@@riccsty7851 I think that’s fun, a game where you can mount perfectly accurate dinosaurs and stuff would be boring. Like, without their crazy magical powers, most animals would be pretty much the same gameplay-wise. Accuracy doesn’t make for a fun game, believe it or not. And besides, Ark creatures were never accurate, they’re like Jpark levels of inaccuracy. Compare a “real” (I put quotations around “real” because the ideas for what prehistoric creatures looked like are constantly changing) Utahraptor to an Ark raptor (one of the first creatures added to the game).

I literally thought that combining poop and grenade would make a sticky grenade that was the reason why im hyped about the creature, but now im kinda disappointed, tbh im not really that hyped for any of the creatures in this update, amarsaurus is cool and all but i dont see any use of it in pve, the monkey is cool but it’s just like a deinonychus and ferox, the pet shoulder is cool bc now you can glide and also hover ig that’s the only useful creature i would find for pve imo. The creatures voting was just disappointing like i always wanted Acro and brachy from ark addition to come, and im 100% sure most consoles player want that too, and what did we get, a throwing poop monkey and a shoulder pet…
A few things you missed: The monkey's ground pound causes some animals to poop. If you double tap space while flying with the sino, you'll get an upwards boost, like the tek jetpack. And the sino scream can be used with the clap emote, so you can bind that key and use it instead of the wheel. Also, you can hit space while riding an amargasaurus to lock it in a direction so it won't turn, this allows you to aim at things without changing direction, like a tank turret. Whatever spike type is active, will be applied to the "neck shake" melee attack (I think this one requires you to face forward and not be moving). And last but not least, the armor spikes make everything take more damage (or maybe it negates mate boost armor, I need to test it more), so it is absolutely useful in PVE. (and one lil thing I want to add, I'm so glad the amargasaurus doesn't have loud ass footsteps like every other sauropod :) )
Same, I hate using the other sauropods because their footsteps are horribly loud. I was so happy to see that the amargasaurus had relatively quiet footsteps.

If you fall from really high, the sino spreads it's wings and slows your fall even with no stamina. I can't tell if it just really reduces fall damage or not but it seems to make you fall slower
Man, I was really hoping for more viable sauropods, so it is nice to finally see one. I know the titanosaur is op but it is basically useless in pve and takes up way too many resources.

All shoulder mounts should be updated to access their inventories while on your shoulder. It would make my Jerboa way more efficient when farming drops.

You can set them to automatically scream when threats are near, and they can scare off troodons, microraptors, pegos....really pretty much anything dilophosaurus sized and below
I was going to ask if anyone else was having issues with their Dinopithicus' unfollowing after attacking anything (corpses, enemies, being attacked by enemies), then I got to that part haha. Edit: I'm excited for the use of the little guy with Microraptors though.
The Dinopithicus is pretty much a Poop throwing adult Ferox, that's it. Why did 301 people have to be salty and stop us getting a new Apex carnivore, Carcharodontosaurus could've been the next Rex Megalo Hybrid

I still can't believe they put Extinction and Genesis creatures on the lost island. Plus Wyverns and Griffins... this map is OP. The only problem I had was the dino levels were really low. I flew around in creative mode and the best level dino I found was a 120 Allosaurs. Might just need a dino wipe. But some of the creatures on this map is gonna make it a cluster mainstay map kinda like Rag.
It seems like there's a significant lack of sea/water creatures on the new island, I don't know if we're waiting on something, or if it's just that way, or if I maybe just haven't found good areas. Hopefully soon I can play it more, I'm really enjoying what I've played so far.
Sinimacrop is so useful. You can carry it so you can still do everything else, can retreat from big dinos or just scale a mountain to get over it. Also it’s cute.

what im kinda frustrated is how steam did a Halloween and thanksgiving sale but no Christmas sale one of the two biggest holidays for Americans(im saying this because i didnt get the chance to get ark during those sale time and kept letting it slip my mind)
This video went up 3 hours ago. Hum, thats pretty much what it took me to update ARK even though it says I have a 900Mb/s download speed and a 760Mb/s upload speed. Gotta love them ARK updates.
Sad news. There are certain areas that the tunnels underground where the ‘LOADING…’ time is absolutely stupid. If you’re close to surface it takes around 3 - 4 minutes to progress into the caves and tunnels whenever your close to the surface and it’s a constant annoyance at this point. On the easy side of the map that occurs every time is the lighthouse area. Don’t by there, you will constantly be loading and unloading areas due to it being close to the surface where it’s at. And it’s mostly console side and it managed to crash for once on me for constant overloading… yeah literally a bad joke but bad in itself.

The Sinomacrops is not a poor mans tek jet pack because you don’t get emotionally attached to a tek jet pack

I like the idea you need to gather something specific from the dino to be able to make their saddle.

I can’t help but feel the Dinopithicus has too many abilities, to the point it replaces existing creatures and makes them obsolete.

I think the monkey dos take falla damage but because you are on god Mode It disables damage on Riding crestures
tested and it doesn’t take fall damage

You forgot to mention that your own sinomacrops will in fact murder you if you're wearing chitin armor.
The climbing animation for the dinopithecus needs some work but other than that they're done really well
