HMG reloading advice and to be completely honest, this should really be a _policy_ you strive for: perform tactical reloads, it shaves the reload time down from ~5.5 seconds to ~4 seconds due to not needing to rack the gun if there is still a bullet in the chamber, so count your shots and dump mags with as close to 1 shot left as you can, this is a massive time saver by making your reloads happen 37.5% faster, and is one of the most critical skills to learn when optimizing this weapon.
For tanks, you dont need to only shoot the vents on the turrets, you can also kill a tank by shooting the grates in the back of the tank between the treads and below the turret if you cant get to the turrets back. the grate you are standing right next to at 10:11 is where you want to shoot, you will kill a tank in about 15-20 shots give or take.

Can i just say, i frickin hate how HMG only has 75 bullets and 2 mags? What would be perfect and unique is if it was belt fed from a backpack, no reloading, you just shoot 500-750 ammo in one "clip" straight from the pack with the drawback being a slight recoil nerf paired with a faster default fire rate and perhaps an overheat mechanic (unique for for non-energy based weapons). Basically, i want a borderline carriable minigun.
I love the HMG for how it is right now, if you want a belt-fed minigun, better hope they make it a different support weapon cuz it'd SUCK for the HMG to lose its ability to have freed backpack slot.
Okay well this isn’t a mini gun. I would take an extra clip or two. Like they gave flamethrower 4 mags. It would feel nice to not have to bring supply pack although I love it. I think they will make a hand carried mini gun at some point. Like a the Gatling turret in our hands.

The stalwart feels amazing at the bug side considering ur team runs anti tank weapons.
@Dark_Tesla yeah thats how i feel nd dont get me wrong i have always being an amr enthusiast from the earliest days when i did bot missions. HMG feels way better than the AMR when dealing with sticky situations such as striders or hulk squads.
MG206 is my favorite MG out of the bunch, the breakpoints and TTK of it is just superior out of the 3, if you're able to manage your shots well, not to mention its utilities obviously. Everyone using MMG + HMG also has to learn about staged reloading with it to be able to reload on-the-go as well. BUT there's one thing about the MG206 right now that I feel like a bug. I waited until this video come out to make this comment, there's this VERY STRANGE bug/interaction that MG206 has with Charger's butt (both NORMAL, and Behemoth), when compared to MG43 and Stalwart. I've done A LOT of testing so this is all true. This is gonna be a bit long to explain xD. You can see that SOMEHOW, the MG206 when shooting at Charger's butt, there's the RICOCHET and SHIELD BOUNCE ICON, which is NOT the case for the MG43 and even Stalwart. They somehow got red hitmarker normally. Of course, you're still dealing damage to Charger's butt despite that, but with the case of MG206, you're dealing 100% OR 71% damage (apparently) depending on where your shots land. Charger's BUTT has 2 parts, the BLACK UPPERBUTT (not armor), and ORANGE UNDERBUTT. When it comes to MG43 and I think the Stalwart as well, you're dealing 100% damage no matter where your bullets land, MG43 takes 55 shots to burst a Behemoth Charger's butt, I haven't tested Stalwart yet but I think it's around 88 or so. HOWEVER, with the MG206, for some reason, if all your shots land on the BLACK UPPERBUTT, it'll take 35 shots (71% dmg), while the ORANGE UNDERBUTT will take 25 shots (100% dmg). I've done the durable calculations, MG206 deals 49.5 dmg to 100% durable parts, and Behemoth Charger's butt taking 25 shots checks out (1237.5), cuz Behemoth's butt has 1200 HP. By all account, this shouldn't be the case with MG206 AT ALL, cuz it is AP4, and MG43 is AP3, which doesn't make any sense that MG43 is having an easier time dealing damage to Charger's butt? If anything, it should be the other way around. So it is baffling. I don't even think this was the case before the big patch with the MG206, there was no ricochet/shield bouce icon before. I made a video to showcase what I mean, if anyone cares enough to watch of course.
This is a well constructed feedback and in-depth analysis based on your calculations, I would say this is true! I noticed it's BLACK UPPERBUTT which is some of the bullets are riccochetting when I always taking it out. and Sometimes I need to redo it because i consider it as missed shots. So thank you for this man! I'm glad you liked the video.. I'm gonna watch your showcase too.. nicee!
I believe there is damage drop-off with increased range that varies between weapons (e.g. I think the Laser Cannon hits full damage at any range so it has 0% dropoff)... Not sure what the dropoff is for the HMG, but if it is significant it could account for a lot of variation for things like # rounds necessary to drop a spore spewer. It would take a lot fewer rounds at close range if that is the case. Great video, I hope to see more. Would love to see this put to the test with the HMG (I'm usually too busy running for my democratic life to test like you're doing here). Keep it up!

