Just so y’all know, you can’t play PS5 games on an external SSD you can put PS5 games on an external SSD but after that it will ask you to make a copy of the game to the internal storage or M2 SSD If you want to get more storage on your PS5 you need to buy an internal M2 SSD for the PS5 but it can’t be more than 8TB of storage.

Ps4 games are playable straight from the drive but not ps5 games, none of the external ones can do that yet. You’ll need an internal ssd upgrade for that

You only need to transfer ps5 titles from external to internal all ps4 and earlier don’t need to be as far as I know
