Beautiful piece! Sounds just like summer. Apparently it is supposed to conjure images of a thunderstorm rolling in from across the hills. It certainly sounds tempestuous and passionate. The little details of the plants, insects, and bees on the flowers was a great touch. I love when it warms up and you can see insects come out of their wintry hibernation.
Because of Vivaldi 's breathing problems in summer ( Vivaldi had asthma ) this piece composed very sad troubled and in thought . Try to listen to the music and see if you can feel his suffering and frustration in the composition.
Don't think the dramatic undertow of this music has much to do with Vivaldi's personal physical condition. Visionary piece, literally ahead of it's time.
The frustration that Vivaldi suffers in the summer heat and this frustration that Vivaldi wrote in the Summer piece is not something i just made up. I have this from a BBC documentary about the great composers or something like that. I cant remember the title of this documentary since it is a couple of decades ago that i saw these documentaries.
@Thinnestmeteor It's important to keep the violin parallel to the ground to keep the bow in between the bridge and fingerboard. She's up on an elevated platform, so she can't move her legs very much. If she did, it would probably interfere with her playing.
true. I really hate it when people add a beat and modern instruments to the "Presto" part on this piece thinking it makes it better. The original version makes me head bang more than any version by people like David Garret or Bond. I specially love the one by Joshua Bell on VEVO. I'm not usually a fan of Bell, but on that piece, he is awesome
This Season of bloom Golden rays alchemic Wings in flight Sweet fragrance carried by the winds This elixir of Creation Whispers Lilting melodies Such be the splendor of Summer. Rose Marie Racciopp Poet Laureate Orangetwn, New York Whispers Lilting melodies Such be the splendor of Summer.
@bassguitarfreek there's a certain delicacy about the way she plays, and she makes it look so easy!! that's when you know you have a good violinist! (and to see she is good is derogatory!)
Metal to classical is one the easiest jumps I can think of; they're two styles of music which are the most alike. The day you include folk and avant-garde and IDM and experimental electronic and Prog Rock and so on and so forth, then you'll be covering the full range of emotion simulation through sounds. n_n
when you play violin, in order to keep the bow straight, you have to lock your shoulder. then she plays with emotion, keeping the bow strokes clean by articulating the wrist. :) yep...
Well, as AC/DC's ''Let There Be Rock'' says; ''The white man had the schmaltz The black man had the blues No one knew what they was gonna do But Tschaikovsky had the news''
tho its not exactly what i was looking for, in the intouchables, filipe asks for the musicians to play "vivaldis the four seasons, the summer" and they play something muchmore exiting and wild like, dim dadada dim dadada dim dadada dim dadada *pause* dim dadada dim dadada dim dadada dim dadada *slightly smaller pause* dididi da dididi da dididi da... and so on
The feeling of the seasons is captured so well in every sound. I can feel every note of the Adagio Presto. Julia Fisher is just unique
I can not believe i have lived 21 years without listening to this.
Tears of joy are on my face.
Rivers of joy.
this is why i love music. i can go from metal to classical like Vivaldi and Mozart in a heartbeat. Love it so much.
Vivaldi is Baroque though, but yes
I discovered this video a few years ago, and watched it several times. I’m glad to see that it’s still up.
Absolute beauty ! Vivaldi for ever.
Nostalgy for summer translated by the violin of the talented Julia Fischer.
That was magnicidicant without Another word. You know the greatness, when meet the One. That is how it is.
Lack of passion is unforgivable. Hearts full with pride are unable to love therefore perform a great work.
the first violinist in this is by far the best at playing this piece that i have ever seen
Vivaldi was a musical God. This piece gives me goosebumps! :)
Thank you so much for sharing what a talented and gifted people there are in the World. Amazing work. Enjoyed is very much. Thank you.
Amazing, the violinist in this peice is a star, she shined and exuded such passion.Love it!
I agree
Julia Fischer is amazing.
The seasons are captured so well in the sound. I can feel every note warming me up.
Thank you for posting :)
Finally found my favorite tempo for the summer movement of Itzhak, definitly my favorite piece!!!
como habrán crecido esas plantas con semejante melodía...
That finale is just too epic...I want to listen to it while I spill the blood of my enemies.
Maybe you should change your username into Dracul or something
Congratulations and thank you for this marvelous video !
Thank you for uploading and sharing these videos. I love The Four Seasons!