You know it's crazy. When they actually make the weapons and stratagems viable people will use them. HMG, Tenderizer, Orbital Barrage, Rocket Sentury. Since the big patch I run into so many people using these things. There are still a few things I would like to see changed. The guard dog while it's damage has been improved it needs one more change. When you pick up ammo packages scattered throughout the map you should get at least two magazines back. That's just one thing I can think of off the top of my head. Helmet buffs would be nice. More differentiation/traits between the armors would be nice as well. By that I mean make each armor class feel different. Medium armor doesn't flinch as easy as light armor. Heavy armor has more reduced stagger than medium armor. But I do like the direction that the game is heading in terms of balancing and Q.O.L. To answer your question I love LMG's. They all serve a purpose. You can't beat the mobility of the Stalwart. I have always liked running the Machine Gun. Since all the changes I have been running the HMG a lot more. I still say the ammo should have been bumped up to 90 or 100 rounds minimum.
I agree! The mobility supremacy of the Stalwart is the reason why people use it all of the time.. Because the battle is so chaotic and worst no time for stationary reloads when crucial comes in... Thanks man! I appreciate your Feedback and Suggestions! Thank you for the support!!!
I still prefer Engineering kit. Those two grenades and recoil reduction are great with my supply pack. Ergonomics… is okay but not for two extra grenades and recoil reduction on my primary and sidearm as well.

I seriously hate you for having messenger sounds in the video... Took too long to realize it was the video after many searches why i did not get a message. Good video other than that!
5 shots to the hulks visor from the front will take it out (use stuns, or tap fire on medium/long range will make it more easy to hit).. given 100% accuracy u can kill 15 hulks with 1 magazine. idk if u just trolling or really dont know any better, but i could not think of a way to kill a hulk with hmg that is less efficient than how you showcased it.. also devastators are 1 shot to the head if u can manage to hit which you showed but not mentioned. also 4 shots to the legs will kill them faster than going for body shots, as long as u can hit them effectively but since the first shot staggers that should make follow up shots easier. also wouldve been great if u mentioned how important it is to go prone or crouch and definetly not walk while firing the hmg when u want to be precise, for engagements where accuracy is less important u can obviosly fire while strafing but propably best of with primary, that u mentioned though when talking about the bugs which i like. the one thing that i learned which i did not know b4 is that peak physique decreases the neutral sway thats great to know thank you for that and otherwise very good video, im beeing very specific here so maybe someone learns even more than by just watching the video
i think peak physique is overrated and the heavy machine gun is inferior to the machine gun i never needed peak physique to stay on target or better said to get to it. the normal machine gun we(my squad) play since launch. we started on day 3 of launch with dif 9 and never went below it again. imo the gain of the HMG is so little for the disadvantages you get you get like 7 to 10 more dmg per bullet but the mags hold only 75 bullets compared to 125 of the MG plus you reload it faster by like 2 seconds. HMG takes a while longer wich leads to situations if you get overrun that you cannot reload without taking damage. the gain of peak physique seems cool on paper but i personaly rather bring something else.
I just wish the HMG had a larger capacity, a 75 round drum goes quick af, even at 450rpm. That said, I still love it, it's an amazing gun. The MG and HMG will always be my go-to stratagems.
man i must be one weird individual to think that the HMG *should* be slower to aim and it feels better to use that way. Dunno why but something about handling a motherfucking HMG like an assalt rifle just does not want to sit right in my brain i'd much rather have the recoil reduction from fortified/engineering kit.

