I’ve been searching how to tame certain Dino’s and stuff and I always go for Plinger , I’m surprised he has almost all the Dino guides to tame them, a great player and great TH-camr, deserves one million subs
I also always go to his channel ,I just like the design and structure of his video,always the same and always useful

The Ankylo was the first Dino I killed a Rex with. The times where everything tamed was totally op:'D

A battle anky would be awesome but I feel most ground mounts are now alot harder thanks to stupid raptors pounce it sucks so bad.
Justin Wilton to solve this, I’d recommend having a para following you set to auto roar, or a pack of something set to agressive following you. Ur choice, but they should deal with raptors.
Kapros and thylas kinda wreck ground mounts as well. Especially in solo play where it can be almost impossible to quickly kill a high level kapro or Thyla. If you get caught by a thyla and dont have a good shotgun you're basically fucked.
You should deserve a lot of subscribers your really helpful
Tip: battle ankys can be used just as well to harvest and vice versa. if your in a tribe war or something and you really need help, use some of your harvest ankys. or if you dont plan on fighting anytime soon, you can move some of your battle ankys to metal rocks.

A good tip. If your going to the mountains to tame an argent get an anky or a dodic when your there

I got one with a slingshot and mejoberrys and that was sky first time taking them btw I'm new that's why I've been watching your vid great vids😁
Be careful near water with an anky. It's still possible for them to die through the waterline glitch, which was reported as early as 2015. It happened to me today. They enter the water, get stuck in some kind of non movement bug, then drown as time passes (happens in shallow waters too; the bug makes it look like they are above the surface, but they aren't).

You should do a basics video on whistles and the various behavior settings. Neutral vs. attack my target, the default hotkeys, the “Sic ‘em!” whistle, etc.

I just put most of my level up points in health and melee and he turns into a mini wrecking machine against low to mid level dinos
keep up the good work philinger :D , and anky's no longer auto harvest the only dinos that auto harvest are (Therizinosaurus , Doedicurus , Beaver , Moschops) :D

Imagine you're chilling with your friend and then some green guy riding Garfield kills him and dips
Anky needs a attack speed buff cause I almost tamed two with a slingshot while my leg is broken I was right in form of them but the attack animation is too long and they could not kill me (btw a rex killed them)
If I use an anky with a normal rock will I still get a bunch ‘o’ metal?
I am using nitrado for my server and when I jump on my ankylosaurus and I swing the tail after hitting the bunch of rocks many times nothing has been looted, what do I do?

just started ARK with a friend and we were just looking for a dino that can farm stone and metal, also ABC = Achieve Build Conquer :D

I actually tame them with mejoberries and narcoberries

I literally saw one of these and kinda just shot at it with tranq darts

AceInTheHole herbivore island and no worrying about them getting beat up while taming but that’s only island which map?
I've seen quite a few of them in the "mosh pit", as Phlinger calls it. An area up towards the NW of the map, just below the glaciers.

I have flint coming out mine and my dinos ears. However my metal drop rate is nonexistent... Its become a super awful problem. Any idea what im doing wrong? Or what I should do?
are you hitting metal nodes or just rocks?

I tamed my anky with an alpha carno and raptor a few feet away from me

Me who tamed mine with mejo berries and no narcotics
I knocked a 145 anky out with a sling shot and waited hours for it to tame with mejo berries and when it was at 98% an argen came by and killed it my year was ruined.
Doedicerus auto harvest I think
They really should make it do the ankh can roll over and k.o someone
I tamed one with just berries all you need is like 150 narco berries to keep it unconscious
ankys don't auto harvest
He showed it in another video how they do. He picked it with an argy and just let it down and it did it.

When I tamed mine I had a trike and a parasour guarding him along with a mortar and pessel for naurcautics

I don't care if I'm four years late: don't forgot to set your tamed Ankylo's to wander before picking them up to harvest. They'll auto harvest if they're set to wander while you're carrying them

Harrison Peck you can find them on the island I’m not to sure where tho there’s some on herbivore island which is south or on the map it’s like 85 85 or 90 85 pretty much at the bottom right also if you’re gonna go there bring a raft cause it’s a lot of swimming and you won’t survive long good luck

Apparently they don't damage stone structures, from what I saw. I know I'm a bit late on this answer and you probably already know, but just posting it for anyone new looking at this.
I assumed Ankies and Doedics would be able to damage my stone taming pen, but I just tamed one of each and was surprised to find the structures completely undamaged afterward, despite the attacks they did.
Now, I play PvE, not PvP, so I don't know whether that would still be true if you were riding the dino and attacked a stone structure...
Whwre can i find this on the island?

Fail on the video, location is key. Easy tame but where? Argo worries why? Video has be useless on the reason I tubed it.