Summer in Italy can be pretty violent, the thunderstorms are enough to make you believe someone is throwing bolts down from heaven.
ÉSTE VERANO DE VIVALDI DESPIERTA UNA PAZ INDESCRIPTIBLE , SENSACIONES DE ALEGRÍA COMPARTIDA Y TANTAS VIVENCIAS MÁS.........!!!!
Heavenly and sublime!
My heart & mind are melting. I love this so much!
"Human feelings are difficult to predict." -Vivaldi
This is my favourite suite, I just love the mixture of dynamism and melancholy.
With this quality it's difficult to see her beauty and the garden. Very nice music btw.
Wow,what an amazing violinist!
the whole thing is just beautiful...
AWesome music, amo la música de Vivaldi
Amazing song and intpretation

if this represents his frustration and suffering, he suffered in the most beautiful way

Was Vivaldi himself present in the documentary explaining what the music was telling?
No, It was a historian whose profession was classical music that had all the answers, just like you.
same happens to me in the first movement of Winter... but all of the four seasons are great
Excelente interpretación! El video está más o menos bien, las imágenes ayudan a crear atmósfera, pero la música lo es todo.
Metal of the past \m/ :)
Well classical came way before, soooo..
My absolute fave )

MARAVILLOSO...WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful.
I so want to see this played in a botanical garden now.
Nagyon szép volt ! Örök :)
Maravilloso Verano
Great performance!
i constantly hear birds chirping and sometimes bees too.. definitely from the botanical garden :D
Capolavoro!
wow!!!! like this!!!
The music is certainly high quality ;-)
I wish I could listen to this by Antonio Lucio though.

I wish this was available on audio CD.
I think Julia is more than a solist here. She seems to be leading the chamber-orchestra
Magnifica!
thank you
Amazing

LOVE THAT LAST MOVEMENT (7:33-10:06)!!
Belíssima obra musical.
Classical is more metal than most metal these days
Plays Vivaldi's tunes like the bangers they really are.
Metal to classical is one the easiest jumps I can think of; they're two styles of music which are the most alike. superb...
I like Vivaldi because he doesn't write his songs about or for a girl, unlike Berlioz, and others.
tRUTH
awesome !
Bees and butterflies… They seem today an archaic kind of creature that maybe only still exist in tales.
Csodálatos!
Una maravilla musical
at 08:36 begins the best moment in music of all time

High Quality? What do you understand by "High Quality"?
/-:
Audio
Peli grosisimo 240p man thats quality stuff
+Peli grosisimo theres no need for nice video quality when the subject of the video is the sound
magnifique
totally agree
its not sped up, that's what violin players look like when they're playing an extremely difficult piece and putting a lot of emotion into it
Sikken dejlig dag det er i dag😘
Explendido!!!!!!!!
Indie is the new mainstream
7:33 There you go!
🍀
bravissimo
since when does 240p qualifies as 'High Quality'?
8:58 - most epic moment ever :D
@SeriousGamer753 - Emma Watson from Sherlock Holmes? ;)
This is a perfect but a bit some faster interpretation. If it could be slower, may be it could reflect the emotions much more.
although summer is not my favourite, that moment 8:38 is my most favourite from all parts
EXCELSO
belaaaa musica
yea, i can hear dist guitars in this one.
This is the song to my ballet solo
0:01 here . . . I think it was written for goosebumps.
depends on where you get your metal from c:
Well, as AC/DC's ''Let There Be Rock'' says;
''The white man had the schmaltz
The black man had the blues
No one knew what they was gonna do
But Tschaikovsky had the news''
2009 the time when 240p was High Quality
Listen to the music. While watching, or without
Hhaahaha
