I really want to like the Jar-5, but man, that handling. With the CS, while on paper it's less damage for the same amount of rounds and no stagger, it still feels more effective for me (on M+K) because I'm not constantly missing. Compared to the Jar-5 , the CS's snappy handling and high velocity rounds makes it way easier to actually land hits (especially on moving targets) and pop devastator faces, so in terms of actually getting effective damage per mag, I feel like the CS wins out even though the Jar-5 is better on paper. Plus I think I read in recent patch notes somewhere that the automatons do lose accuracy upon taking any hit, non-staggering rounds included, and I've definitely noticed that lately. With the CS, when shooting at the shield devastators, even the shorter "flinch" animation (vs the longer "stagger" animation) still throws their shots off target, so stagger doesn't feel quite as important as it used to be for the automatons.
I think it is patch dependant. In the past, I ran the Jar-5 because it is a Beserker wrecker. Just aim for the waist and you can 2 tap them, with better ammo economy than the DCS. However, I have not seen multiple Beserker trains for a while now and I agree with you that the DCS is better. On the Bug front, the Jar-5 takes care of spewers, Hive Guards, Commanders, and importantly, Stalkers. You can kill multiple Stalkers with 1 mag, and because of the Stagger, they don't get to touch you. The weakness of the Jar-5 on Bugs is Hunter packs, of which there are a ton of these days. Because of the abundance of Spewers and Hunters these days, I run a Crossbow/Stalwart/Thermite loadout.
Its not even the weapon's handling for me, its the slow projectile velocity. By the time the bullet reaches the target's position, the target has already moved.
The Dagger kinda makes the Scythe pointless. Sure, it has 100 less dmg/second, but the DOT burn dmg is the same, same penetration. Against most targets, you will barely notice a difference. Scythe needs a boost to like 450 dmg/sec or medium penetration. It's a weapon with no knockback, so it needs to kill fast.

Nah, dagger heats up way faster. It’s great but scythe is far superior especially with that scope. Dagger is great if your running crossbow or eruptor or on bots and running ballistic shield

I'm having a lot of fun with the default liberator, its a good gun for hunters up close, i take it with an arc thrower for hive guard and up. Heavily slept on gun for bugs.
Agreed. I love that they made it so much better. It used to be way outclassed by the sickle, and now it does a good amount more DPS. Plus, it has a very quick reload speed which is super nice
Liberator Penetrator is a good alternative if you need something to deal with heavy units fast, then just take the P-90 secondary in case you ever really hate everything in a general direction

to drink water all you're gonna need is these three things. as long as you got these you are good to go. first you're gonna need a glass. you can get these in an overhead cabinet. sometimes they'll spawn in a drawer. then you're gonna need a tap. you'll usually find these in a kitchen or a bathroom. then all you're gonna need to do is turn that tap on and you got the water. now you wanna collect that water in the glass. alright my dudes, don't forget to like and subscibe
Underrated pick is the Punisher for Bugs it has great stagger, and it's the first weapon you can buy so everyone can pretty much use it. I run it on super helldive all the time currently, and it's great I staggers every enemy aside from Chargers, Bile Titans, and Impalers. Underrated pick, in my opinion, also to prevent medium pen problems. I run Senator, so I don't worry on that front. Punisher sucks against bots, but it's not so bad because it still staggers, so it's not so terrible.
For the terminids my favorite is the arc 12 and the guard dog rover. Support weapon varies a little bit but it is usually the quasar or eat if I'm running the rover. If not then I like the autocannon or laser cannon. The arc thrower is an honorable mention as well pairing that up with the sickle or the scythe.
Blitzer and Guard Dog Rover is a great combo on bug dives. I just stand on top of a bug tunnel breaches and spam fire into them. Twice in one round this week I got my kill streaks over 60 doing that on a level 7 dive. It costs no ammo, no stims, and just 2 incendiary grenades to deal with the chargers that popped out at the end.
Always loved the Jar-5 and plas punisher especially when paired with guard dog. Hoping the regular punisher gets a buff to include either higher dmg or pushback/stagger!
RIP plas punisher, plasma standardisation killed its unique playstyle and turned it from a perfectly balanced launcher that needed some skill, into a bad shotgun outclassed by other guns in the roles it fell into. It needs to be reverted
Quick tip: When playing the Cookout (Or any other cartridge feeding shotgun), hit reload after every single shot, that way if you time it right, you will never have to reload the whole mag but can shoot until you run out of ammo.
I really like the PP but jesus it takes so long to actually kill devastators in higher difficulties with it. Stunning them is nice and all but I dont want to waste a whole mag to kill one devastator
I've started to go back and use the liberator AR. Its a literal sweeping floor weapon, I pair it with senator and heavy machine mostly. Also, quite a symbolic weapon, it was the first standard helldiver weapon when deployed.
A little while back, I brought my bot loadout against the bugs. Had a great time using the JAR-5 Dominator, Dagger, and Recoilless Rifle against the bugs.
Bugs: crossbow, sawed off shotgun pistol, laser guard dog, quasar cannon. Can 1-3 shot any terminid and the secondary has good stagger to deal with stalkers and shotgun bullet spread to hit the shriekers
for bugs i usually go cockout with granade pistol and flammenwerhfer, and it works.. nice addition is supply backpack, because of my spaming strategi and not great ammo economy of shotguns and flamethrowers.. Cockout works best vs Stalkers and Alpha comanders, because of the knockout and flam is great vs chaff. (oh, and it is wonderfull againts schrieckers, big area of effect and afterburn is enofth for shoting once at the flying shit and forgeting about it.) gpistol is utylity for clousing bugholes and sometimes I use it just like it should be - pocket granade launcher. Nades are preferable, armor - I like the fireman set, because my fire skill issue and teammates with laser cerberus. If my team have very little at weapons i took 3' stratagem for EAT, but i know that fast 500kg also do the work. I sometimes goofy on lowtier missions with torcher, but then i get swarmed by schrieckers, nest guards, or other bugs and i remember why i love punisher, sluger, or cockout.. for bots i love set showned by 'Background Gaming' (link: th-cam.com/video/vPwwo0lLGd8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Nen6bKTeHFQ6-jEs ) in sumary it is combination of crossbow, uzi, termite, and recoiless riffle. I'm Lovin mine Knight + AMR with Supply backpack and Thermite. Knight with burst (3x60 dmg) obliberates anything it can penetrate in a press of a trigger, and anything it can't pen AMR deals with. And if you come face to face with charger / hulk just yeet a termite or two in their face >.> I love my lil brr brr knight.