Good video other than that!
Arrowhead sees this.
Arrowhead nerfs HMG. 🤣🤣
nah they just buffed it
NOOO!! 🤣🤣 HEY DEVS! HMG IS STILL SUCKS! 🤣🤣
Did he just gut a factory strider with a third of an hmg mag?
I'd rather have aim stability over ergonomics. Faster turning speed means nothing if you miss shots due to recoil.
Personally, I like the Engr. Perk more than Peak Physique... I'd rather have low recoil than less sway..
Is your character voice in Japanese? How can I do that? HD2 will instantly bee so much more fun lol
Does thia new passive help with recoil? I've been using the fortified armour and even then while being prone i would never hold the full auto
Nope, Just the Handling and Sway of the Reticle... For the Recoil, The engr perk is much better,
5 shots to the hulks visor from the front will take it out (use stuns, or tap fire on medium/long range will make it more easy to hit).. given 100% accuracy u can kill 15 hulks with 1 magazine. idk if u just trolling or really dont know any better, but i could not think of a way to kill a hulk with hmg that is less efficient than how you showcased it.. also devastators are 1 shot to the head if u can manage to hit which you showed but not mentioned. also 4 shots to the legs will kill them faster than going for body shots, as long as u can hit them effectively but since the first shot staggers that should make follow up shots easier. also wouldve been great if u mentioned how important it is to go prone or crouch and definetly not walk while firing the hmg when u want to be precise, for engagements where accuracy is less important u can obviosly fire while strafing but propably best of with primary, that u mentioned though when talking about the bugs which i like. the one thing that i learned which i did not know b4 is that peak physique decreases the neutral sway thats great to know thank you for that and otherwise very good video, im beeing very specific here so maybe someone learns even more than by just watching the video
Thank you for this feedback man!... I appreciate it! I just like you mentioned the Hulk part and the crouch/prone tip... That's a good one!
YAMETE KUDASAI!!!
HMG can damage the Hulk's front visor. Killing it in about 4-5 bullets.
Yes, This is noted... Thanks for reminding! That's a good one!
They should definitely buff its ammo economy. With the visual size of its magazine it should atleast have 100 rounds.
Hello
thank you very much, my god
You're welcome!! I'm glad you liked it! Thank you for the Support!
i think peak physique is overrated and the heavy machine gun is inferior to the machine gun
i never needed peak physique to stay on target or better said to get to it. the normal machine gun we(my squad) play since launch. we started on day 3 of launch with dif 9 and never went below it again.
imo the gain of the HMG is so little for the disadvantages you get you get like 7 to 10 more dmg per bullet but the mags hold only 75 bullets compared to 125 of the MG
plus you reload it faster by like 2 seconds.
The MG and HMG will always be my go-to stratagems.
nice pick man! I agree it should've been atleast 100 ammo capacity... because 75 feels lacking tbh. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Dev : All we can do is 85
HMG Main : nah...ok
personally 85 is ok, 90 emm ok, 100 = NICE, 150 OMFG
For some reason, peak physique doesn't feel like it makes any improvement to the handling of the eruptor. Maybe its just me idk.
I agree with you, some players aren't into Peak Physique Perk...
@@WayaliciousTV I love it, just not for the eruptor.
Why would I shoot the Hulk in the heatsink when I can blast its eye in 4 shots?
This is noted! A lot of you reminds me this and I thank you all for it! Thanks man!
U didnt know the hmg could kill the hulk with 4 headshots?
It has medium 4 armor pen.
yea that's true
I feel lame that I didn't tried that one... Thanks Josiah!
HMG can drop a hulk with 4 shots to the face. Definitely take off any problematic weapons first. That flamer arm has to go.
This is noted! A lot of you reminds me this and I thank you all for it! Thanks man!
does Peak Physique help with recoil?
Nope, just the Sway of the reticle... so to make it short it's making the weapon lighter
Imagine they added a minigun
That would be insane! Mini-gatling would be so cool
I AM THE NEWEST CONVERT TO HMG+PEAK PHYSIQUE GANG!
Glad we have a new one in the gang... Nice man!!
That mask in your logo.. fkn lol.
I like the style of Modern Ninja 🤣🤣
wait a minute, since when did the bot have AT-AT??
About 1,5-2 months already
Yeah about 1 and a half months already...
man i must be one weird individual to think that the HMG *should* be slower to aim and it feels better to use that way. Dunno why but something about handling a motherfucking HMG like an assalt rifle just does not want to sit right in my brain
i'd much rather have the recoil reduction from fortified/engineering kit.
I agree, Engr Kit perk is much better by +2 grenades and less recoil
with hulks just shoot a leg off..
This is a good tip!... Take note helldivers!
i dont like the peak physiqe armors so...
Reloading is too long clip is too short for this to be fun sorry
I agree with you, The Reloading and Low ammo economy isn't for everyone, Thanks for Sharing it with us man!
Show it firing though. Engineering is better
every footage of this video is i'm showing how it fires with Peak Physique perk tho... Engineering is better in Recoil reduction.
HMG sucks.
Lmao. Does S-tier it's when u need some dancing? Heavy machine gun is steel useless
they will nerf tf out of it
