    The simplest way I found to clean the nozzles on my vaporizers is to point the nozzle toward the ground ,then I use my small butane torch (my smoker lighter) to heat the nozzle...the OA slides out like a slug in seconds...no fuss no muss. And on occasion a small cheap SS wire brush around the inside does the rest.

    The larger units recovered quicker, but we also didn’t have the silicon up top the compact so that would make a difference

      @@bobbinnie9872 I do prefer the bigger ones, as they seem to be easier on the battaries and they fit better on the entrances that we have. The compact is great going into the tighter spots but it seemed alot less sturdy in the hives, and I found they didnt handle the 12amp batteries very well.
      Running all three this year worked really well and kept me moving however I prefer to run them so I keep the elements always heating (transferring the vaporizers to another hive as it reaches 220 degrees) to try keep things efficient. With the compact it doesnt tell you its temerature so it took a bit of adapting on my part😅
      I have a tendency to overthink and build mental systems on how I think things should go...lol

      @@carriemartindale-wetherup5243 I wonder if adding a longer version of the silicon insulator like Sir Bob has on his units - completely covering the heating element would give the extra insulation needed to make the compact unit more efficient in the colder temps?
      As long as it doesn't interfere with the tube getting far enough into the hive,

    Used mine today. Dec. 1st. Temperature was 4c in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada. I have dewalt tools so use AH 5, 18 volt batteries. It took me 3 batteries to do 39 hives.
    I thought the slow blinking was the unit reheating to treatment temperature.

    What I intended to do is to extend the brass fitting almost 4 inches. I noticed that the vapor is coming out from the inside and extending the fitting makes sense to me. Let me know if you consider this being a good idea. Have a blessed day Bob. God bless your team and because we approach the holidays I will say Happy Holidays to everyone.

      An extended tube may help. It has pipe threads on the end and perhaps a longer one could be found. As far as vapors coming out, the box is very full when done with it coming out of all cracks if there are any. When we have rags installed most of it stays in.

    • @andrewsherwin2664

      Thanks. We have switched over for now. The VM Turbo is definitely faster but a major pain to operate. Plus we're not sure the temperature is correct. The ProVaps work OK but the crew prefer the InstantVap with battery. They say they are quicker and easier so I'm going with what they like.

    Hi Bob,
    Could you confirm if you are using 99.7 % as pure oxalic acid or 99.7 purity as oxalic dihydrate? The first bags you showed were just labeled oxalic acid and the last bag showed oxalic acid dihydrate. My understanding is that the literature which suggests using 4 grams is based on using 4 grams as the dihydrate ( wood bleach) form which is 30 % greater in Molecular weight than oxalic acid ( less concentrated because it has two stable water molecules attached but still pure) . So 4 gm dose of pure oxalic acid would be 5.2 gms dose of oxalic acid dihydrate .
    Thanks for your videos. Love watching every Sunday.

    2 or 4 grams blowing away in the wind makes no difference. Follow up with counts or sticky boards, and the results will speak for itself. My testing shows the entrance needs to be left closed for 10 minutes. I have to do it efficiently the first time. I keep 500 colonies by myself, meaning I can't go back 3 more times to get it right. That same size bag made in China is $127 canadian with Trudeau's economy.

    • @bobbinnie9872
      @bobbinnie9872  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      They're a lot easier to use without the extension cords our other units need. It's especially helpful in yards with a lot of obstacles for cords to catch on.

    • @rrussellco1176
      @rrussellco1176 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @bobbinnie9872 I get the obstacles part for sure. We put inverters in every truck and just run the cords out to the furthest hive and work back towards the truck. But I have the luxury of being more selective about the bee yards that I take giving me the ability to place hives on level ground in rows so the trucks can drive between them.
