Appreciate the criticisms. It's easy to glorify them all day long. It's nice to hear somebody being honest. I have a CBR500R and somebody said that the F4i is pretty comfortable for a sport bike, especially for the pillion. My finacee wants to ride this year so I'm trying to figure out whether to buy air cushions or swap the bike.
Don't forget there are 2 versions of this bike. The F-Sport has the classic hard "sporty" Honda seat of the time, whereas the F doesn't. The sport also has different suspension and some engine internals. There's a significant difference in comfort and practicality by all accounts.
I have one, love it. Only complaint is the suspension sag, way too soft. For city riding it's nice over bumps tho. Plenty of power if you ever need it. Good low revs power for a sport bike. Handles well. Very sturdy and reliable bike. Cam chain tensioner goes bad, but otherwise low maintenance for it's abilities. Keeping mine forever
I was thinking about getting an '01, just out of curiosity how tall are you? I'm fairly tall and just wondering about your input on this bike and height.
I'm about 5ft 11", the bike is fairly comfortable and it is bigger than sports bikes of todays standards. I'd say over 6ft3-5 you might feel like you're on a child's bike.
Watched the whole thing and you didn't even wind out the engine?! All the power is up high. How do you review a bike and not even give it full throttle. Smh
Power isn't everything about a bike. I gave it as much throttle as I could on the only bit of straight road. It's an extremely bumpy road so I didn't want to risk writing a friends bike off 👌
@@MotoDragon fair enough, but you don't need to wind it all the way out to feel the power. I also rode a friends f4i and just opened it up for a few seconds to feel the power. It's really powerful up higher in the rev range. Pity you didn't get a chance to experience the bike true power, and that people interested in f4i's will watch this video and think it's a slow bike when it really is very fast and powerful

You said its a bit stiff suspension you can get adjust it on the left rear of it
do you LIKE the position or NOT? lol
I have a blue/black 06. It's perfect. I don't think I can Ever sell it.
What was the damage on insurance out of interest? Thinking of getting one soon (or a z750)
markpender548 $300-$400 a year
Completely depends on your situation (age, location etc). I'd imagine the z750 would be cheaper being a naked
what kind of mirrors are those?
Gay ones
Reflective ones

Can I bike be raised or only lowered? I've been looking for a while but I flatfoot on every bike I've sat on, please help?
+kie1691 They have adjustable suspension front and rear, don't know how much they can be raised or lowered but yes they can be
+Moto Dragon thanks and is it bad to flat foot when sitting on a bike?
+kie1691 that's usually what you'd want for ultimate control while standing
+MagicPoptartz14 oh... I ride mountain bikes and always measured to be on my tippy toes . Thanks for ur help
+kie1691 plus it's probably safest to give you full control of the bike while stopped wouldn't want to drop the bike 😁
i have the 2002 banana seat version
Just bought an 06. Specifically looked for the banana seat. It's comfortable. IDC it it doesn't "look as sporty" lol
@@stevecariggillio4139 same here. After owning my first one, the second had to be the long seat also.
your flat out doing these bike reviews lol whats next on your last apart from the r1
+Fast_N_Fearless Haha thats the last one for a while. Don't have a list these reviews are random haha
U should go into bikeworld in Dublin they let u test ride and review all the new bikes they even have a h2
Yeh i know Ray the manager so might try sort something out with him
Only 120 damn man its plenty unless your using it for track days. Irish roads can't handle 75hp lol😂
You ride it like you’re afraid of it
well it was 5 years ago when I was fairly new to bikes and it wasn't mine.
