’s marketed in the US. Those VBs make more power on their stock block and for less $$ and are better balanced with a tighter gear ratio and significantly less turbo lag. The FA24 in the VB hands down blows EJs out of the water, something guys who are into WRXs understand. People who buy old STIs for the name and the sound of the UEL headers are the people that blow them up out of ignorance.

Ive driven many old and newer subarus, i hate anything above 2014 for the wrx/sti and anything above 09 for the rest.
I’m don’t hold that opinion as strong as you but I definitely agree for the most part. 2007 is the last Sti that felt like a “sports car” to me
subarus died with this gen. all modern subaru owners a just virgins that liked baby driver. Zero car knowledge.
