- Here, I show how to use a Tremor3 reticle (I use it in my Steiner M7Xi) in a PRS context.
For my 112 Match Burners at 2930 feet per second, my wind dots work out this way:
Tail/Head wind: Hold center and pray
20 degree wind: dot = 12mph
60 degree wind: dot = 6mph
90 degree wind: dot = 5mph
Checkout the Snipershide updated windrose to get a better calculation going for your own reticle: www.snipershid...
Not everyone hates the dots. If you calibrate them and learn to use them they are super helpful when the wind blows.
Thank you and great content!
Explained very well!
Thanks! I remember getting started years ago and feeling very intimidated. I'm glad it's helpful!
great video
Great film! Where i can buy this training Tremor reticle ???
So for an extremely windy environment, would you recommend the Tremor 3 over the PR2
Great video! Where did you get the tremor 3 training aid you’re using in your video?
Thank you for this. Please please please stabilize future videos in the editor before uploading.
Subbed!

Hi there if i have sfp mils reticle just said that 6x24 power to range
Do i have to be full power to range targets?
Hi, love your content. Watch both of your videos on the tremor 3 and mil xt. I'm looking at the nightforce 5x25x56. Still deciding on what reticle to get. I like all the information on the tremor 3. But I think it's to clutter. Which one do you like or use more?
MIL-C or MIL-XT. The windage is extremely easy to read. I have a 7-35 ATACR on my 22 and it's great
@@rothgyr4360 I like the mil xt. Are the dots under the horizontal line wind dot?
No, wind dots are proprietary to Horus. The "dots" are .2 MRAD markings, just like on the main horizontal line.
Question, why size the target in moa when using mrad?
Ease of use, and it's what everyone else does. Most standard targets are 2 minutes - 300 yards target is 6", 400 is 8", etc. It's an easy point of reference and easier to calculate than inches to metric when checking target sizes on match day
@@rothgyr4360 yes I know, but then why use 0.1 Mrad what is 1cm @ 100m....if the targets are inches anyway, maybe I just beeing to logic?
I couldn’t care less about PRS but your reticle vids are great and I’m considering a tree style reticle for hunting and liking the Nightforce mil xt.
How do you think that reticle would do in hunting situation?
I’m kinda worried how a tree style FFP reticle will do for that.
Most FFP reticles become useless under 10x if they are not illuminated at least the ones I have used or looked through
I've noticed when looking through a 4-32 NX8 vs a 7-35 ATACR, and again with the USO FDN 25x and USO FDN 17x - that on the lower power scopes, the reticle isn't as fine. I think that on the higher end scopes, they make the reticle thicker so it can be more useful at lower power. If you plan on shooting at low power a lot, you might be better served with a Leupold, EBR-2C, or GAP reticle. The .25 or .5 is easier to pick out at lower power.
@@rothgyr4360 thanks for reply, I’ll check those out
What is a prs?

Hello,
When using the Tremor2/3 for PRS.
When dialing for the first target and using hold over for the next Targets, the mph wind dot value changes. How can i find out the new dot value?
Thank you for your help
Dialing on the Tremor3 is where wind dots start to approach useless. The best you can do is use a kestrel to capture wind speed and calibrate your dots in MRAD based on what your ballistic app says - Kestrel measures your wind at 8mph, ballistic app says .4 MRAD at that distance, use your reticle's MRAD marks to measure where the wind dot is at .4, and your dot's position relative to your wind is your new MPH mark.
It's not ideal, but that's probably the best answer I can give you. Wind dots are awesome, but they're pretty much a horizontal BDC reticle, which has it's advantages, but also disadvantages.
Cool video … what do you think about the msr reticle ? Could you do a video? I myself am trying to choose between the msr and tremor 3 but like most feel the tremor is too cluttered
I'll see if I can find the assets to get an msr2 video out. I need to do that and the MIL-XT pretty soon. I've got a triggercam on order - should make for good content, I think.
@@rothgyr4360 thanks it’s much appreciated… I was referring to the regular msr reticle not the 2 but either way should be educational. Was the tremor 3 hard to learn?
It took some practice, but not too much. DFAT practice is your friend. I got the assets together for the msr2, I'll see if I can get it together this week. Biggest difference looks like the .2 marks on the msr2
@@rothgyr4360 thanks man .. really good of you 🤙🏽
arent the wind holds dependent upon your 0 though?
I prefer to cheat and use my Horus scope package and wait for it to tell me where to hold lol
New subscriber here keep it up!! This channel desperately needs P-R-O-M-O-S-M!
Ha! Thanks!
