    Hello, Black Mountain Honey! This showed up in my feed this morning, and I'm so glad it did. I agree with you 100% that the InstantVap is the most effective delivery system to date for OA. I also like the caps you're using as some of the Api-bioxal is too dry to hold its position in the metered delivery plunger. At 06:15 I'm so glad you covered the cleaning method as it's very important in my opinion. I wish you all the best, and I'm happy to know you're tackling those varroa better than before.

      Hey Fred. Good to hear from you! I'm a little late on this one but I wanted to get a year of use under my belt before I sang its praises. Noticing the positive impact its having on my bees already. Plan to try summer caging and treatment in late summer next year 😀
      Hopefully catch up at the Expo in January 🐝

    Hi, just wondering how many hives can you dose with a fully charged battery? Would I need a second or third battery at hand? Thanks for the video.

    Ok where do I get that silicone cup you used to immediately clean after treating?!

  • @mustrumridcully3853

    Just been using my new one. Yes, as advertised, it is brilliant. However some things arent clear enough. It will empty a 2Ah battery just bringing it up to temperature. I had to pick up a couple of 5 Ah ones to cope. CLEAN IT PROPERLY, several washes are needed if you use Apibioxal - otherwise you can smell burned sugar which is the residue stuck to the inside - and it will start to block the nozzle. It is a serious investment - but no faff compared to ALL the other methods. Worth getting 2 plungers if you have nucs and bigger hives. Also need the nuc nozzles. In the Uk this isnt £375 - with the addons it's around £420. With a couple of 5Ah compatible batteries it's £470 +/-. You are paying for performance.

    Very nice vaporizer. When is the drawing?

  • @sjorsverbeek3935
    @sjorsverbeek3935 ปีที่แล้ว

    Here from the Netherlands, like the instavap. Like to paticipate with the drawing. I now have the Sublimox. Maybe a great tip for you: summer treathmant 5 times every 4th day after honey harvesting with the vaporisor kills more than 90% of the mites and it is harmless for the bees and easy for the beekeeper!!
    Let me know if or when you try this out! I am doing it now for a lot of years

    I use the oxalic fogger that sublimates the ox/ethanol mix which works fine. Cheers for the video though if mine breaks I’ll probably replace it with this one now.

    • @BlackMountainHoney

      Double check the research on that one Clive. My understanding is the Ethanol/OA foggers arent actually that effective (if at all). Do you get a decent drop after doing them?

      I seem to have a good number the first application then on the second a week later maybe 1 or 2 but I do use the varroa med treatment over the summer so the numbers aren’t that high going into winter but I always treat now after losing 3 hives one winter😢.
