    That actually helped me see how I will wire my security camera through and behind the soffit to the inside electrical point on my garage.
    Thank you for your really handy videos. ;0)

    Quick, entertaining, and helpful video. Thank you! Follow-up question - my home is < 1 year old and soffit is all intact, but I noticed in some places, the vinyl soffit is buckled a little, not laying perfectly flat, leaving tiny gaps between the soffit itself and the track it is laying on - 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Should I pull it off and try to fit it back in so it does lay perfectly flat or is it normal to have areas that don't seem to lay flat? Thanks for any advice!

    • @homemend
      @homemend  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey, hey, great questions. Sometimes they lay a little funky… If you need help taking it down, you may try short, self tapping screws to secure through the J channel and then to the siding. Try to be as discreet as possible. I hope this helps.

    I am trying to put my soffit back in place and i wonder why there are a bunch of plastic clips that wedge the soffit with the inside of the fascia - they seem to be used to keep them in place but i can’t always seem to pull the soffit back in place for the clips to secure them (because the soffit pulls back towards direction of the house as soon as i let go). Is it ok if I don’t bother with the clips and screw them in place instead?

    • @homemend
      @homemend  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Sakura pop I’ve seen people use aluminum nails to tack it in place or maybe a small self tapper would work but you don’t have to use the clips. Great question. Thanks for commenting

    It's funny I watched this video today. Earlier, I was on the roof cleaning out my gutters and got attacked by one of those damned carpenter bees. Looks like that's what came for you 🤣

    • @homemend
      @homemend  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely. They are ruthless at times. They sound scary but they are all fluff. Lol

    • @yamuson08
      @yamuson08 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@homemend they're definitely ruthless. They are destroying my carport. I bought one of those traps for them, but they are more interested in flying all up in my face 🤣

      If the woods not too bad you can wrap it in aluminum trim coil for ultimate protection. Otherwise you can liquid nail the holes. They will eat most caulks out. Crazy.

    I'm currently trying to repair some vinyl soffit. Unfortunately, they're nailed to each other under the aluminum faccia cover, so I'll have to remove faccia cover 😢

      Hey Juan, you might need to do that my friend and yes you were right to send the sad face, tried to pull the nails when trying to remove the aluminum coil. Be careful and if you can’t do it you’ll find somebody to replace it. You got this