Man I live the blitzer for bots but those rockect striders are the bane of my existence they need a light armor weak point even if it’s tiny and on the back of the legs or some thing just anything
IMO as long as the Crossbow is this beast the Plasma Punisher is just an worst Crossbow. After playing with the Crossbow and play 1 match with the Plasma Punisher, you will quit and get back to the Crossbow lol

When I use the Jar5 the muzzle flash/gas is so strong I can't land followup shots. Is there some setting I'm overlooking lol, because yours doesn't look like that. PS5 fyi.
Has the Torcher been nerfed since this video was published? Trying to use it against chargers, and it takes multiple full canisters to take one down. Cookout seems kind of weak, too. Burn damage in general does. For me, it's taking longer to kill a brood commander with the Torcher than it took to kill the charger in the video. Also where's the Purifier in this list?
Cookout versus bots on planets with big, open spaces (like our current MO) is a terrible idea. It's a shotgun, at the end of the day. Unless you save it for the few close quarters engagements and use stratagems for everything at long distance, it's not the "best" for every situation.
I'm a big defender of the Cookout. For me it is the best Primary to play vs Bugs since we need space and push back enemies all the time. But it is necessary to have a medium pen gun to fill that role in the build. I personally like to use GP + Supply Pack + Quasar or Senator + Recoiless. Against Bots, it is usable. Perfect to clear tier 1 enemies fast and preventing them to call a drop. 1 pellet is enough to kill them. Can save us from being swarmed by berserkers too. But in the end you are stuck with medium pen support weapons like Railgun, AC, AMR, etc. There are other options that are far better vs bots for the primary slot.
@@Crazymrpipz it's a giant AOE stun Infront of you. Two shots every enemy except hulks. You just have to play close up. I don't bring anything else on 10s. Crossbow has horrible aiming and projectile speed. Once you learn how to use the cookout it's the best.
Torcher is the worst weapon. U will be taken out of game if u use it against bugs by burning ur self to hell every minute. U are fked up esch time u meet 2 or more enemys... they will run into u and burn u to hell
I dunno... i fully believe any weapon is op depending on how you use it, and your play style. Telling people what "weapon you only need" kinda stunts them from finding their own favorite build that actually works for them, and that they enjoy.
I know the crossbow is just overall better right now, but I still love my Eruptor and take it over it most of the time.

Use the peak physique armor perc with jar 5 dom and autocannon. Makes both feel much better

4-5 direct hits to kill a single berserker killed the plasma punisher for me on the bot front

eradicator light armour, crossbow, shotgun, Stun grenades, ballistic shield, 500kg, OPS, Commando is my go to build for bots at the moment

2 statagems free would be eagle strafing run (can kill Impalers in 1) and tesla tower, tesla swappable for your favorite
If you mix the scythe with the laser cannon, you got a solid infinite ammo loadout

You forgot on lower difficulties the PP (Plasma Punisher) can take out scout striders from the front cause the explosion impacts the driver

Against Bots, it is usable. Perfect to clear tier 1 enemies fast and preventing them to call a drop. 1 pellet is enough to kill them. Can save us from being swarmed by berserkers too. But in the end you are stuck with medium pen support weapons like Railgun, AC, AMR, etc. There are other options that are far better vs bots for the primary slot.
@@Crazymrpipz it's a giant AOE stun Infront of you. Two shots every enemy except hulks. You just have to play close up. I don't bring anything else on 10s. Crossbow has horrible aiming and projectile speed. Once you learn how to use the cookout it's the best.
Torcher is the worst weapon. U will be taken out of game if u use it against bugs by burning ur self to hell every minute. U are fked up esch time u meet 2 or more enemys... they will run into u and burn u to hell

I dunno... i fully believe any weapon is op depending on how you use it, and your play style. Telling people what "weapon you only need" kinda stunts them from finding their own favorite build that actually works for them, and that they enjoy.

With enough practice the plasma punisher and crossbow replace every primary in the game.
